  1. What's the plan? When are the mergers? Hello! anybody still in there? Helloooooo?
  2. Critical mass has been lost. On a Saturday night only one server was heavy, two were medium and the rest had under 15 people on them. This is like watching a person with two major arteries spurting and wondering why the EMT's won't stop the bleeding. What possible business strategy could justify killing this game off?
  3. They will lose critical mass and become what Warhammer is today if they do not merge servers NOW. I wonder if they are too stupid, too arrogant, or too bureaucratically entrenched to make the only move they can make to survive.
  4. Or used one of many hacks off the shelf available for free on the interwebz.
  5. So you don't have access to the google machine where you live? Are you unable or incapable of typing "SW:TOR hacks" into the google machine? There are more hacks for the 'Hero Engine' than you can shake a stick at. MMO Vip er makes bots better at PVE than half the player base. Your arrogance and lack of knowledge are hilarious when viewed together.
  6. Would love to see just one server where you can attack anyone at anytime, except when they are in a group with you.
  7. I noticed that comms seem to be a little light also for a losing team. Not as much as they were before the last patch.
  8. Not seeing any of this on my PvP server but it is only a few days into the change. What I did see was faster ques and more PvP matches on my dead server than usual. Until of course the core 30 or 40 people left on the Republic side finished their 6 game daily. Then the fleet population dropped to under 10 people, at 9:00 pm pacific time. So not yet the horrible BOT fest that can happen when you switch rewards to a 'show up and get it' model, however the change is simply a very short term mask for the overriding problem of empty servers.
  9. The only question left is will they merge before it is too late to matter.
  10. Again, that wouldn't happen. The labels you are mentioning (names, legacy names) will either be exactly like they were before the merge or will have a short string on the end like an 'XX'. The items would be associated with the primary key (a GUID) and so no problem there either. It is really not a big deal unless they had a first time fool architect the database. Which I highly doubt. Transfers are more problematic and they have that working apparently. The true reason they won't merge servers is that marketing weasels are afraid it will be bad press. So instead the marketing geniuses will let subs bleed out until even merges are too late to save the game from losing critical mass like Warhammer did.
  11. Nonsense... data mergese are simple. Happens all the time in the industry and there are more than one way to do it. Legacy means nothing. All the accounts are identified by GUIDs (global unique identifiers). The only labels that need to get changed are duplicate names and that is easily handled by concatenating a short string (usually 'XX') to the end of the label.
  12. I believe you mean 'witless' monkey. A nutless monkey is only bad for making little monkeys.
  13. I was making a point to another person that is completely out of context now, but if you are really interested I will try to explain it to you. When you offer rewards for simple participation, you encourage bots. Been a universal rule in MMO's since Neverwinter Nights on AOL at $2.50 an hour. The tool cannot be detected programatically. You have to scan the players hard drives and snoop through all their stuff and yu still probably won't find the good ones that morph their signatures on install. But at this point it has nothing to do with the change to PvP on SW:TOR. You are arguing with me about the one half of the phone call you actually heard.
  14. they were fun the first 37,000 times we ran through them. Getting a bit stale now don't you think?
  15. Doesn't address the current problem. Wasn't really needed. You can count right? Calculate what those 99 rated comms cost from just doing WZ's with no reward or daily. It isn't very significant. It does nothing to address the current problem.
