  1. Excluding H2+ i tried to solo and H4 i tried to duo i think i only died once while leveling my sin. On the final boss i tried to out dmg and out interrupt him instead of kiting/losing. I don't remember ever dieing on my shadow, but hey i got my healer a lot earlier and i always kept her geared with up to level epics from my main. I might be remembering wrong because it's been like 4 months since i leveled them but i can tell you w/o any shadow of a doubt that i never died on my jugg while solo questing till her current level of 42. The memory is fresh in this case since i only started her last week. Anyway dieing has nothing to due with difficulty. You might die because you use a wrong tactic once, or because you pull to much since you are bored or because you use 20 levels old green quest gear or because... you want to skip the entire cave of re-spawns and res to the med center. But difficult? I wouldn't use that word in any context referring to the leveling in this game. Not worth this entire hassle with heroic moments and legacy unlocks and god knows what anyway.
  2. I'm not gonna say that you are doing it wrong and that some other set-up is better BUT... you do realize that by moving to TGFH you are losing ctrl and shift modifiers and because of that you don't have anywhere near twice as many key binds. Unless you have a very mobile and long pinky finger that is On topic: binds are a very personal and subjective "affair". Everyone should use w/e they feel more comfortable with because everyone is different. From hand size to "usual" hand positioning on the keyboard to dexterity. For example i have a friend with huge hands / long fingers and he can push 8 or j w/o moving hes hand from wasd but he has big problems with using modifiers. On the other hand i can't reach further than 6 or g but i can use ctrl, alt, shift w/o any problems so all my key binds have triple modifiers (not very useful in this game due to no macros / lack of abilities but it comes in handy for other games / activities) Another thing to note is that key binds are all about muscle memory. Just like when we all started using a keyboard we had to search every letter to type and after years of using it we can just do it w/o even looking at it. It's just practice and after a while (more or less depending on the person) it just feels natural. So don't force it or give up if it isn't working "instantly", just play around and as time passes you'll get better and better.
  3. Really? Before i say anything else i must make sure you are aware they are only usable while questing with your companion - all tho it might seem redundant after 10+ pages i must make sure because the bolded part raises some serious questions. So please enlighten me: what difficult battles are you talking about? Because you can't be using that phrase in relation with the leveling / questing in this game. It just wouldn't make any sense
  4. Well tbh i can live with that change. I read the patch notes so i bought an entire new set of BM gear and left it un-touched so it will upgrade. The stupid part is that now there aren't any decent enh to change to since they removed the champ gear. If i wear my new shiny upgraded BM set i lose tons of surge and power and gain... acc and crit which both are beyond useless for a sin (crit might be a bit more valuable as madness but i'm still on the fence on that one). I really don't understand their logic putting acc on EVEY every stalker set piece. It's just mind blowing, they could just as well throw alacrity on it... My only option now is to farm till my eyes bleed and get like 4xWH chest and 4xWH gloves to get proper stats. Which won't happen.
  5. So i guess your team dragged you down? People don't man up to their mistakes and always try to find someone /something else to blame Thank you, come again.
  6. I don't "win all the time", not in real life and certainly not in game. But i also don't expect to be rewarded if i fail. That's why games where invented, as a mode of competition so beyond going for the win what else is there? If you don't have fun winning why do you play? Do you have fun watching the pretty colored sabers and spells? (although i must admit my 5year nephew is REALLY into that!) OT: And if you insist to bring irl into it i really don't remember if i ever was rewarded for failing at something there but i guess that's beyond the point here since it's a game and we should reward subscription. About my kind of mentality... actually we don't have enough of it and that's the source for so many problems. People don't man up to their mistakes and always try to find someone /something else to blame. They also conveniently fail to remember that it's no longer primary school to be hand held and get an award for "participation".
