  1. You do know it is a fine line balancing leather/medium armor melee classes. Even more so without stealth. What seems more balanced when stuff was able to be lived and healed through, looks horribly broken when it tips over. Sentinel/mara damage will seem more in tune once damage is globally lowered. The will still do amazing dps, but will not be crushing ppl. Everyone else will be in a good place due to the utility they have. I also said they over nerfed some classes. Of course there are a lot who think that they were over nerfed, but probably were not. The same way you think sentinels are completely broke, and I do not. It is all in the eye of the viewer. It however is never good to try to balance too much at one time. Get the healing to damage ratio proper, then move on to minor class tweaking. Massive class nerfs would only cause the same problem 1.2 did. Too much, too soon...
  2. Sad to say it, but the nerf criers are what cost you that spec. The same people are working on fully destroying this game.
  3. For real, I am a full WM Crafted augmented sentinel, the best gear outside of strictly warmaster. I am getting rocked by a bunch of classes. Hell, I took an unlucky 9k crit from demo round today. It is not any one class, it is all classes. They did indeed nerf some classes too much though. 1.2 is a mess right now.
  4. Ton of stuff is super op right now. shadow tanks, vanguard/pt damage specs, commando/merc 8-9k crits, and huge gunslinger crits. The big problem is not sentinels/maras, it is the global damage. It is far too high, and the healing is too low. You people calling nerf to different classes are too slow to see the big picture. Most of you nerfherders are the reason balance is so messed up to begin with. How many games in a row are you guys going to cry nerf and ruin. The balance in this game was so close prior to this patch, and now it is so messes up. Unnerf tanks and heals, and lower the global damage down a bit. The problem is not a single class, or any class for that matter. I've seen other threads with suggestions that will ruin sent/mara and commado/mercs as a class. These kinds of balance issues need to be handled with extreme care. Nerfing classes is not sledge hammer tactics. They need to fix the global damage and healing, and then judge where damage is at after. Stop the nerf calls, you are ruining a good game.
  5. Do what, commandos huge 8-9k crits are also broken... and powertech/vanguard is sickly broken right now as well. You are just as out of touch as the people you are appealing to. The problem is global damage being too high, and healing being too low.

  7. We do a mega **** ton of damage, no lie. The defensive cds do very little post patch, minus the bubble. We die super fast. Do we need to be tuned, maybe. But are you seriously gonna f in tell me that commandos/mercs doing 8-9k crits, vanguards stupid pt damage, and gunslingers casted nukes are not op as hell too? This patch mesed a lot up. Sentinels should not be singled out.
  8. 1500 credits from a win. F in ridiculous. I play this game to pvp, not to circle jerk one out on pve bosses. I need to make money from what I do, or else you can make money from everyone else when pvpers move to another game. This patch has been nothing but a major letdown. We all complained about it on the public test server forums, and you(ea/bioware) lied and said it was only lowered that much for testing purposes. Give me my money back, or significantly lower the amount it cost to move mods and enhancements around on your poorly itemized gear.
  9. This patch is so retarded. You can kill ppl in 2 hits, and you die in 2 hits. All your cooldowns barely do anything at this point. Stun durations are still full length, and you die in one duration. Whoever gets the jump on someone wins. Bioware really messed up on this one...
  10. I am full champ with 3 pc of bm gear, and I have 15940 self buffed. Your numbers are flat out wrong saying full champion gives 16,500. Maybe mixing pve gears, but then you get blown up as melee.

  12. With the surge nerf, I went from about 87 percent to 76. I know I need to drop some surge, but do not want to sacrifice too much crit. What kind of enhancements would be good to even it out. Right now I have all crit/surge enhancements from champ gear. My stats Strength: 1269 Crit: 448 Surge: 342 Power: 188 Anyone know of a good way for me to re-balance, and what enhancements would help this. Edit: I forgot to add I am watchman. I see the power/surge enhancements, think these would be good?
  13. Looks to me someone rolled a fotm class that got brought down to earth, and a tank class that they do not understand. Both of those classes do extremely well. You should take a few moments to watch some videos, and brush up on your game. I know that both classes are moderately fear intensive. I looks to me like you split your time too much. Personally I would gear the guardian. They have a high skill cap, but you can do well. I am not trying to be mean, but balance threads like this are not needed. Guardians have several niches they can fall into, and plenty of utility for team play. I know you are a casual alt leveler, and that is the problem. Casual people will always have it rough.
