  1. They don't have to justify anything to you, nor release any of the information you seem to want. If you didn't think nerfs and buffs were going to happen sooner or later you were out of your mind. Operatives/scoundrels are just the first on the list i'm sure.
  2. People who don't even play this game or care about it were reading a day ago about the ridiculous things happening to it. The Ilum thing along with the cancellation issues were plastered over every game news site i visited. If you truly don't think bad news spreads like fire over the net, and eventually reaches the ears of analysts, you're very naive. I'm not saying one way or the other if these issues did anything to EA's stock, but to think analysts don't get a feel for atleast some of the playerbase is just silly.
  3. Those 75%-90% seem a bit high for what's been happening at endgame. I can't speak for 2 million people, but I was enthusiastic about the game come launch, and got about 20 of my other friends to play so we can start a guild. Exactly 0 of us are renewing. This is from various viewpoints, pvp, pve, casual etc... The game just did too much wrong and not enough right for any of us. Especially if you are mainly interested in the PvP aspects of the game. The implementation was just horrendous, and I found the combat for pve just so stale. I'm sure they will retain alot of people only because of the branding alone, but I can't help but feel if this game launched as a new IP, or any other title for that matter, it would have faded so fast. Might take longer for some people to realize exactly the mess Bioware is creating here.
  4. How exactly does this change any of the complete and utter failures they have done in the past few days? The game is a lost cause for much more then the crappy engine with ability delay. The last few days have shown just how incompetent bioware is with this community. Tortanic is an understatement.
  5. The difference is none of those games cost even close to what EA shelled out for this game. This game also requires a much stronger subscriber base since after EA recoups its loss LucasArts starts getting a large cut of the profits.
  6. The entire lore of Republic being the underdogs and dominated by the Sith Empire is great for a movie and book franchise. It's awful for game design.
  7. Calling this a wow clone is a disservice to Wow. Everything wow does to make the game have some sort of ambience, life, fun are completely absent from SWTOR. The game feels extremely lifeless. The PvP is pretty bad right now, and gets old fast with the warzone grind. Swtor had the chance to do something new and fun, and maybe evolve mmo's alittle, instead it did a bad copy-paste job. Even the combat in SWTOR feels worse compared to "7 year old" wow. Oh and I hate wow.
  8. Let's not forget wow is a TRUE open world rpg and besides instances and very limited phasing, the whole game is seamless. Tor on the other hand looks maybe "slightly" better while running basically entire phased zones with very limited landmass. Basically TOR's engine is garbage.
  9. SWTOR is not competing with wow in 2004, it's competing with wow in 2012. Is this like the fanboy rally song or something. Whenever someone posts anything relating to how boring and lifeless the game is, this immediate response is the first. The game is not TERRIBLE. Ok I said it. it's probably a good game for a few specific people. In terms of an MMO though, it failed hard. You can justify your 15 bucks a month with whatever crazy notion you come up with, but in the end the game will hemmorhage subscribers due to some critical flaws which have been discussed here many many times. The game should have had a better working endgame at 50. The PvP is completely idiotic and stale, in six years they couldn't make another warzone? The world feels lifeless, completely and utterly devoid of anything other successful mmo's have done. No weather cycles, no day/night, instanced worlds with far too much empty space. The game world does not feel seamless, too much sharding, loading, zoning, instancing etc... It plays like a single player game with a chat box, yep this is a large complaint and one I'm not sure how they will fix. Simple things like chat bubbles were ignored so we get to watch a small rectangle at the top of the screen we can't even move zoom by at mach 5 while we type TANK LFG XXX. I can even excuse the lack of addons, I can understand addons are not for everyone, fine. However to not have a customizable UI is beyond lazy. Even Rift got most of the things right out of the gate and they had a much much smaller budget. The engine sucks, even Bioware made mention they understand certain things like ability lag are present, hey guess what, you picked a crap engine. The fanboys who blindly pay thier fee's to the Bioware gods are going to support this train wreck, which is fine I guess, thier money not mine. They probably liked Dragon Age 2 also.
  10. SWTOR isn't TERRIBLE by any stretch, but the PvP is atrocious. If you are even alittle interested in PvP'ing in this game you will probably unsub at some point soon. It's a fun single player rpg with a chat window, that about sums up my experience to 42. You are also out of your mind if you think Guildwars 2 is going to be awful, funniest thing I've read here yet. A quick video search and you can see the combat does something SWTOR failed to do....It looks FUN! This game will be F2P by the end of this year.
  11. Many would have preferred they beta tested LONGER so these issues could have been worked out without us PAYING for this buggy pos.

    This is PVP?

PvP failed in this game, cancel with the rest of us.
  13. What a joke thread. So basically anyone with any real issues with this game are wrong, and are to blame for the lack of pvp depth? This game has the most idiotic and simplistic pvp systems I've ever seen. World pvp is a non existent joke, and the warzones are an even bigger joke. Bolster doesn't work perfectly unlike the blind fanboi op wants to believe. In fact the bolster is a very flawed system. 50's badly need thier own bracket, why this wasn't done is beyond me. The game runs well enough, it's stable and that's about all I can say nice about it. This game should have launched in 2006. It will not retain even half its current customer base. There is simply much more wrong with the game then right. Everyone I started with on launch have already cancelled, the game is just boring to most people I've played with, can't be a coincidence. This isn't even just a pvp complaint, the game feels hollow, shallow, linear and bland. The world is lifeless, the sharding is ridiculous. The PvP is actually the only semi fun many of us had, but it's just not nearly enough to justify the price tag. Wish I could get my money back.
  14. Almost didn't buy it because never tried the betas, some friends talked me into it, and already bored of it. Wish I had the option of my 60 bucks back. The pvp is terrible and the world is bland and lacks that MMO feel. I absolutely hate the sharding. This game is probably going to hemmorhage players quickly so wouldn't be surprised if it went free2play.
  15. You aren't alone OP, myself and about ten friends are just amazed how hollow and bland this game turned out to be. I can't honestly seeing myself playing past the first month, and even that is going to be a chore. There is this overall feeling to the game that it's just bleh. I suppose your points highlight this better heh.