  7. If there is one good thing they did in this patch is this. Failure and losing should never be rewarded.
  8. If i remember right the stalker chest has a nice end/exp/power/surge mod. You just need to farm A LOT to get everything :/
  9. 6k as darkness sin with power relic + exp adrenal but he definitely didn't have any exp As deception 5k crits are regular on any light / medium armor even w/o powerups with proper modding. Max as deception was around 6.5k if i remember right. As madness death field crits are between 3.5-4.5k. Only managed to get the 5k medal like twice but in some very specific conditions (relic+exp adrenal and marauder buff and electrocute from a darkness sin on some 0 exp squishy)
  10. Sorry to burst your bubble but the rakata power adrenal only gives around 470-475 power. The tooltip wasn't changed after the nerf. Second the expertise adrenal is NOT affected by diminishing returns since it gives straight +15% healing / dr / healing and not expertise rating. Third: the expertise adrenal scales with your gear since it gives a percentage bonus to dmg. 475 power will always give the same static dmg bonus. For example using the rakata power adrenal increases my force lightning tooltip dmg from 2964 to 3326. That's 362, a 12.2% dmg increase while with my current gear the expertise adrenal gives me a 13.63% increase (going from 110% to 125% bonus dmg vs players). If the expertise levels remain the same as gear gets better the dmg bonus of the power adrenal relative to your dmg will go down while the expertise adrenal will continue to stay the same (again relative to your dmg, but increasing as actual +dmg). Ofc this is a moot point considering 1.2 is just around the corner and if the big increase in overall expertise goes through the dmg bonus of the expertise adrenal will also plummet.
  11. You mean spawn zerging to defend a base and winning despite being 10 kills to 50? Because that's about the only way a weaker team can win. I've been on both sides of that and it's not funny for neither of the teams. They should do something of a similar nature in voidstar to prevent spawn zerging and suiciding to defend the doors.
  12. Yes you are correct both survivor and stalker sets have the same armorings so the difference in stats is only made by the mods / enhs. The best combination should be the matrix cube (very easy to get) and the "on-use" power relic. The crit+surge one is rather useless since you should be at the surge "soft cap" with decent gear. On the focus vs shield topic i would suggest getting both when you have the chance. Drop a point into dark ward and just switch them around based on the situation. Shields might not be "excellent" but they provide some added mitigation.
  13. If you want the best damage as darkness you want to take the 4p survivor bonus and replace all your mods / enh with dps ones. Preferably end/wp/power mods and end/power/surge enh. Grab a focus, grab a rakata wep and use the power crystal and the mods/enhs mentioned above. If you don't have rakata use the champion one. Replace some of your gear with pve, preferably an orange modded belt, augmented belt/bracers. Gz now you can crit 5k shocks on clothers!
  14. HAHAAHHA Maybe in centurion gear or if you keep the original BM modding. As deception i can drop a 12k-18k burst (depending on class ofc) in 4 gcds. And that's w/o counting assassinate. Actually even w/o cds your maul and shock should crit over 4k on "clothers". Geez both sides of this pointless argument make such end-of-scale statements it's hilarious. To clear it up a bit: a 22k sin is most likely full tanking gear so hes dmg will be laughable. A correctly dps geared / specced darkness sin can do 3k force lightning ticks / 5k+ shock on under-geared opponents. But he's not more tankier than a vengeance jugg for example. A sin can't solo 2-3 people (or the entire enemy team as some say) unless they are utter morons or in lvl 20 greens, and even then it's a stretch. Darkness is no way op, just badly thought out since they put all the utility goodies in the same tree. Ofc people want to play something more than a once per minute burst spec or an aoe pressure spec that is kinda useless in non-premade non-competitive play.
  15. I've got a sin and a shadow and tbh as deception/infiltration i prefer my shadow a lot more. Delayed dmg means my shock dmg + chain shock + discharge all hit at the same time. As a sin i do shock+chain shock, wait 1.5 sec for a full gcd and then do my discharge dmg. Any proper healer / taunt'er has plenty of time to react in that time. As a shadow i can just switch to someone and take him to execute range in under a second. I doesn't mean that project is better, it only means it doesn't have ONLY downsides.
  16. 2.5k is more than doable if you have some extra tanking gear in you bags
  17. What gear are you using? level 40 greens? The only healer who can tank more then 1 dps is a merc/commando and that only when he has ALL he's cooldowns. And you can wait a bit till they fade and blow him up. I get it that healers can be a bit tough for the unorganized pugs where most people don't have the slightest clue what to do and run around like headless chickens just randomly mashing their butons, but we surely wouldn't want to balance around that, do we?
  18. i managed to get those +5k hit +1v1 +2,5k heal. Sadly it was VS so i only got the 1k def points :/
  19. That's hardly "best gear" from what i can see from the looks of it (bm wep :/) and from the numbers he's putting out. I can crit a decently geared light armor class for 5k even w/o adrenal / relic and i saw nothing near that even when he popped hes cds. Burst is hardly a problem for deception, the issues are limited utility (none for some players: taunts not bound, really?) and limited survivability / mobility. Deception it's not necessarily bad it's just to "binary": you either blow something up (and fulfill your purpose) or you can't manage and get blown up.