  14. Watchman = Healer killer/single target I melt faces spec Focus = Mad aoe sweep damage/decent passive defense talents/good utility Combat = Good cc? I am sure it is good, but I find the other specs better. I dig both focus and watchman.
  15. It helps the PTs and Vanguards a ton, and it would be nice for us too. Would go a long way in hutball. We get by without it, but it would definitely add some flavor. >.> would also help the nubs who think we are underpowered.
  16. ...And if they attacked the tank, the healer would keep him up. This is a group game, a solo tank is useless. A tank's utility is where he shines. Your cooldowns are plenty enough, and if cycled provide decent mitigation. If you think a hybrid dps/tank dies faster than a squishy then I cannot help you. You seem to be tunnel visioning, while I am talking broad spectrum.
  17. I've seen tanks carry the ball, with 3 dps beating on them, through the goal line. If you have not, then you do not pvp enough. Powertech/ vanguard pvp tanks own, hybrids have nice damage and guard, and guardians/Juggernaut got supreme mobility. Tanks are good... pvp more and you'll know. Ever seen a vanguard, sage, and one dps hold a node down with 6 ppl em? I have.
  18. I am a 50 sentinel, full pvp gear, and high valor rank. My name is zerosis in game, and I do not want tracer to be nerfed.
  19. None of the other classes are out of control, just the bads that die to them. Nothing in this game is extremely out of wack, and it is the most balanced start of an mmo I have seen.
  20. I would like to start this post by saying that I am sentinel who has had terrible luck with the rng loot bags. I am not a lucky one who is rank 30 and full champ. I would like to take a few moments to go over a few things to hopefully stop the crying that will eventually ruin this game. Crying leads to rollercoaster balance and terrible gameplay. 1) Tracer missile/Grav Round - These abilities are 100 percent ok. Every class other than the commando or hunter using them has interrupts and multiple cc's to stop these abilities from being casted. Commandos/bh are by design immobile in that spec, and have little utility to help get away when someone attacks them. If they are turret moding and blowing you up... That is what they were intended to do. You cannot be a baddie pug and willy nilly around the map scoreboard hero like. If you are doing this YOU are the bad one hurting your team. YOU are the one who is the problem, not the commando/bh free casting on you ops group. 2) Tanks damage mitigation - I hate to say it, but the tank you see absorbing damage and running the hutball in, are designed to do that. You have the necessary cc at your disposal to stop them from scoring. Again you cannot go willy nilly scoreboard hero like. 3) Melee do not suck - The ability lag is to blame for most of melees problems. Until they fix that, we have no way of knowing how melee are and are not. 4) Combat Vanish - This skill is working as intended, and is melees escape mechanism. This should be the way it is. Range has plenty ways to escape. Please stop crying about every little thing. Nerfs are a terrible pvp cycle that ruins the game. Please take the time to read this, and flame me if you gotta. Edit: IMO, This game is real closed to balanced. Get a team and stop pugging. Play your class to your strengths, not whine about others strengths. Update: 5) gunslingers up: what? They can have CC immunity on a short cooldown. Take less damage in cover and cannot be leapt upon by gap closers. Have nice range. They also can stack abilities kn a target, CC, cast to hit close ti the same time, and 2-3 due to it. My guildie guards nodes and solos people all the time this way. Of course tank give them trouble, cause that's what they do. 6) players not realizing that they can improve: Alot of the time you die by putting yourself in a bad position, chosing the wrong battles, wrongful timing of defensive cooldowns, wasting knockbacks just because they are up, not pre kiting, not pre kiting, not pre kiting, and general lack of knowledge about the enemy. Knowing when to get out is half the battle. I know I often get greedy and just stay in a position for to long hoping lady luck is on my side, trying to get that kill. Oops stayed in the enemy line and died to tracer trying to kill a melee. Chasing is also a bad idea. You chase down a target away from the group/node, and find out they are going to own you. Guess what, you are to blame for chasing a good solo class down. 7) low valor rank/no weapon/bad luck bags/low expertise players screaming about balance: Come on guys.... stuff seems way more balanced in equal field. Get geared and you will see.
  21. Why would you necro this terrible thread full of lies? On my server there are several snipers/slingers that top wfs all the time. In no way are they underpowered. Not to mention they can spec cc immunity, cannot be interrupted, cannot be gap closed on, and do mad damage. Some of you guys are just crazy. BTW if you have never hit 200k ever, then this game is not for you.
  22. Force leap/charge should break roots and slows. This would help tremendously.
