  1. JEEZUZ CHRIST. Usually after 6-7 times I will go... not now. For 2 hours now I can't get the client to get to char select. Once I click play it shortly hangs thereafter. NEVER, in the history of this game before my attempts at coming back to this game in the last 2 weeks have I had any problems with this client what-so-ever. I give up. Honestly I didn't set the bar high coming back into this knowing it's been sunset. I've found other stuff to get into while waiting for support tickets and various forums posts. RIP swtor.
  2. Not once, since the first minute this game come out have I ever had problems starting the client and getting to char select. Now it just grinds and grinds and grinds once I login in and click launch. Little blue gear-looking icon spins, then eventually stops, appearing hung.... never gets passed this. Have to kill the process. Try again. I go thru this dance several times now when I wanna play. Am I wasting my time trying to come back to this game at this point? Has this game been put out to the pasture? Do people actively *play* this as opposed to just logging in to play with their toys in fleet and spew dumb stuff in chat.
  3. This only way I can get this to play on macos is via crossover office and steam.... but it fails the security code checking citing the "original" account or something like that. I've never played the steam version. My account is from the day swtor was released and not gonna start another one. Or has anyone gotten the stand-alone client (non-steam) to work with crossover?
  4. Everytime I launch the game client it spends 5 minutes "verifying".
  5. And yet you trolled in and left a comment... making you look like the larger dunce.
  6. Been gone for at least a year I think.. (since whenever it was they jacked up the companions to where you couldn't gear them out anymore) So I came back to try out the GC stuff and so far it's just sending me to the same stuff I grinded until I could stomach it anymore the last time I was here. Is the only new content the new chapers? (sorry, I don't care much for story dialog, I wanna group up with people, kill stuff, take down bosses, and improve my gear)... I have single player games for when I want story content. I'm here for the MMO... not the single-player components of this game.
  7. Yea been trying that.. All I end up doing is spending my time managing my inventory, pulling crap out of my mailbox, re-posting it cheaper, etc.. rinse and repeat. Quickly realized that wasn't a viable option. With an economy this out of whack, they really need a token system like wow or rift. It's not like the economy can get any worse.
  8. Nah, tried going back to ESO. Grouping in that game is the most unpleasant experience ever.. even worst than warcraft. Plus that clunky interface and other clunky mechanics.. I just couldn't stick with it. I loved all the single player titles the elder scrolls series...
  9. Already looked into doing that. I crunched the math on how much I could get per hour, and looked at how much time I have to play, it will take me weeks to buy even single items given the economy and current AH prices. Prolly just cut my losses. Struggling to find an MMO to get back into. Finally just gave up on warcraft for good. Rift is dead. Lotro is dead. Neverwinter is a pathetic cash grab. I can't stand NCSoft titles. Nothing else worth playing. Sigh.
  10. I've been back 2 weeks and about to leave already. And I haven't even gotten to the point of doing the new command stuff. I'm broke and can't make any effing money in this game. Tried buying several lock boxes, none of the stuff sells. After crunching the numbers and looking at AH prices, nothing I can craft will be profitable... and I have nearly every profession. How do you make money in this game now? Seriously, 1 mil for an effing light saber hilt or mod/enhancement? Sigh. I think I'm done with MMO's. I just don't enjoy any of them anymore and nothing promising coming out any time soon... if ever again.
  11. Nothing seems to sell. Bought a few packs, tried selling the items. Nada. Nothing I can craft seems to be profitable. Is there anything in the cartel market that sells? The prices in the AH are ridiculous. 1.5 mil for a friggin lightsaber hilt? How do people afford this stuff? Is this a situation where it's impossible to come back to a game because I'm so far behind economically?
  12. As long as there are kids with mommy's credit card this game won't shut down. You'll continue to get watered-down, mediocre content like this expac done by as small of a dev team as possible, but game won't shut down. Same thing is happening to warcraft.
  13. I realize now, after being lured back to this medicore expac that Bioware is incapable of running a big boy MMO with viable, immersive, long-retention end-game. Sure they may make X amount of money off the store from kids with mommy's credit card but this game becomes an abhorrent bore at max level... just like it has every single tier of content since release. As a sub, there should be gear worth of grinding for or grinding rep for.. once again there isn't. Just half-***, medicore stuff. You want anything cool or decent, pull out your credit card. Couple this with the fact that these younger kids entering the gaming scene lately are so ridiculously self-entitled, obnoxious and unpleasant to be around I doubt I'll bother with an MMO going forward. /yawn BUH BYE.
  14. FEBRUARY? SERIOUSLY? /sigh. This expac has been a complete let down across the boards. Bioware still can't seem to grasp end game. Adios. This is where I come out for good.
