  1. ..but he's wondering if his moneys worth spending. People can let him know what the end-game content is like(if OP hasn't gotten their yet) which can be big deciding factor to whether or not to subscribe. As well as knowing about what needs to be fixed and when it will be.
  2. there's an article on pc.ign.com about patch 1.1 and it says it'll be out Jan 17th.
  3. Aren't we also comparing swtor with low-res textures(before they fix them for hi-res) to WoW's hi-res textures?
  4. no you don't. Remember "average" for every part of the game, pvp/open world/flash points...ect
  5. According the the new IGN article talking about patch 1.1, it will be coming out on Jan. 17th. So lvl 50 brackets in five days.
  6. I'm not an expert in this field, but can someone correct me if I'm wrong. Does it cost Bioware/EA more money to be running servers that gamers are processing other characters with hi-resolution textures? Would it take more information to send/receive since the textures files are larger? If this is true, then I can see why they want to optimize it.
  7. They already said they are working on a fix, why do you need an explanation? Maybe it's embarrassing to say what it was? Either way the only thing that matters is they're working on a fix.
  8. Why? You really think Bioware is not going to fix the hi-rez textures? Otherwise why worry that they might make medium the new high. It's not going to happen because they already said they are working on a fix for this.
  9. Bioware already acknowledged they are working on a fix for this as well as the green lazer-light show glitch going on. They posted on another thread about 5 or so days ago. It's not going to make much of a difference to keep asking for a response. They'll get it done when they get it done. I can understand being mad paying for a game that doesn't even have high-res textures working, but we can only be patient.
  10. Not only is there new content, but also a good size list of bug fixes. Nice going Bioware
  11. I agree they should. My point is he says it's a "missed opportunity". He didn't say it was a missed opportunity for launch, but in general. This is not the case.
  12. In the gamespot review, one of the three negatives was "Shallow space combat is a missed opportunity.". That opportunity isn't missed and is rather being brought to reality.
  13. Oh I'm sure they'll always be around. My thoughts are the reason they whine is because they're not going to stop playing the game. Otherwise why would you whine about a game you're done playing?
  14. Right? What makes it even greater is the MMO additions to it. Well done bioware.
  15. These comparisons are made to show that TOR isn't the first to fail in these areas. It's just the nature of MMO's. They obviously rushed the game to get it out right before Christmas. So the question is are you happy you got to play the game earlier, or would you have rather waited and had a more polished game. I believe the majority would have rather played the game earlier.
  16. I'm not being sarcastic. What's wrong with my point? Elaborate. What do you mean by "soon enough". That makes no sense. Soon enough for what? Anyone can say this game will go F2P if it take 5+ years, they'll eventually be right. But when is "soon enough"? lol.
  17. I've always thought 15 a month was too much and was only followed because of WoW setting the bar. My point is that this game won't go F2P if they plan on having a huge team pumping out new, quality content.
  18. This game going F2P all depends on the quality and how fast they put out new content. This game will obviously not go F2P if they plan on pumping out new content at a good rate. In an interview, a bioware representative said they have a huge team working on this and going to be pumping out a lot of new content. No way would a F2P game be like this.
  19. I like to only save up for the purple roll box that cost 24. Most other gear isn't an upgrade after I'm done saving up, except some of the mods.
  20. I really hope Bioware plans on expanding warzones with these kind of ideas. It would add a lot of replay value to the game. Vehicles in pvp would be great as well.
  21. I'm excited to see what new war-zones Bioware will come up with in the future. The first three are good, especially hut-ball, but I'd like to see it go even further. One idea I had would be to add a small element from tower-defense games. I thought this up pretty quick so it can be adjusted in many ways. The basics would be to have two bases and maybe have it where you have to capture something like data files from opposing team to bring back to your base. These files must be decrypted so enemies can kill a player while trying to do that. Each base would have a certain amount of turrets that must be activated to allow them to fire at enemies. Possible have different types of turrets having some a longer spawn time being the better turret. Also maybe have the turrets be different in which one woul d be single target and another area of effect attack. Opposing teams can take out the turrets from a distance or up close depending on their class and each turret could have a life span of maybe three repairs before they are completely destroyed. Maybe have a timer where if someone doesn't repair a turret in time it will blow-up. These turrets would be spread out to where some are closer to opposing base would be harder to defend. Also have a bridge or two in the middle to get over to the other base in which people can got knocked off of. This is just a simple idea that can turn into a lot of fun. I could see myself playing something like this for a while. Any other ideas?
  22. I don't post on here often and I come here hoping to find posts worth reading. I just wanted to say that I can't believe how much people wrap their mind around a video-game. A video-game! If you don't like it leave. Some posts are worthy of Bioware's attention, but then there's many posts of people who post long opening messages in threads that are just worthless. Go out and enjoy it or leave. Life has more important worry's then a video-game..
  23. The voice overs are not bland, the characters are not stiff and the hand motions are not awkward. Anyone whos artsy would see that. Bioware didn't "mess up". They made the game they wanted to make. A lot of people love it, then there's the minority who don't on these forums.
  24. Bioware is not cheap enough of a company to give you bland text to read. This is what they produce, quality. If you don't like this type of MMO, then who cares? It's just a video game. I can't believe people get so worked up over a video game!
  25. Ive yet to experience any bugs. I'm sorry to anyone who has. Are these "very bad bugs" making the game unplayable?
