Looks like I'm hanging up my saddle, boys and girls. It was a pleasure trolling on the outskirts of these forums. Probably the most fun I've had on any forum, really. I'll be easing my foot off the pedal for now. Seeing how we have some heavy contenders in the Epic Fail Whale division here at EA/BioWare (Ability Response, Performance, Texture Quality & Graphics), I can finally put a rest to my distress and not worry about if the game will be repaired next patch or not. Mr. Stephen Reid has convinced me that these problems will not be corrected in a reasonable amount of time, and while it is melancholy to realize this, a huge weight is finally off of my shoulders. And to that I am grateful. Most likely I will peer my head in here every now and then, but one thing is for sure: a freshly-sealed SWTOR two-month Game Time card box will be collecting dust on my shelf for an indefinite amount of time. Still, I will look upon it every now and then, reminiscing on the good times when I wholeheartedly believed Betas were works-in-progress toward a better goal, and going Gold meant having a game that was finally worth investing my time and money in. Live long and prosper.

it isn't entirely broke. My WoW Cataclysm Mouse works in SWTOR only with the Ctrl+key options. Still, I do not like BioWare deciding to make Ctrl a modifier key only. I use standalone Ctrl as my main attack button in most games, and now I've resorted to using the "D" key...

The problem is your PC was bought at Best Buy. I'm sorry. That was too easy. Now to the topic at hand... I'm having similar issues in Tatooine where entire areas in between the rocks and mountains are "blanketed", if you will, with a flat plane of what looks like sand wall. I have to work around my view to see what I'm doing in these areas. Ergo, I've decided to hold off playing until Tuesday's patch. Hopefully they will squish those pesky bugs. If not, I'll be waiting for the next major update while my 2-month Game Time card collects dust on my desk.

There's a difference between crying over how difficult a game is because you're lazy and don't want to put the effort into doing things as they were intended, and another for legitimate issues. Like a barbershop.

... if BioWare is able to fix most of the performance issues this coming month? I, for one, will be content in posting much less frequently if it happens. (and actually enjoy playing SWTOR much more) Although it has been a pleasure trolling with you all for the past few weeks.

Sorry I didn't make it clear earlier, but I've worked in the PC repair field for 4+ years now, building my own PCs for 8 years.

It really only happens when I'm entering different worlds. Alt+Tab screens and such have no problems.

^^ I couldn't get past the first 3 minutes. Audio needs much improvement (balance, people. and use a standalone mic instead of the built-in camera mic), Cinematography could use some help (especially with the shaky cam), Lighting is greatly needing work on, Acting is a bit rushed. Tell me where the good stuff happens and I'll try to sit through it.
