  1. With how little support this game gets now, it's doubtful they have anyone on call.
  2. Agree with all, and yes, Energized Blade was taken out and the primary reason AP became bad. Do they realize that it has been out of the game? I couldn't tell you, but it is written as if it does exist.
  3. Reintroducing a good tactical for AP is a good call, and exactly what it needed. The Lightning changes will help a little, but it's questionable if that's enough to make it competitive. The changes to Marksman, Arsenal, and Deception, three other specs in dire need of upgraded dps to be as viable as other specs, are laughable. Hopefully there is more to come for those.
  4. There's no sense in getting upset. Everyone should already know that they have no plans to fix the economy anymore than governments do in real life. To really do so they'd have to have a plan that brings the poorest more in line with the richest, but that would aggravate the richest (CM whales), their largest source of revenue. It's just smoke and mirrors. Why it's a downright bad idea instead of just useless one, I couldn't say (maybe a bad effort looks more convincing than no effort? Or just an opportunity to try and turn more people to the CM by taking their credits, and just saying it is the opposite of what it is), but there will never be a legitimate plan to make things more affordable. That would affect the bottom line.
  5. I disagree. The Knight fighting Vitiate doesn't mean they're the only one who makes sense in the story. Now non-force users, especially the BH and Smuggler, don't make any sense at all. But the Consular defeated his children, the Warrior was his Wrath who was betrayed, and even the Inquisitor is a prodigious Sith with the ability to enslave the power of others (potentially a fledgling Tenebrae if you play them DS), and a member of the Dark Council. They all make sense being there, because he doesn't say to any of them "you defeated me that one time," and everyone encounters him in SoR and on Ziost. The Trooper and Agent make sense being there, but would be annihilated if not possessed immediately, and it doesn't make sense that he would want to possess them in the first place. The BH and Smuggler, you really have to reach for a reason as to why they'd even be there.
  6. Same here, pretty much exactly. Since the new Emperor can be multiple people already, he could easily come in and take the spot, or try to take the spot and become an ops boss or story boss, etc. like you said. He could easily be tied into Malgus' vague machinations as well. I just feel like he was a great character and deserves closure
  7. He's mentioned in just about every expansion as still "out there." He was a major part of the Agent storyline. He was described as 2nd in power to Vitiate, the most powerful Sith by Valkorian, and the only other Sith whom the Dreadmasters respected. He fights off 3 Dark Council members in the light side decision (admittedly not necessarily impressive given how weak playing a smuggler or trooper makes them seem), but also somehow managed to hold together an exploding capital ship and relocate it to another system before Imperial Intelligence could even notice. Malgus fanservice has had a great run (and it doesn't necessarily have to end for this to happen), but bring the man back and give him a proper conclusion, please.

  9. They don't live at the office. Hopefully they'll be on it and have it have it up and running soon.
  10. https://parsely.io/parser/stats Since it is almost certain that the new dev team does not test, let alone play, SWTOR themselves, you must do something similar to the manatee episode of South Park, just creating random goals for themselves, the above link should be helpful in displaying why the 3 major nerfs they worked hard enough on to successfully implement, while the one thing people actually wanted, Galactic Seasons 3, was not. So, I have provided your with a widely-used resource from generally skilled players of the game, who have actually spent time testing different character builds and rotations, and have uploaded them. The builds have been replicated by others to great success. That is what data from people who have actually played and tested a game looks like. Lightning, Advanced Prototype, Deception, and their Republic equivalents were not only nowhere near the top in meaningful DPS, but they were all in the bottom 3rd already. The fact that those nerfs were even part of the "plan" for this update" is reason enough to suspect the manatee stratagem, but add in the fact that nothing the vast majority of the playerbase wanted was successfully impleneted confirms it. But seriously, please use outside resources like that if you can't be bothered to play the game or test anything, yourselves. Having played off and on (times like now generally being the "off" times, because some dev teams have been better than others). You fixed some minor glitches or bugs in small things that almost nobody noticed, or had forgotten about because they do not affect every day gameplay. Congratulations. Some of that stuff must be so deeply embedded in the old code, that it probably took quite some time. So if you can do that, why can't you take the time to properly compare healers, tanks, and DPSes to one another and balance them accordingly? Not all at once, of course, but just steps that make sense one at a time, rather than giving major nerfs to classes that are already suffering, while giving minor buffs to those who are at the top already. The fact that this is done intentionally