  1. 10/10 for me. When I find a fresh 50 on my scoundrel I almost feel bad for him. It was the same on my sage also.
  2. Getting gear and titles by winning mini games is far from meaningful pvp. But yes there are way too many whiners on these forums. That I agree with.
  3. Nice generalization. I don't cry for gear advantages.
  4. "Hardcores" don't afk in warzones because they will get no reward. That was my point.
  5. I believe this thread was about "hardcores" who wanted gear progression. You know, the people who are competitive and like to play a game to compete. The people who think of pvp strategies when they aren't playing. You don't sound even close to competitive.
  6. Healers are doing perfectly fine with the trauma debuff. Healing in this game is a team effort. Tanks need to be tanking and the dps need to be smart with their cc.
  7. It has always been a waste. At least we know the devs KNOW it's crap!
  8. You guys sound like the only ones who wanted this change were "casuals" who didn't want to put in the time to get geared. There are plenty of people who are battlemaster with their gear who welcome this change (myself included).
  9. No offense, but I think you guys need to perfect your rotation and cc a little bit more. A single bounty hunter that is allowed to spam is a huge threat! Unless he was cheating. I've never seen it before though.
  10. The solution to this is simple and is an old concept in mmos. I don't ever see it happening in Swtor. You don't have pvp gear and you don't separate pve and pvp zones. Watch what happens when you have all factions wanting the same loot from the dungeons or the same harvesting nodes. Real, competitive, meaningful, and exciting pvp is created! You and your guild will have earned every bit of your gear. Trying to recreate this feeling with warzone grinding and "pvp gear" will only lead to a boring gear grind. It would be very hard to make this method exciting. The second I read that Swtor had pvp gear and warzones I knew what I was getting into. What type of game did you think you were getting? I'm curious as to why so many people are complaining about these gear changes when it was predictable from the start.
  11. The reason people are getting bored isn't because their gear grind feels pointless. It's because the pvp is extremely shallow. We have 3 warzone that we have played way too much and Ilum is garbage. My characters in pvp really aren't that interesting compared to other games either.
  12. One healer with no tank is dead. Get a tank and watch. Even better if your warzone has 2 healers in it with a tank or two. Watch the wins come rolling in.
  13. Yes I will continue to pvp after 1.2 I don't know about you guys, but in my book, hardcore means you like the competition and challenge. The fact that slower grinders, or lowbies can gear up faster is great news to real hard core pvpers. We like fair fights and fights favoring the other side more than stomping undergeared players.
  14. I'm already a battlemaster with about 12% expertise and this is a good update.
  15. You are acting like a child. If I were your friend in real life I would tell you to cut that **** out. "oh I'm just going to afk with a party of 4 to get my way"
  16. You sound like an angry spoiled kid. Is this how you act in all situations when you don't get your way?
  17. This just doesn't make sense to me and it's bad for the game in the long run. Look at how Rift was at launch. The players who spent the most time in warzones and the ones who ranked up first got exactly what you want now. They got all the best gear and could outperform everyone else. What happened was a huge gap was created where the one side who grinded more, seriously didn't even need to try to kill the other team. Do you know what happened? People quit. It isn't fun getting farmed by people who spent more time than you. It also creates a hole where the longer the game goes on, the more valor or ranks are required for gear. So if a new player were to join say a year or two later and saw how many warzones he had to get farmed through in order to "get good", then he would get discouraged and quit.
  18. And that's why I said in that other thread that grinding warzones for gear is fail. It encourages your behavior of afking in warzones to get gear.
  19. Yeah you could always do that in swtor... Why are you now making such a big deal out of it when the system has been the same this whole time?
  20. There are many right ways to do character advancement. Grinding warzones for gear is not one of them.
  21. Go ahead and reroll a sorc. They are boring. There I warned you.
  22. This game has been out for a couple of months and people already have this elitist veteran attitude when it comes to their pvp gear. Yes people can be a battlemaster easier now. Who cares? I miss the older days when "pvp gear" was dungeon gear that you had to fight other factions or guilds for. Grinding warzones for gear is booooring. I think the DoT change wasn't needed, but it's not a big deal. There are far bigger problems Swtor needs to fix. Like the simplicity of pvp combat and the failed Ilum zone. At least you know BW KNOWS that Ilum sucks. They aren't trying to hide it.
  23. I'm sorry, but being 49 in a lowbie warzone is not competitive. I geared my 49 scoundrel out with purple level 49 mods in all his slots. Ouch. It was a blast hitting that last level from warzones though lol.
  24. sorcs really aren't that op. It's one of the strangest nerf calls I've heard in an mmo. In a 1v1, unless they are specced in their balance tree, they will lose to shadows, sentinels, guardians, scoundrels, and vanguards. In a group fight, yeah they have a lot of cc, but a bunch of bounty hunters are more dangerous than sorcs. Their healing is good, but bounty hunter healers are better healers in pvp due to their much higher survivability. They really only shine in huttball. Imo take away the stun after breaking their bubble and don't let the lightning channel instant proc work with aoes. problem solved. Then people will go 31 deep in a tree which, in my opinion, is perfectly balanced.
  25. One sage and one trooper healer is the best mix
