  1. Did I miss something? When did they impliment autoattack?
  2. I dont think it is impossible. Guild wars are a huge missing piece. Bragging rights for dominating another guild is definately pvp incentive. The population unbalance has nothing to do with guild wars.
  3. The biggest crutch for open world pvp is the restrictions BW has put on us. We cant travel to many of the opposing players areas. And places we can get to are guarded by "god" NPCs that will blast you back to SWG if you come in range. I rolled a toon on a PVE server to just see the difference in pvp. To me I didnt see any. For those of us who rolled a pvp server, we should be able to go to the other factions areas and lock it down or do whatever the hell we want. It is up to the other faction to kick us out. The WZ kill open pvp, everyone is too busy running wz to bother going out in the rest of the "world" to kill other players. SWG didnt have wz to begin with and that is why the world pvp was so good. We had to go out there are beat on each other. "Not set up a playdate (wz) and arrange it so everyone has fun and make sure everyone doesnt get their wittle feelwings hurt cause they got ganked." (sarcasim off) Dont get me wrong I still like the game and expect they will make changes as we progress. Hell it is only been a little over a month. SWG in the beginning was 100x worse that this game. Give me guildwars and I'll be happy.
  4. Not to be negative, but the whole point of an immobilzation is to keep someone from doing anything. So of course if your immobal, then you should not be able to activate something like cover. If you frag grenade someone they cant use any of their abilities except thei"de-immobal" whichever it may be called for each class. But we have one too.
  5. Bleh....sounds too RP'y to me. The fact is the faceless horde will always choose bad guys. They are the sweet little boy and girl in RL but on a faceless game they can be that evil dark sith. Get over it. Red is dead and move on.
  6. Some are on Warriors of the Shadow (KTD and few others)
  7. I agree stay high with huttball. But, it seems I do start to gravitate towards certain places on a map because I know my excape route, I know I have some cover to protect a blind side or something like that. When I'm on offense in voidstar I also like to set up at a max distance so I can start to DPS while the melee try to set the explosives. I heard some say they like to setup on the bridge in the second phase and let melee attack them and then hit the "pushback" (sorry cant remember the name) and knock as many as they can off the bridge. I've tried it once and it was pretty funny. In the final room, I've tried to set up on the containers, it works based on where the fight is of course, but it keeps the melee off you and with hunker down the BH cant harpoon you.
  8. I looked for a specific thread on where Slingers like to setup cover for the best possible LOS. Civil War: The most obvious position is the balcony next to the middle turrent. This is a great place, but it seems to me that there are more people who know that and will prevent you from setting up there. I actually found it better to set up next to either the left or right pillar as you go up the ramp. It gives me a good LOS to the turrent controls and most of the imps dont see me with the pillar obstucting thier view. I've been trying to find a good spot on the left turrent on the hillside and still keep a good LOS. It is a work in progress. Same for the right. Anyone tried using the junk and rocks in the center of the area near the left or right turrents? Voidstar: If on defense I like the very first container you jump down to when starting the round in the first room. I start here first and see where the fight moves to. Usually I have to jump down at some point to move elsewhere. I dont really have any other good spots in this WZ. However, I'm looking. Huttball: ROFL, not sure. I guess I usually try to setup initially right in front of the acid pool overlooking the huttball holder. It is risky because I have been pushed from behind into the acid or pulled from a BH standing on the other side. But it is my own fault. I stayed in one place too long. So what are your good spots???
  9. I have to say I sure miss locking down towns of opposing guilds. Heck guildwars at all would be nice, hopefully BW will impliment that in the near future. Once thing I enjoyed about Bria was the open world pvp. It was rich and engaging. BW has a way to go with their game.
  10. I dont mean to say Britain was completely useless. Far from it. Despite everything, Britain really was the only army that was standing in the way of the German machine. There has been recent research that shows that the Germans were gearing up for that invasion. The supplies were being gathered, plans were being drawn up for it. Then Pearl Harbor happened, against the wishes of Hitler. The American's jumped into the war and started their European Front with a move on Northern Africa. This was not by accident, Africa was weaker than western Europe. We moved there to soften the defenses of the Germans western european front. The Germans had to suspend the plans being drawn up for the British invation and the supplies that were being stockpile had to be diverted to Africa to shore up the defenses there. Britain played just as big of a role in the Northern Africa campaign as the Americans. They needed a second army to help them get going. Prior to that the Brits were in a defensive stance, with the Americans they changed to a more aggressive offensive strategy. And I'm glad we dont have to call Mr Crumpettes, Mr Weiner-Schnitzel.
  11. There is a point when using the XS firefrieghter. If you throw a Flash grenade the person is stunned for 8 secs. throw a Sabo charge, it wont bring them out of stun because there is no damage until you hit it, then hit the XS and finally finish with AS. When the cast time of AS, you will get the XS flying in plus the sabo going off and the AS. A large amount of damage in one small amt of time. I agree the XS should not be part of a regular rotation. But it should not be ignored for special situations. It has too much damage potential to be ignore all together.
  12. I have to say that I enjoy playing the Gunslinger. The cover mechanic is a pain, but the trade off is we have arguably the best damage output of any class. That means it needs to balanced some way. The cover mechanic is definately the balance. I have problems, but I'm only lvl 23. I need to figure out where to setup in each WZ so I have good range and able to get into cover. As far as my experience, I'm usually only sitting in the of the damage board. But, like I said I need to work on it more.
  13. It is widely known that if the Americans had not entered the war when we did. Hitler was ready to invade England. The daily bombings were meant to soften the British defenses. When the US began their Northern African Campaign, the germans had to divert resources from their planned invation of Britain to counter the American invation force. However, the red army did sacrifice a lot on the Eastern Front. I would not say they annilated 75-80% of the german army. The Soviets were loosing the eastern front until winter set in and the Germans were not prepared.
  14. Umm yeah, you do realize it was just a movie and this is just a game right???
  15. Lies....you know its like hearding cats.
  16. I agree with guild pvp. I can remember my greatest memories in SWG, being in guild wars.
  17. Not to be negative, but I have to disagree. In my experience, they see that screen go up and boom. They are on me cause that basically means I'm a SS and they know I have great damage output if they let me start rolling through my abilities. Lately it seems if I drop down my screen I got a couple Sith on me pretty quick.
  18. Yeah, and you would rather be on a server where your weakness can be overshadowed by the huge mass of meat in front of you. But whatever floats your boat.
  19. This is why you have problems finding more players to pvp against. Most on your server are not concerned about pvp and are doing whatever it is that carebears do. Roll on a pvp server and you will have more luck. I'm a casual gamer and I dont have that much of a problem
  20. I would have to say that SS is prefered because of the amount damage you put on a single person. I have seen more going into DF for a pvp build because it relies less on your cover.
  21. I'd do the sticky request if I knew how to do it.... What about "No Holds Bared" it doesn't seem the points used are worth only a 6% increase in your crit chance. Dont mean to hyjack this thread but there is a lot of good info in here and people who really know this class.
  22. Naw, I'd rather be on a server without the zerg guilds. "Throw more meat at the grinder, eventually we will win!"
  23. Thanks, I didnt realize you still had the "cast time". I'm only a lvl 19 so I havent spec'd up to that yet. It was just on my worked out lvl 50 spec. I'll modify it then.
  24. The eyepatch looks like a cybernetic facial option when you are making your character...There is a item you can equip to get an eyepatch?
