  1. ' Sure, but i don't think that number is all that big. We have no way of knowing, of course.
  2. Maybe not save, but stop the hemorrhaging, yes.
  3. Because WoW is still a better game. Half the things Bioware implemented in that time frame should have been in game to start. Custom UI, some sort of Combat log, a LFG tool, guild banks, etc are all things that shouldn't have had to be patched in. I'll tip my hat to them on content on the assumption they didn't already have most of it designed and are not just releasing it at a gated pace.
  4. Hilarious if true. And now some people are now trying to spin it - months ago "This game will never go F2P" and " I'll quit if this game goes F2P" to "F2P isn't so bad"
  5. This post is so cute. Yes, lets be excited that they are releasing a service that should have been done months ago 3 weeks ahead of their extended schedule. Bravo Bioware for only being really far behind the ball instead of so far behind the ball they can't even see it. And if Bioware is exceeding all your expectations, then you have exceedingly low expectations.
  6. 4 servers? literally laughed out loud.
  7. Well they don't count US only when it comes to subs. When they just announced 1.3 million world-wide, it was including everyone. If you want US only numbers, you might not be too far off with 300k. Also, you are mistaken about having 100 people log in around the clock. That's not how it works. You are assuming people who have time left and/or are subbed are still active and log in every day. 7 Different people could log in 1 different day a week only, and while their effect on the server population is only 1, that's still seven subscriptions.
  8. 2500 x 200 is 500,000 (2400 x 200 is 480,000) I mean, we'll see. I just think a ton of people are still subbed and waiting for transfers. No number would really surprise me at this point. But really, this is Star Wars, you could poop in a box, call it "Bantha Poodoo" slap a Star Wars label on it and it would sell.
  9. As far as I know, there are 200+ servers, 120 are the US only ones methinks. Further, most MMOs never have over 10% of their population playing at any given time. 900k is my estimate. I wouldn't be surprised with 750k either.
  10. I think he is probably inferring it from the current amount of active players. At any rate, I seriously doubt its that low as well, but it is probably a shade under a million.
  11. I haven't logged in in around 2 months, I still remember Brutality murdering everyone.
  12. Completely reasonable, I mean you only needed to accurately predict server population trends across 200 plus servers. Not hard or anything.
  13. Oh, I get it. You needed to play server roulette to find a server that had a higher and more stable population then the one you were leaving.
  14. But the forum warriors have been telling everyone to reroll. I'm confused.
  15. Depends on who you ask. IMO, the amount of people who like this game are spread out too far. Server consolidation will fix it for them. However, the people who left left for some very valid (and some not so valid) reasons and are most likely not going to return.
  16. context (n) The parts of a written or spoken statement that precede or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect: You have misinterpreted my remark because you took it out of context. No, I have no idea when the level cap will be raised, nor the nature of any of those pointless questions you asked, because that wasn't what we were discussing. Someone asked why raising the level cap was bad. I gave several reasons. Is it possible that they come out with more new content then is currently in game? Sure. Is it probable? Given the amount of content we've seen in the time frame we've had thus far, it seems doubtful. Why you insist on being combative for no reason is beyond me.
  17. It invalidates the level 50 ops and flashpoints as a source of repeatable content. You wont be chain running any of them because the new level cap, area and gear makes the rewards obsolete. Problem is, there won't be nearly as much new content to run. Ergo, you just created a situation where you effectively cut down the amount of end game content instead of expanding it.
  18. I really think that they completely screwed the pooch on this. Transfers were needed as early as late January/early February. Its now June. Many of those people who left aren't coming back. And yes, we can hear people claim they don't care and won't miss them, but every person that quit and doesn't return means that there will be less money invested in the game for the people who stayed.
  19. Given past content patches and announced new ones, plus the current rate of development it would be a major surprise if the new patch has enough content to compete with whats in game. Is it going to have the same or a comparable amount of level 50 OP's and FP's? Same amount of level 50 daily areas? Probably not. Your trading in 3 or 4 level 50 daily questing areas for what, 1 level 55 area? And how many new FPs for level 55 compared to level 50? They are making their own content obsolete much faster then is probably prudent. To me its just another example of Bioware doing something different just to be different.
  20. Its more or less that generally speaking, raising your level cap so early is bad because it invalidates all of the previous content. Ergo, most developers only do it when they have a ton of fresh new content.
  21. More then likely, if you don't transfer yourself (because your sub has ran out) they will automatically dump your inactive character on a server of their choosing.
