  1. Very very small downward trend. Really lends some credence that the population overall is decreasing, at least in activity. A few big patches though and any losses on that chart should be reversed i think. all depends on how quick these patches are released. On your point about too many servers for the given population, I'd say is spot on. You can only dilute your player base across so many servers before too many people are exposed to something that feels akin to an empty single player game. Those are the people I'd be most concerned about in keeping as a customer. But *** do I know, right?
  2. I hope this is a sign of things to come. This standard model of MMOs are tired and inefficient. Spend months creating some big dungeons, only to have it cleared within a week by the hard core players, and never completed by the casual players. Varying levels of difficulty within the same dungeon is just cheap.
  3. Oh, well then in that case, you should probably head to tech help
  4. Sir. I applaud you. I would +rep you but these forums, much like the game, lacks features ha! got my jab in at the game for today. I'll stop before I get banned. I've had so many infractions already.
  5. i have no idea what the op is talking about but the pic of the creepy shadow figures has me intrigued. sir, what have you done to your tor client?
  6. Then how the heck did people manage to keep playing through TotC and TotGC, then followed by a tremendously long stretch of ICC for so long? Man, we were so easily tricked, and still are. My guild was 1 day short of getting grand crusader title and I'm still niffed about that. I once also cost the guild an immortal run wotlk had some bad memories
  7. Thus resulting in the early release of TOR. This game was a profit injector but it was short sighted and it will cost them in the long run. That is literally the only reason I could think of when I heard this game was to be released in 2012 while still in close beta. The beta testers collectively went then .
  8. Companions are one of the strong aspects of this game. I mean, you could, I don't know, play with people instead? This IS an mmo after all and you're well within your right and means to just group with friends.
  9. This is what fascinated me with the rift trolls. I played the game and it felt as klunky as it gets and played out like a carbon copy of wow. No one will ever explain how rift is any different in any meaningful way, yet they come in here and bash on tor, as if Rift isn't guilty of copying wow just as much if not more. Ever wonder if they're not trolls, but they're really just like that?
  10. They can take whatever time they want to fix anything they want. That is their prerogative. That said, subscribers can a complaint whenever they want about whatever they want about a game they're paying for. As a whole, there hasn't been enough communication between the developers and the players imo so bioware hasn't even been coming in here to defend themselves and say they'll be fixing X class and Y bug and adding Z down the road, or at least they're not reaching out as effectively as they could. One thing to note is the frustration that you see isn't exclusive to the forums. Just putting that out there.
  11. I'll admit, the game had its moments. I remember some colossal battle in a keep and I was that pita bright wizard just dotting up and aoeing everything at the entrance gate. the numbers... were glorious.
  12. just for future reference, when people compare tor with wow, they do it on a legitimate basis because they share an incredible amount of game mechanics and features. There isn't much deviation between the two games when you take off the bioware goggles and see whats beneath the glow sticks and blasters.
  13. For that to happen, people need to be pushing this game on to their friends etc. The press liked the game but they also like other ones too that never pulled in many numbers. In all honesty, I wouldn't get a friend to play this game because they're tired of "level to X, then kill the same monster and do the same battleground until you gain weight and smell funny"
  14. last time I was on, the queues were about 5-10 minutes. Not fast, not slow, but about what I've come to expect. Its been like 2 weeks though.
