I finally got around to reading and it blew my mind!! You are gifted in building suspense as far as I'm concerned! some scenes had me on the edge of my seat while reading!! Great job!! If I do have to give some criticism, it would be this: The main POV of the story is from the protagonists (Torian, Apoc, Layne), yet there were some scenes where you described something that was impossible for them to see/know. For example: (page 41) "Behind their backs, the dark-haired mans expression changed in an instant, and he grinned knowingly, lifting his helmet and sliding it over his head. He watched as the two Caderas moved around the side of the building, then turned to step back into the hotel, chuckling softly to himself." I'm only pointing it out because it got me confused and I had to reread it before I understood it was about Lok. The protagonists couldn't have seen it, because they had their backs turned, and that is where it differed from the rest of the story and the other stories, where everything is described from the Protagonists POV. :-) I can't remember exactly, but I believe you did the same in some chapters with Kaiden. It gave me the feeling you were describing a movie scene instead of literature. They say you have to enclose criticism with compliments, so to finish off: I love the subplots revolving around Layne and Kaiden :-) I can't wait for the next chapter of this series, knowing the main jiste of what it'll be about (without spoiling it for others) and I can't wait to read the spin-off revolving the two young bounty hunters ;-) It gives the opportunity to explore further lore of a known Mando-clan and the Schism. So yeah: 9,5/10 (nobody's perfect) Would definitely read again :-) Question: Did you base the looks of Kara of a character you have in game? would love a screenshot of her. Yeah, for some reason, Sorc DPS and me isn't working out :-( I've leveled a Sniper to 55 and they are both in the same gear rating (72/78 stock items). With the sorc I can barely hit 2100 DPS while on the Sniper I can reliably reach 2800 DPS in Marksmanship.

I also use a Razer Naga and this is the keybinds I currently use: On the Naga: 1-8: My main rotational skills 9: Escape mechanic (roll, sprint,...) 10-12: Very situational abilities (ie.: Shiv on a sniper) Alt 1-8: Offensive cooldowns... You don't even need that many Shift 1-8: Defensive cooldowns... You don't even need that many. Mouse button 3 (clicking scroll wheel): CC release Mouse Button 4: AoE reticle ability (Force Storm, Orbital Strike) Mouse Button 5: Class utility (Guard, Vanish, Extricate) Alt + MB 4: Throw the hutball On the Keyboard: AWSD: Movement. A and D are used for strafing, not turning. Q: 4s Stun (when applicable, on Sentinel I've put my top tier ability here as it's a spammable attack) E: Mezz R: Root/Slow F: Gap closer or Cover 1-5: Medpacks F1 to F12: Out of Combat shenanigans (Class Buff, Recover, Mount, rocket boots, Quick Travel, Fleet pass,...) It has worked great for me so far. Good luck! Note: Make sure that the Naga numpad is synched with the numpad on the keyboard, NOT with the numbers above AWSD. I am very sorry to hear about your cat! People that don't believe they can actually care about their "masters", have not had cats. Since it's a very long story, it will take a while for me to finish it. Hmm, I use a combination of both I think. I run around with AWSD and use the default TAB command to select an enemy. I use the mouse if I want to select a specific target (healer). When my specific target is in a group of enemies, I tab until I have him. A good mouse is always a boon.

And what if the PvP bonus came from the highest PvP set? (I can't remember the name). I'm leveling a Sniper through PvP solely, but I plan on doing PvE with it. As of yet, I have maxed out the Ranked Warzone Commendations and am close to maxing the regular warzone commendation as well. is the PvP bonus worth it then?

My guildie and I do this a lot :-D We both play MM. The amount of control we have over an opponent is incredible.

I'm not 55 yet (Level 47 atm) but I've been studying the class. Here's the basic rotation that I use. Cover > Shatter Shot > Series of Shots > Followthrough > Snipe > Snipe > Followthrough > Ambush > Explosive Probe > Followthrough > Takedown > Followthrough. Once I get Target Acquired and Sniper Volley, I will have to adapt to add them in at the best time.

It's not only about being nice. I like to think that at the end of such an encounter, I have improved my skills by training to do my job under stress (and perhaps more). Also, if I have taught at least one person in that group how to play this instance or how to perform better, I would get a great sense of satisfaction, in turn adding to my own experience.

I am always the last to leave, unless something else gets in the way. Other than that, I try to analyze the issues and advice the other members on how to proceed. If strategies aren't known, I explain them and break them down for each role. I also try to add more than just my role. I usually do this by default: - As a healer, I weave in my highest hitting damaging attacks on the bosses. - As a tank, I sometimes swap some skill points and armour pieces in favour of more DPS than mitigation. I warn the healer when I do this. - As a DPS, if I have off spec abilties I tend to help out (example: Sorc Bubble on tank if I'm the only Sorc). But, if I notice that the group is starting to get noisy and rude to each other (and more specifically, me) or that they just maintain to **** up and not doing their jobs, I will leave.

The only beef I have is the reputation cap... I have 4 55's but I've capped the weekly limit with doing 2 runs on 2 characters (story + daily) :-( I love the drops. I'm gearing my alts before they are even 55 yet :-).

The ability to add augments for free would help a lot. I have no problems with changing appearances and pulling out mods. But on my server, it's 80K for an augment kit and then 30K to add it to a new piece of gear. Ditch that 30K and I will be augmenting a lot more gear and thus adding more sets to the collection.

My sorc friend shares your feeling, but I feel that I'd otherwise be wasting talent points. Crushing Darkness has a 30% chance to tick twice. Every time this happens, The cooldown on Polarity Shift is automatically lowered by 1 second and I get a 2% bonus boost every time it happens... I know Chain Lightning does this as well, but for 6 seconds (4 Lightning Strikes) it can get added while I'm doing other things. Clarification on this by more experienced Sorcs would be very helpful indeed.

Thanks for the useful information. I have been using that thread to improve my sentinel gameplay. It has very useful information! At the moment I've been using this rotation: Opener 1. Crushing Darkness 2. Affliction 3. Thundering Blast From there on I use the following priority list. It doesn't have Lightning Strike in it for the following reason: I intend to use lightning strike every 3 seconds, give or take (ie.: either 2 instants or an instant and a cast). This maintains Subversion. So here's the priority list 1. Affliction 2. Chain Lightning (procced) 3. Force Lightning (procced) 4. Thundering Blast 5. Crushing Darkness 6. Shock Is this correct? Or should I place Thundering Blast second in the list? I can't really put reliable numbers on the board yet because I'm still in the process of learning the procs and reacting accordingly.

Hi I just started using Parsec to tell me how much DPS I'm doing while in combat. But I have a silly question though: What DPS are usually expected to get per gear rating? For example: I play Sorc DPS (full lightning). I am in a mixture of 66 and 69 augmented without set bonuses. When I am attacking a boss, I usually reach between 1300 and 1600 DPS (depends on how much I have to move). My Main Hand and Off hand are still 66 because I had bad luck rolling for 69 items. I'm gathering up comms to get the 69 Off hand. The rotation I use is the one from Noxxic. If you could provide me with numbers to aim for and possible tips on how to get it, I would be most grateful. BONUS QUESTION: I've noticed on Styrak that I had a lot of attacks being resisted. My force accuracy is 104%. Does it have anything to do with that? Thanks in advance
