Alrighty so in reality I can do whatever I want and it won't affect anything stat wise in end game?

Ok so basically which ever side I go, good or evil, I got to do it ALL THE WAY. Alrighty, so do these relics actually have some effect or is this stuff that I will just get and replace immediatly?

Alright simple question with a hard answer. What does alignment actually effect? (purely with end game in mind) Aka, if I am Jedi but have lots of dark will that hurt me later, same with being neutral, or is it that only by being fully light will I get the most out of it? Once more looking at this purely in a end game stats type of mind set!

I have seen everywhere that the legacy starts when you have a character that finishes Chapter 1. What does that mean? So far I have only gotten to the second planet so I don't know if it is a hugely obvious thing later on, but I'm just trying to figure out about when it will start. I realize this is a question that could warrant very varied and confused answers, I simply want broad spectrum, like which planet number, about what level, ect Thanks guys
