  1. I was unsubscribed for 4-5 days and missed the initial HK-55 cut off date due to a hacking attempt on my account over Christmas. I sent an email to Customer Support explaining the problem and received access to the HK-55 companion quest and am assured that my account will be able to access the HK-55 bonus chapter (assuming I carry on subscribing). I think CS are sympathetic towards genuine problems and would be very surprised if being unsubscribed for 1 hour counted against you!
  2. Hmm, your story doesn't fill me with hope OP Over Christmas my Origin account was hacked also so I temporarily cancelled my credit card, by the time I realised my SWTOR sub had lapsed (its been active for years) I had been a f2p player for 4 days during which time I missed the Jan 11th cut off for the HK stuff. I have the ticket number regarding my phone call to EA over Christmas, a ticket number from my phone call to SWTOR customer service (who couldn't help me as its an ingame issue even though I was trying to back date my subscription) and a 4 week old as yet unanswered ingame ticket. I've been around since well before launch and will be severely disappointed if I miss out on content I was looking forwards to
  3. Arsenal Mercenary Level 65 Gear 216 rated Lana (Healing) level 25 Levelling Content Dunno, not levelled in 4.0 KotFE Chapters Difficulty low (as it should be). Heroic 2 Done them all bar Makeb and found the difficulty low to medium. I found them all very easy apart from; - 1 mission on Taris and a couple on Nar Shaddaa that I had to heal myself. - Belsavis was very challenging, I felt my gear and char knowledge was the only thing that prevented me from dying. Star Fortress Solo Medium difficulty. Tougher than pre-companion nerf but good gear and class knowledge certainly help. Star Fortress Heroic Not tried yet. The One and Only achievement Not tried yet. I personally think that the companions are about right now, invest a little time in end game gearing and companion influence and your life should get easier. As stated I haven't attempted the Star Fortress Heroic yet but despite being reasonably geared and having a good knowledge of my class would only consider myself an average gamer - after reading the forums this week I would be concerned that its difficulty would need to be toned back a bit. As for the One and Only achievement I consider these to be rare achievements and not titles that everyone would be able to get, but that's just me!
  4. I agree with the OP, a healthy population makes for a healthy game That said, I don't necessarily agree that the companions have been nerfed too much. I waltzed through all of the dailies and weeklies yesterday with no problems and my lvl 25 Lana coped admirably. Admittedly I haven't tried Star Fortress yet and I read that a lot of people are having difficulty with it now, so maybe its just a case of adjusting the difficulty of that rather than buffing companions again?
  5. Arsenal Mercenary lvl 65 in a mix of 208/216 gear, running with lvl 25 Lana Done all the H2s today on the following planets; Hutta Dromund Kaas Tatooine Taris Ilum Voss and have only had to heal myself on one mission on Taris. I have also done all the following dailies and weeklies/heroics with no issues; Black Hole Czerka Yavin Makeb GSI I will be doing the rest of the H2s over the coming days but don't envisage any problems tbh. Star Fortress might be another issue reading the forums but maybe its more of an issue with its difficulty as opposed to over nerfing companions?
  6. I actually did read the thread thanks, hence the point I made at the end of my post about trying Star Fortress later. Personally I have no problem with level sync or '4 year old content', most of it is stuff I haven't done for a long time (if ever) and rewards me nicely for my time. As for everything else, to me it just sounds like Star Fortress is harder to solo than it was before - maybe that needs tweeking rather than buffing companions again?
  7. Arsenal Merc here, lvl 65 in a mix of 208/216 gear running with lvl 25 Lana. Since the patch yesterday I have had no problems doing any of the following; Black Hole dailies/weekly Czerka dailies/weekly Oricon dailies/weekly Yavin dailies/weekly Makeb dailies/weekly GSI dailies/weekly Hutta heroics Ilum heroics I will be working on the rest of the heroics later and comparing pre/post patch Star Fortress after, but so far I have noticed my health occasionally drop to maybe 75% whereas before it was always at least 95%. If anyone has been swayed by what been written I suggest going out and trying the game for yourself
  8. I feel your pain OP. I PvP occasionally on my main (Arsenal Merc). I'm valor 65+ now and whilst I know the limitations of my spec I enjoy it in bursts. Now, for the uninitiated BH don't last very long in 4 player arenas (and don't fair much better in 8 player warzones ) but this one time I get killed almost instantly both rounds. Two of my three 'team mates' then proceeded to tell me never to PvP again. Ever. And they carried this on with PMs for the next 10 mins even though we'd all left the arena and moved on to other things. PvP in any game, let alone SWTOR can be a harsh experience.
