  1. powershot does less damage then tracer, its why people use tracer over powershot. You get 9% hitting burning targets, and 35% penetration, so you remove 35% of their armor stat, which then lowers their damage reduction by 5-10%. you may get a minor increase in damage from railshot every 2 to 3 shots, but it still does not compare to getting demo round. which is a tech attack, gets +30% damage and +30% crit damage
  2. Ok, so lets say tracer does not get that armor pen, does not matter, its a tech attack and by pass's all def/shielding stats, this makes up for that. Plus 35% armor pen amounts to maybe a 5% more damage, 10% at the very most. Which still does not put powershot in the range of tracer missles base damage. Now with the rail shot, you get 30% base damage on it from tracer, that means your crits hit harder too. so 30% base damage > 30% crit damage. Plus demo round does get a 30% crit bonus to boot, which has a much higher base damage then railshot, and its a tech attack to boot. So All you are doing is making a subpar build compaired to a tracer missle setup.
  3. so wait, let me get their straight. You are powershot spamming with a set up to make powershot slightly stronger when hitting burning targets. I wonder if you know that tracer missile does more damage. *sigh* Then tracer missile even makes your rail shot do more damage then this build, plus ya get demo round which is basically rail shot on steroids. So again, I say this is a troll, a very bad troll.
  4. this has to be a troll, that is the single worse pyro merc build i have seen yet. You miss all the important skills in the tree that makes the pyro build work. GG.

  6. You are assuming the merc goes pryo, which most merc's don't. Plus, Merc's are the easiest class to shut down, far from the "best" class in the game.
  7. nope, they run just as fast as everyone else, and they have just as much exit stuff as everyone else. There is no "thief" class either, only rouges. They are a warrior, which is a duel sword wielder, a slayer: 2h sword user, and the archer.
  8. Though i find this whole thread funny. There was a post on the Tera forums where a guy asked why there was no stealth class in the game. he then got laughed at for 5 pages, and its still going... just saying.
  9. i know what the tool tip says, but just telling you how the game calculates it, believe it or don't, i could not care less.
  10. thoses skills act more of a gated DR then a Flat DR rate. unsure which is taken first power barrier or reactive shield. but the way it works is skill>armor for damage reduction so say you have the shield up, with 30% dr from armor, and you get hit by a 1000 damage skill with 0 armor pen. the shield will strip 25% of that 1000 away, so 750, then armor will take another 30% from that so 525 damage will make it through. its still a big part taken off, but its not a full 55%.
  11. every tanks main tanking skills are also on CD, how does this make it any different? Op's also have stealth, like only 1 of the class's i listed, Ops have heals, unlike any of the class's i listed, see what i did there? its a moot point. ops do have a sustained dps, just seems you don't know how to do it, as i see quite a few ops never bothering to stealth at all, and ****** face in melee. Never QQ'ed about anything, i was countering your statement that ops were squishy, which you just proved that i was right. The class's i listed were tanks if ya didn't notice, it was to point out that armor means nothing. I kill most op's cause they are bad players, Theres a few good/better ones on the server i play.
  12. you do know the difference from med to heavy armor is 5% right? thats oh so much more tanky, *sigh*... also OP's in any spec also get a shield probe, which adds to that, as well as heals. So they are by no means super squishy. 'Cause honestly, i've killed Jugs/PT's/Assassins faster then i can kill some Op's that were a dps spec.
  13. Not sure where you are getting that stealthers are any more squishy then any other class, if anything they are slightly better off then a good few class's. Though you see, the lack of closer/knockback is a price they pay for having a far more OP skill in terms of tactical movement. Honestly, i'd love to see stealth removed from the game, and the class's had it be rebalanced.
  14. Yes, sure, theres ways to prevent stealth from happening, but, dots can be cleared before in combat stealth, in the case of the op's. Assassins really don't need it for anything other then im going to slip away and make you untarget me, 'Cause it does not matter if it breaks for them, as they just force speed away as well. Honestly i think in combat stealth is the stupidest mechanic ever. DnD ( where stealth/rouge stuff came from, for most people) Does not have In combat stealth on rouges, cause that would be OP as hell. Though you can get a prestige class called a shadow dancer that does have a in combat stealth, but to have that, you pretty much give up any kind of combat, cause it gimps you pretty badly to even get to it.
  15. Rouge class's are not what we are talking about. The comment of "most other mmo's have in combat stealth" is at question here. 3 games is not Most mmo's. Plus as far as i know, any PvP mmo's that are not F2P try to balance out their pvp quite well, baring any of the Wow clone games ( wow, Aoc, war, rift, swtor). Aion may be another one that had really bad balance from what i've heard, never played it so. But that is a host of PvE centered MMOs, so Pvp will never be that nice, Now Pvp Centered MMO's Pvp is almost always balanced well.
  16. ok Missed one, didn't play rift, but it is another Wow clone. so, its safe to say, Wow clone games have in combat stealth. 'Cause no other MMO has it, Most do not even have stealth, or if they do it only works if you sit perfectly still.
  17. This is new to me. What MMO's have in combat stealth where you are a 100% invis? only ones i know of are wow, and swtor.... To OP, Go play Tera when it comes out, or GW2 both do not have invisible man classes and will never add them. They simply do not add anything meaningful to MMO, other then balanced issuses that will never be fixed. I'll be at tera, where combat is involving! and not 1,2,3,4 i win....
  18. AoC- barbarian's Cyclone of steel, was able to 1 shot people, also the tank class had a charge that had a bug, where you could get it to crit and 1 shot people as well, was funny as hell. Darkfall- Dragon mob's, they all one shot anyone every attack, with a massive AoE.
  19. As a Powertech, Both Commandos and Mercs are my Favorite targets. They die so easy.

  21. Only thing i see, is Stop jumping so much! it slows ya down, not good. What build is that? you seem to be a mix of the middle and last tree.
  22. Any chat macro's can be set up by players already with their own software/hardware. Then beyond that, i say no to macro's of any kind. But, Ya know if you were good enough with scripting, you can make all those macro things you want with 3rd party software already. You just have to make it, its not that hard. You just run the risk of bioware catching you for botting.
  23. wait... so you're saying, he has to PVE to PVP.... Is this not what so many "but gear equals skill!" people are fighting? or ************ about? Plus, NO ONE said they are nerfing pvp gear. Get over that people, the sky is not falling. They are Closing the power gap. Whats most likely going to happen is More PVP gear to be got by PvP, like maybe a lvl 50 starter set? crazy, i know. Maybe they will even Buff the less then BM pvp gear to make it less of a massive jump. Maybe, they will even make it so you can get a lvl 50 starter set, when you're not 50, So all that lower then 50 pvp ya did does not go to waste.
  24. Sorry that the skill in that game is different and beyond that of a theme park mmo. Don't ever expect carebears to understand.
