It could easily be played out for a swtor storyline for Smuggler vs Operative. Anyone seen the movie? Do you get star wars vibes from it?

Hmmm, I don't know, game mechanics and plot require us to fight big beasts and sith lords with our fists which to me in all truth only against big beats it seems ridiculous. But punching jedi and sith in the face, that could happen. My scoundrel is a cyborg so i'd imagine him to be enhanced. Keeping their saber busy with your blaster while you go in for a hook... I can see that happening tbh. Inbetween, throwing flash bombs, and thermals, using shield generators and being accurate with a blaster is enough to overwhelm any regular sith lord or Jedi knight. HK-47 does make a good case on how to kill jedi in Kotor with overwhelming them. Just remember, Jedi and Sith are over confident within their abilities which gives us the upper hand in terms of allowing them to underestimate us for the surprise attack. They use the force to speed up their reflexes, we use stims. Don't believe the jedi and sith hype Cowboy.

I think scoundrel is fine, you have to remember we have little gadgets to do dirty tricks to get the upper hand and a shotgun. Think of Cad Bane, he took on two Jedi. Pistols are meant to be used at close-ish range as they're the most impactful that way too. If you do some research I think it's very easy to change you're view on scoundrels and their guns being competitive.

Yes, smuggler (scoundrel) is basically the perfect fit, that single pistol and using his fists that is basically mal, I remember him fighting hand to hand with that operative in the film serenity. I'm amazed how well it fits tbf, I've just brought the "deep cover operative set" too and put a "Honorable General dye" on it. It's perfect fit.

As the title says. Interested in role-playing through a story close to his character, I have a feel smuggler is the perfect fit, but is he closer to a gunslinger or a scoundrel?

First off I'm fairly new, well re-joined after many years. So sorry if these things have been implemented and I'm talking non sense. Going through places like Nar Shaadaa, makes me think about, what if SWTOR had more open world. Like flying your own flying transport through the streets and seeing some random mugging in the back alleys, or wandering on a random cave on Hoth and Tatooine. Exploration would give a more in depth RP element to this game. I feel like this is the only thing missing from this game to make it perhaps the best MMO out there, as the story and gameplay are some of the best I've played personally.

I enjoy the battlemage feel in rpgs, however jedi use force, I know "BIG SUPRISE", but because of this, they all feel kind of like battlemages. It's probably not practical but could I get some insight on the Sentinel and Shadow. I narrowed it down to these two that I will end up playing. I only want to 1 class that's why I ain't decided to do both of them. In other MMOs I have an Enhacement shaman (WoW) Stamina Sorcerer (Eso) Sword Weaver (GW2). Thank you in advance for any help!

I read up that they variations of european names which are altered to have A's and E's as the dominate vowel in them. Don't know how true this is but looking for some suggestions or direction. Names I thought up of myself are like "Keegane" or "Tagian" these along the correct lines for a Miraluka race?

Hey, I am new to the game really trying to find my footing. These two classes really stick out to me but want to choose one to play story + xpac stories first, ultimately it will be my main. I use to play WoW and used to play a brewmaster monk and enhancement shaman for ideas of the kind of play styles i like. I enjoy the serne and peaceful feelings in a class kind of like battlemage. I most likley will go into a tank role also thats why these classes stick out to me.

Do you think being a morally grey Jedi is more interesting than a Sith one or the other way round? I think i'm leaning towards Jedi guardians over Sith Juggernauts because of animations and armour. Sith also look too brutish too me. But i like to see people's thoughts on the situation on what they think is more appealing to them? If they had to role play a morally grey person.

Yeah the other reason i might be tempted to make a trooper is because they look really brutal, but they get the job done . Also alot of people will be rolling jedi or sith their wont be many BH, agents, smugglers or troopers about, so it would be nice to add more variety into my server.

I honestly rekon the range classes will be quite good the trooper for me was so tempting, but light sabers and force powers was the main reason i got into star wars also, maybe becasue jedi's are alot like samurai and i am also obessed with that aha

I started to tank in World of warcraft before i quit as was good at it, so i might conitune to tank on star wars, but roleplaying for me oh my gosh!! This will me as i have a large fantasy for star wars . Probably will rarley PVP as it gets me worked up Aha! WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP REMEMBER WHY YOU HELD ON FOR SO LONG IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Did not get in today, but i don't mind something to look forward too!! I'm so going to play this game to it's maxium, no rushing to level like i did in other MMORPG's just enjoy the storyline and build my Jedi Guardian <--- oh yes thats right this is the class for me good and wise (Please post character classes which your going to make and why , plus feedback off people who have entered the game please!!!)
