  1. I guess it comes down to a miscommunication between BW/EA and players. They want us to sub, which is understandable it makes them money. With the release of the lottery boxes I can see that it's more about the money. This is also fine, since they do have to recoup their investment in making this fine game. I have no problem with spending a little money here and there, but this whole "bait and switch" approach is kinda frustrating.
  2. I think that if they are going to offer and advertise a game as F2P, then they should stick to their guns. They didn't say, hey come try the new improved Trial version of SWTOR, they said F2P. I understand there has to be a difference between their subs and F2P accounts, but the option to unlock certain aspects of F2P shouldn't hurt anyone. If I know I'm going out of town for a few weeks I probually won't sub. Also when I return and there, and I want to play a video game, and I don't have access to this one, I am going to look elsewhere for entertainment. I don't have a problem with subbing every now and then, but a perma-sub plan is somthing I've grown out of. I don't know about other people but at 14.99 a month thats around 180 bucks a year. Not to mention the content I may have to purchase coins for in the future.
  3. What about when there is a month where I don't expect to get the time to play more then a couple of days? Should I be expected to pay for the entire month then?
  4. Credit cap unlocks really should happen. Along with character slot unlocks. From the way things seem now, they want us to maybe play to 50 as a F2P or Preferred, and then sub. Thing is, with the lottery boxes that are cartel packs, they are probually making more money then from their subs hands down.
  5. This is a HUGE move imo. This F2P model is by far the most restrictive I've ever seen, but really the 2 quickbars was the only thing that really hurt it. Now anyone that does anything aside from quest can breath a little easier. I doubt this will hurt them on the $$$ since lottery boxes are going to be 80-90% of their earnings in my estimation. I just hope they don't end up like STO and neglect content for new interesting lottery boxes. I enjoy the thrill of a pakc from the cartel store every now and then, but I don't want those packs to be the only real source of new content for me.
  6. This is somthing that breaks my heart. I've been looking for close to a year now to find a game to replace wow with, and if not for this issue swtor would be it. PvE it's not too terrible only slightly annoying sometimes. PvP on the other hand....I would love to do warzones, but I have to force myself to stay away because I will not be able to perform the way I know I could without this problem.