boggles the mind. I mean I get why you won't fix the in-game economy: the value of anything anywhere near end-game quality is 10 times what it was just several months ago, even though rewards from quests and such have not increased at all, and were already far too little to keep up. That means either spend a ton of time crafting, OR spend real money on the Cartel Market and then directly convert that into credits via the GTN (if you can even sell it on that for its value; the economy is so out of control that anything expensive in the CM must also be sold manually). In addition to a subscription of course. EA does know how to make money, if nothing else, and utilizing a famous IP in addition to a formerly respected studio, to combine subscription and free to play as almost necessary to advance in the endgame...well to be honest I don't think it's that smart, because most people are disappointed with the way the Star Wars franchise has gone in general, so if you actually maintained a good game, the immensely larger playerbase would more than make up the difference. But then EA would revert to its natural state and want to squeeze as much money as they can out of those people too....which is why that will never happen because we're already here, and yadda yadda, I digress. Anyway, with all of the venting (but reasonable and ethical) out of the way, how about start putting the happiness of the playerbase first, by making sure that the universally good parts of your updates (in this case GS3, in the future, new content, major content fixes, etc.) are ready to go first, whereas polarizing (or just straight-up nonsensical) changes are placed lower. Fun > Disappointment in games. Also, if you have a a large plan to balance all classes to be of a very similar effectiveness, don't start by making the low ones even lower, and to be frank, that may be giving you undue credit, because you could be doing it for no reason other than catering to a miniscule percentage of players: hardcore PvPers. And I enjoy PvP and actually GSF myself, but facts are important. People in this game are mostly into PvE content, and even roleplay, over PvP. Also, NiM PvE content is much more challenging than PvP, and *much more* importantly, shoudl be equally viable for all classes in all specs. The priority system should be entirely ranked by what will please the most, *down* (not up) to what will please least; the exception, of course, being the limits placed on the team by your EA executive who couldn't care less about the quality of the product over minimal investment. You all seem very new to major MMO development, so I'm sure your salaries are significantly more than your olds. and we all gotta have fun in RL, too. But hopefully that doesn't mean you don't care about the FL you're working on. I apologize for any grammatical errors in this essay, but I'm too tired and hungry now to go back and fix them. Do better, please. Please?
  11. So among a bunch of minor changes, there was supposed to be Galactic Seasons 3, and the nerfing of 2 classes (Lightning/TK and AP/AS) that were already pretty low in the dps pecking order. You accomplished only the negative things, and couldn't have the one exciting thing ready to go. But you made sure those nerfs were flawlessly ready to go. Great job. How about next time, and all of the times after, put primary focus on the things that will make people happy, make sure that's ready, and *then* work on nerfing classes that don't need to be, and things like that. Also, the insanely inflated economy is the biggest problem in the game right now, bar none. There's no good reason for that not to be a main focus for the next update, along with content, and fixing content. Nerfs should be extremely low on the totem pole, especially the kind that aren't even done to top performers.
  12. Turns out, it's that you only have weekly quests for certain ops per week? What? Again, why limit the incentive to do operations instead of just reducing the rewards per? Or combine both and have certain ops have higher weekly rewards than others, if there's some weird reason you want certain ops done over others from week to week. Creativity.
  13. So, yes, EV and KP are easier ops than the others. The ones in between are also easier than Gods and so on. So why would you completely take out the weeklies for them? Make them less rewarding? Fine. Take them away completely and act like the content doesn't exist? Who decided that scrapping them was a better idea than any sort of balancing? 7.1 pumped a little life into the game, but the decision-making in general could still use a tune-up. I just don't understand how you go "Remove the reason to do them for anyone who has done them once already" instead of "Well they're easier so let's lessen the rewards. It's still fun content." Come on guys.
  14. I'm more interested in seeing Jadus again, since they haven't stopped mentioning that "he's still out there," and reinserting him now with Malgus seeking secrets would make sense. I found him very interesting from playing IA multiple ways. Not to mention he held together a blown up capital ship, somehow moved it far from where it was, fought off 3 DC members to escape if you went that way, was called 2nd only to the Emperor in power by intelligence, and called by Valkorian the greatest Sith to come out of the Empire. So I'd like to see his story tied up. But you couldn't tell I'm a fan from my avatar.
  15. He was annoying and stupid, but I found his over the top dramatic voice acting funny. Especially during that trial.