  15. I love this game...... UNTIL I hit max level, then it becomes an excruciating bore. I've played this game on and off since release and everytime I come back, hit max level, enter the daily grind of long, rarely successful queues and boring end-game design. Let's break it down: 1) Queue times - your item level design and the fact you can get full 190 in a matter of hours by completing Revan questline has killed anyone's need to run FP's. Hence why the queue is 1 hour plus and rarely do you get a group that can complete the instance. Ops queues have NEVER, ever, popped for me a single time EVER in this game. I have spent as long as 3.5 hours at a time in the queue. You need to put a lot more thought into the end-game design and provide incentives for people to want to run them. You also need the ability to exclude at least one FP from the random list w/o sacrificing the random/daily reward. Everyone HATES at least one FP, ala Blood Hunt for example, and hence simply just don't queue at all. 2) Rep Grinds - the rewards are complete junk. I just came back and level 2 more toons to 60, even fresh 60's - there is no appealing gear from any of the rep grinds. Even the mounts available from rep venders are a joke. Outside of the walker, none of them are worth doing. And if you're not into instanced-based player housing, like I'm not, there is no reason at all to do rep grinds. Absolutely no reason at all. You really couldn't spend just a little R&D and have better rewards? 3) Need a way to accumulate ultimate/elite marks outside of relying on grouping in this game. Make it a painful grind, kill 1000 of this or something but you need to have some way for people to progress in end-game outside of the abhorrent random queue problems in this game. I log in, IMMEDIATELY queue, try and find something that will keep me interested long enough for a queue to pop.... and typically I'm bored to death and logging out before that happens. Just my tips and the core reason why I'm leaving this game yet again. (along with my brother and nephews - so 4 subs gone) Honestly, I would rather be playing no game at all rather than the frustrations of trying to participate in end game in SWTOR. Sad thing is I love this game. I pay for 4 subs. I spend another $50 on average on CC on top of that each month. I've never wanted to like a game, and stick with it, as much as SWTOR but end-game simply needs considerably better design. I can't stand logging on and sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for queues to pop. I don't care for PVP, but even if I did, not a solution since you can't queue/play PVP while in a queue for Ops/FP's so not a viable time sink anyways. I'll try this game again, maybe, in the future and see if game has gotten better end-game but I just can't see paying for this right now when I'm not being able to participate in the type of content *I like*. (FP's, Ops)... Hell I can't even find a guild that is recruiting and takes conquests seriously.
  16. Yea my thoughts as well.... but the good guilds with stable ops groups aren't recruiting... at least not dps.... and I'm not cut out to be a tank or healer.
  17. I don't PVP, forgot to mention that. Been trying forever and a day for world bosses... Constantly... just about everytime I enter Ziost I start asking for people to kill the monoliths.... Haven't killed them a single time yet. Haven't even completed a single ops weekly ever in this game. I even put my laptop on my coffee table while watching TV while parked in various zones monitoring for groups so I could join, with the intention of running back and loging in from my gaming pc. Believe me... frustrating. I love this game but every time I come back I reach end-game daily grind and quickly lose interest. This time around I even leveled up 2 more toons to 60.
  18. That's the problem. I've now filtered thru a 5th guild that advertised they were "social and active" but turned out to be anything but. 3 people on a peak. Only 1 who actively responds to guild chat. Pretty much sums up the average guild I've tried since coming back. That's my biggest frustration... game needs more guild incentives and things that proper guild retention and participation. (ie: Conquests which I'd love to find a guild active with conquests)
  19. I was considering harbinger. Definitely not the case on Ebon Hawk. I sat in ops queue 3.5 hrs before having to log out last weekend. Also have some co-workers on that server, might give it a shot. Have the cartel coins to burn, they'll just go to waste anyways if I leave the game. Thx.
  20. What all should I be doing while sitting incessantly in multi-hour queues trying to run FP's or Ops? I already have 190 gear from Ziost (took all of 3 hrs) and full 192 augments. (big reason why no one runs FP's I'm being told) I've been struggling to find ops groups or a guild that runs ops groups. None of the rep grinds seem worth it because a) don't yield any usable gear b) none of the mounts from rep grind were interesting to me and c) I don't care much for player housing so none of those items appeal to me. What other things should I or can I be doing while waiting for the day when an Ops queue might pop? Also are there any better servers for end-game besides Ebon Hawke? Considering a server transfers in hopes of finding an active guild that runs ops before giving up on this game again. Thx for any help.
  21. Is the stuff on Ilum 12x exp? Makeb is not unfortuantely. Thx
