  1. As a casual, I have mixed feelings about this. My Sentinel is more interesting to play than my Scoundrel, partly because of what I have to manage. On the other hand, I fight best on my Sent when I watch my hotbar rather than the fight ensuing above it, despite the fact that I have carefully hotkeyed nearly every power; with my Scoundrel, I rarely watch the hotbar and do just fine. In addition, if I get at all distracted while playing my Sent, my companion and I take heavy punishment quickly. With my Scoundrel, playing well takes focus, but the self-heals mean a mistake probably won't be deadly. To answer the OPs question, I think the class will eventually be streamlined somewhat. Not necessarily a lot, though. I think Bioware will carefully watch the number of players who roll Sentinel, then give up to play an easier class. Once they have enough data, they'll make whatever changes they feel that data warrants.
  2. Wraith, thanks so much for this thread and the one that lead to it. You are an awesome member of this SWTOR community. Once that white crystal is added to the game, I'll know just where to look to find a generous and committed group of people who share a passion for tracking it down. (Hopefully I'll be high enough level by then to help out.)
  3. I have a 6950 without shaders unlocked and a 2500k at the standard 3.3 with 8GB of ram and those numbers sound about the same as mine, maybe a little lower. I've noticed I manage to stay above 30 fps even in the fleet most of the time if vsync is off. Turning it on seems to cause a significant slowdown/loss of fps and when I rotate with vsync on the camera stutters.
  4. As a synthweaver who has crafted and uses the Aspiring Knight's Vest, I can attest that it is not the same piece as the one received on Tython... not by a longshot. The piece called Aspiring Knight's Vest received on Tython is part of a larger set of rich tan leather garments. The vest has a jacket and undershirt component, has a high collar, and is highly designed. After getting it on my Jedi Knight on Tython, I knew at once I would be disappointed when I found something higher level. Especially as part of a set, the Aspiring Knight gear just looks cool. Imagine my excitement when I saw the schematic called Aspiring Knight's Vest on the GTN. I immediately worked up my synthweaving to 60 just to craft this piece... only to discover that it looked like a gray version of the Watchman's Vest you can buy on Tython with Commendations. The orange, moddable Aspiring Knight's Vest is gray, has a wrap around the midriff (or a bare midriff for females), and a hood which is down, as well as straps on the biceps. It's a nice piece, to be sure, but not the fantastic piece I had so loved from the end of the initial Tython arc. Boo to whoever gave these two pieces the same name, thus deceiving this poor, fashion conscious Jedi.
  5. The Aspiring Knight's Vest and the Apprentice's Vest can be had as oranges. Neither have capes or robes.
  6. December 9, late in the day. Just got my email. Trying to decide whether I should log in... or just put it off til later. Good luck all.
  7. No info on the second, except they've tweeted wave 2 is coming very soon. On the first, people through part of the 8th are in. There was a spike in preorders in early December, so progress in terms of days has slowed some. If you put in your preorder code, you should get in some time today, though. Don't be worried.
