The next most successful was The Pebble Smartwatch at $10 million.) To anyone in the gaming industry who happens to see this. Do you need any further proof that there is a desire for Space Combat Sims to make a return?

Just to play Devil's Advocate... If someone comes up with an aimbot that actually performs well in PVP Space, Bioware should hire the guy to code the AI for PVE space.

They actually played with this idea in Beta. Companions could equip an item that would change their role to tank/dps/healer. I remember that they had a good reason for scrapping it, even though a lot of us were disappointed, but I don't remember what that reason was.

Let us pretend for a moment that we live in a magical fantasy land where money and licensing issues don't exist. If Bioware then had free access to the code from X-Wing/Tie Fighter, Jump to Lightspeed, and any of the other 20 years worth of space combat sims, would that help at all in developing integrated PVE/PVP starfighter combat? Or is TOR different enough that it'd be easier to just start from scratch?

Let's say I have all my basic War Hero Gear. I want to rip all the mods out and put them in the slave girl outfit! When the time comes to upgrade to Rated War Hero Gear, will it let me? Do I need to keep the empty shells of the originals? Will the vendor recognize the slave girl outfit as war hero peices? Will I need to rip all the mods back out of the slave girl set and put them back in the original peices!? It's a Conundrum!

Whatever man. All I know is that WoW is less fun than a trip to the Dentist after playing TOR.

I noticed this on Belsavis today. Some of the prisoners are Assassin Droids. I know this for a fact as I was on a bonus quest to defeat escape prisoners, "killed" an Assassin Droid, and it counted! This seems like unnessecarily adding to the prison over population problem the planet is clearly suffering from. Why not memory wipe the droids and reprgram them into guards? or just fracking shut them off! I suppose a few of them could be sentient. but still, how do you rehabilitate a droid without reprogramming it?

How many of you can play Mass Effect 3 on the same computer (and at maxed settings) and have it run perfectly smooth and at 2-3 times the frame rate as TOR? This one simple test proves that TOR's got major performance issues. It pains me to say that, as I really love the game, but it's hard to argue with.

While I appreciate the day of compensation, it kinda of worries me that Bioware might be listening to the whiners and QQ'ers too much. Seriously, an emergency patch one day after a major update? I'm gonna have a heart attack and die from Not Surprise.

OP is hopeless. Why do you even have an active subscription? Go play WoW or some FTP MMO.

What is the fascination devs seem to have with ridiculous, ugly, silly headgear!? It's not just TOR that's guilty of this, it seems to be a common theme in alot of MMO's over the past 5 years. It does make me appreciate orange moddable gear that much more though.

Really difficult to choose from this list.. Real 3d fully space combat wins in the end, but everything else would be awesome as well. Guild vs Guild capital ship battles, Warzones or open pvp planets where walkers and tanks can be manned, competitive swoop bike and/or pod racing, I wanna see it all!

I originally disliked the idea of chat bubbles, I was afraid it would make TOR seem too comic-booky. However today while playing Huttball, I made the mistake that I've seen my friends do countlesss times and laughed and poked fun at them for. I ran the ball to the wrong end of the Arena. Not only that, but I spent around 5 seconds running back and forth across the goal line, wondering why I wasn't scoring, while the rest of the team was yelling WRONG WAY! both in ops chat and right next to me. If we'd had chat bubbles, I would've noticed my error long before I made a fool of myself.

I believe that space is eventually going to be expanded into something akin to Jump to Lightspeed, and I will wait patiently for this. However, I'm appalled that development on it wasn't started in 2006 when the game was still on the drawing board.

Instead of restricting the color crystals themselves, Light and Dark aligned lightsabers should be limited in what color crystals they can accept. This would satisfy everyone. if a Lightsider really wants a red lightsaber, he can find an orange one to put his best mods in. My light side smuggler can shoot red blaster bolts all day because no one looks at you funny for shooting red blaster bolts!

If the devs were to make significant changes to the talent trees, we'd expect a one-time free respec. So, it seems fair to me that when the legacy system goes in, we should be allowed a one time race change to existing characters, as long as it's to races that were initially allowed for a given class. Please try to poke holes in my logic.

I missed most of the livestream yesterday, I've been searching high and low for a transcription or archived videos of what was talked about. Everyone else seems to know, so I must be blind. Can someone point me to a page/post/video/whatever of what was talked about?

You know that the color crystal vendor will only exist from 1.2 to 1.3 right? Then it goes away forever and you'll have to hunt all over the galaxy for the materials and schematics you need to make them.

TOR is the only game where I've actually enjoyed PVP. TOR is also the only game where I've ever actually been *good* at PVP. I have mild cerebral palsy which makes it difficult to control my left hand. I'm wondering if the UI and FPS issues are bringing everyone else down to my level and if I'm going to end up sucking again when they're fixed.

First off, yes I'm fully aware of the color restrictions being lifted in 1.2 along with the crystal vendor that's coming. I understand Bioware's original thought process with restricting red to Dark Side and blue/green to Light Side and I think it was done with good intentions. Jedi and Sith and their lightsabers have alot of lore surrounding them, but non-force users ought to be able to make their guns any color they want. Red blasters were typically used by the Rebellion and green by the Empire. So, I'm wondering if it would be possible to make Light and Dark aligned lightsabers only able to accept a limited range of color crystals rather than restricting the crystals themselves? It might be a nightmare to code into the crafting/modding process, I don't know. But if it's not, is it an idea that people would support?

The people who think TOR is dying only see what they want to see. The charts on mmo junkies seem consistent with any new MMO, a massive scramble to play at launch that smooths out over time. I groan every time someone claims they have proof that the games a ghost town by trying to use the server status page as proof. Most of these posts are in the middle of the day or at 4-5 am, when you would *expect* the server population to be light. Check that page again during peak hours, generally 6-11 pm server time for where ever your server is, sort by population, you'll see that there are more servers with a heavy population than there are light. The exception to this is the european servers, they need help. As for people who claim their guild is dying.. Have you ever considered that your incessant whining might be driving people away from you? My personal experience on my server is that the guilds are growing, every weekend I have more people to raid with. Last weekend we were able to get two 16 man groups together for EV, and managed to complete it for the first time in one day, despite SOA glitching out on us several times.