  20. Really now, let's not get ahead of ourselves. If it's one thing that infiltration/deception doesn't need it's more dmg. The burst is retarded as it is on light/medium armor. And more then fine vs heavy as well with a high internal dmg skill and a 50% armor ignore one. I get 5k+ discharges and 4k+ mauls on full tanks when i pop my cds, how much more do you want?. I'll give you that they need more utility / survivability. Same for balance/madness. PS: operatives are joke vs darkness as they can't put any pressure. Just kite them with wither / force lightning while they can't ever hit you again after the opener. At least as infiltration / deception i can stay on a darkness sin. As an op there is no chance if he has a clue.
  21. Ok 1st of all i'm not a tank. As you can see in the ss i got a bit over 16k hp. I'm using survivor gear with full dps mod/enh. Which is the same as stalker gear since the armoring are identical and only the set bonuses differ. I even got the 5k / hit medal that game, if that's a tank then who are the real dpsers? 2nd he wasn't a pocket healer, he was a healer that healed everyone and especially himself. And he wouldn't have been able to put out that healing without serious protection (170k) from guard and taunt spamming which was, again, provided by me. That's why i was able to get that much effective healing that registered on the scoreboard, because he couldn't top me. I'm playing as a dpser who has guard and is 100% tank specced. You can't really do that as any other class. Juggs staying in soresu have ****** rage generation, while pt's using iron cell cylinder aren't able to put out that kind of dmg. I'm not saying darkness sin's are necessarily op, i just find the current situation kinda stupid. When my best dps spec for wzs is my tanking tree, for reasons going from survivability to utility to sustained dmg, something is really fishy. They should just tweak darkness by increasing threat, reducing dmg, and give a serious utility and/or survivability buff to deception or madness. Move disjunction lower in the tree, increase the armor on insulation or drastically reduce the cost on charge dancing. They could even reduce the burst from deception (which is silly on light / medium armor classes anyway) if they thing further buffs would make that spec OP. Just shift the things around a bit, the current situation is far from "normal".
  22. Ok i'm giving you that, he's not 31/0/10 in hes screen shot. But what about http://i.imgur.com/Y17eK.jpg? Is that close enough to 100k for you? And i've been over 100k as well, sadly i don't have screenshots so that will have to do for now.
  23. They are far away from best weps in game. For sins for example the Bm wep is worse than champ and i guess it's true for other classes as well.
  24. Your looking at it from a wrong perspective imo. Balance thrives in totally opposed situation to focus. It all depends on the composition of the enemy / your team. If your against a low numbers of healers / squishy targets that die fast your damage as balance will be pitiful where a focus guardian will do a great amount of damage since he'll basically have his "rotation" up for every new wave of the gy. On the other side if the team is heavy on healers and your dots have time to tick for full 18 seconds on multiple targets to create pressure while you single target a healer let's say your damage will absolutely go through the roof. I had this exact situation happen a few times since the reps on my server queue as a 6-7 man premade with at least 3 healers at off-peak hours . If they get a fourth pug healer than nothing is really dieing and i end up with retarded amounts of dmg as balance (700-800k). More in Alderaan middle turret stalemates, less in voidstar. In a "normal" mix-matched wz where people have the decency to die in a reasonable amount of time i'm usually at 300-400k. In a total stomp i can barely get 200k because targets die before i even get to use 2 dots so i'm forced to shock to keep the buff up and just spam trash (double-strike for you i think). That's totally reversed for infiltration where if targets die in a focus pool+blackout then you are golden. If the fight drags on your dmg will just plummet since your sustained isn't the greatest and you are better off just trying to pool focus and trying to burst something down than trying to create "pressure".
  25. ***? really now i'm not here to support any side of this debate but how can some people post such random crap? As a darkness sin you get 150% extra armor from dark charge + 20 from eye of the storm. In full 140 gear that's close to 7k armor and provides 39.04% dmg reduction. A marauder has around 25%. Another thing that makes me wonder is the fact that apparently no one bothered to actually remod their gear and are playing with that god awful stock bm mods/enh. Ofc you're gonna hit for 3k shock crits when you have no power and a truck load of useless accuracy and crit rating. Remod your gear properly and you'll start seeing 4-5k on light armor targets and upwards to 6k on undergeared people. I'm not making a point towards sins being OP, but just as much i can't stand seeing "supporters" making such obvious wrong claims. From w/e pov you are looking at it darkness sins are currently one of the best pvp clases.
