  2. I place a Mara, Sin, Sniper and Jug on the same level with Pyros being a bit higher. Those five classes are balanced. The other three need to be brought up to their level.
  3. Anhil doesn't work as well because of the long set up time. If you can do 200k healing it normally means you were not killing the other teams players, just damaging them without ever killing them. When you step into rateds the kings are front loaded damage such as Jugs and Pts. That is also where the middle tree will shine for Mara/sents.
  4. As a guy who has multiple level 50 WH characters I can honestly say balance is pretty good with 5 out of the 8 classes. You can make a nerf PT, Mara, Shadow, Jug and Sniper thread fairly easily. They really need to focus on bringing up the other three classes to the same level for rated PvP viability.
  5. As someone who has both classes as well I can say a Mara is easy to beat on a VG. The problem most people have is they don't take the time to learn a Mara's CDs and blow everything at once. You can actually run circles around most Maras on a PT.
  6. Switching to F2P and removing staff members I assume has set developement back quite a bit. This game is currently in a bit of purgatory until the sweeping changes occur.
  7. Rateds are all about the 2-3 globals and focus fire. If you are a dot class or a class that needs to be on the target 5 or 6 seconds you have issues. It's why you rarely see sorcs, lethality gs/snipers and why mara's prefer to the middle tree in rateds (and pred). Force sweeping jugs/guardians and pts are top dogs in rateds. They can kill people before the healer realizes there is a target swap.
  8. The game has decent balance. You have five dps classes that are very strong and three that could use some love. Balance is close with Sins, Maras, Snipers, Jugs and PTs. DPS Sorcs (dot based classes aren't the strongest in rateds), Ops (stealth) and Mercs (something to make them useful) could use some love.
  9. A good rated team will protect the pyro and be happy they are not attacking the healer. The class is far from squishy and really is only in serious danger when they try and hang out in melee for the extra stock strike or punch.
  10. Full tank, half tank or mod for pure power and go force sweep.
  11. I don't see the point of saying OPs got messed up or broken so nerf other classes.
  12. You realize Mara's and Sents are less OP after the consumable change, if they didn't get tagged in 1.3 I don't expect much in the next patch.
  13. That's not a Mara problem, that is a serious design flaw with commandos. Edit: They need to look into DPS Sorcs, Dps Ops and Commandos. The other five classes have more class balance.
  14. Yes they get a cautorize snare (very few watchmen in rateds). They still have to be in melee to damage. The difference is a pyro gets a perma snare and can dance in and out of 10-30m range. Btw I don't just play a sent, just understand game mechanics.
  15. Gunslingers, legshot, knock back, knockback on aimshot, flash bang, nutt kick and snares (based on spec). All of those are defensive abilities when used correctly. RANGE. Deception Assasins vanish, slow, knock back, stealth, low slash, deflection, focused resolve, force speed, stun. DPS Sorcs: see assasins but add range. Pyros: Perma snare, crygo grenade, aoe mez, heavy armor, RANGE. Ranged classes don't get defensive CDs because they are range. It's simple and easy to understand. You can fill out scoundrals because it's the class I'm least familiar with. You forget to list abilities that can be used to form serperation or stop incoming damage.
  16. If you don't understand why a pyro has fewer cd's you haven't played one. The perma snare mixed with the ability to kite is one of the best defensive abilities in the game. You confuse CD's with the ability to survive.
  17. I deny it, the class goes down like a wet noodle with out their CDS.
  18. A good smash jug has the highest front loaded damage in the game, only closely followed by a PT. If you are calling out targets in vent you want a smash jug and pt on the target.
  19. Play rateds with a good group. Mara's very middle road. Look into smash jugs and pyros.
  20. Tanks with that ability would be absurd. My Jug can already survive for the length of a spawn vs 2 or more people.
  21. First of all I love this game. The main issue I see is the game is almost a year old and it's still missing features vanilla wow had. They needed this game to build onto what WoW has made or go and do something totally new.
  22. If it lets more people play the game and improves subs you can actually see more money coming in. I'm not sure any MMO will do what WoW did in it's peak. People seem to want to step away fromthe MMO grind.
  23. It becomes pay to win when a sub based player has to spend more money to be on an even playing field.
  24. It really depends how many new people end up paying.