  9. I think companions are overpowered and there is to much XP being thrown around. I went from lvl 60 to lvl 64 yesterday doing 2x Bounty Contracts, Yavin, Oricon, Czerka and The Black Hole and the only time my health dropped below 90/95% was when Mako was briefly CC. I am only in a mix of 186/192 gear and Mako only has an influence rating of 10. When she is fully levelled up and I'm in lvl 65 gear I'm gonna be a god
  10. I have 16 DPS chars (one of each a/c) and 5 healers - couldn't bring myself to level the last one (Commando) as I really didn't like the Trooper story and I'd done it twice already, so that's where my free 60 is going
  11. Thoroughly agree with the OP. Looking forwards to KotFE immensely and the QoL changes bring a lot of cool stuff that will make life a little easier. I also think the trauma surrounding the level syncing will die down after a while, personally I don't want to be an all powerful god when visiting planets below my level and will more likely do so more frequently in the future
  12. As a BH since day one, I desperately wanted the Mandalore centrepiece! Being from the UK I didn't attend the event so grabbed a code off these forums - opened on all 16 chars, no statue Hopefully it will become available to all at a later date.
  13. 16 chars, no statue. My main has been a BH from day 1 too /cry
  14. I've been playing since launch, have 16 lvl 55-60 characters and probably have less than 1m total across all 16! I'm a bit of a collector and generally spend all month raising creds to buy the latest cartel stuff. Every time I start to get ahead of myself and bank a bit they release another pack. Its a vicious never-ending cycle
  15. This. Queuing solo as a DPS Merc is a soul destroying experience. Very, very occasionally you will get grouped with a good tank and healer and do okay for the majority of the rest of the time you drop first and you drop quick. To compound matters, any opposing team that has an ounce of knowledge knows exactly how to shutdown the Merc and take him out of the game before s/hes got more than a coupe of shots off. I don't want to be OP, I just want a fair chance and a bit of fun. Its sad that we seem to be so far behind almost every other class.
  16. Yay, Mercs have finished bottom every season and judging on mine and the vast majority of fellow Merc's performance since 3.0 went live we'll be finishing bottom again. Ah well
  17. Actually yes! The recent 12*XP fest means I now have a lvl 55 character of every advanced class (slowly working them up to 60) I'll probably never play more 2 or 3 of them to any degree - noxxic/dulfy were great for following a build/rotation on lesser used characters (especially chars that you'd come back to after a while only to find that had refunded all your skill points)
  18. I seem to get 3 to 5 Verpine Fiber then that's it. No matter how many times I've sent my companions out on Investigation missions if I have 4 or 5 in my inventory they only ever return with Havod. If I then use the Verpine Fiber and send my companions out again, inevitably they will return with a bit more Verpine Fiber until I have 3-5 in my inventory again.
  19. I've just done it again today, that's 4 successes in a row. The key for me is to make sure that when you die you don't use the medical probe until Revan has killed everyone and they have reset to their starting positions. Revan will then pass the 70% and 30% stage and you can finish him off. I don't know if its a 100% work-around but its been 100% for me. Looks like we're getting a fix next week anyway hopefully that will make it soloable by everyone.
  20. Dunno if it works for everyone but this worked for me and enabled me to solo Revan (copy and paste from a post on the bugs forum) Go in and get him down to 70%. All NPC's will go to pillars. Just Die. After you die you can use medical probe but dont. Wait till he kills off all the NPC at the poles. Once he kills them all he resets back to the center and all the NPC come back as if to start again. But the fight doesnt reset completely. Now use your the medical probe. Heal up and attack again. He will now be able to be DPS him past 70% all the way down to 30% where he will put everyone at the poles and kill you again. Wait till he kills everyone and resets him and the NPC's. Use medical probe again. attack again, this time he wont do that move at either 70% or 30% and you can DPS him all the way down to 0. Takes forever but works.
