  1. LOL, people actually do that? Haha, how messed up/bored do you have to be to heal mobs? This made my day.
  2. This bleeds from so many wounds it scares me. 1, In the real world do you beat up 10 year old kids day after day, or just continually? I sure hope not. 2, If you have say a gun, and decide to shoot someone "out in the jungle" who has no gun, is it his/her fault for not being prepared? And to step away from your very-very weird real world analogy and step back into SWTOR, how do you propose a Level 30 should prepare for a Level 55's 2 second kill out of nowhere?
  3. LOL. Did you read? I love world PVP. When it's level appropriate. When I'm Lvl 31, I don't want a bunch of 55s killing me 6 times in 5 minutes.
  4. I returned to TOR about 2 weeks ago, resubbed, because I really like the direction TOR is going. BTW, kudos Bioware! I play on Tomb of Freedon Nadd. And there is a really serious issue (in my opinion). Ganking. LVL 55's in PVP gear making it impossible to use the game as it was intended from LVL 30+. But it's not getting any better at 55 either. Guess what chance you have against 2, but even just one fully PVP geared dude, in your average or basic gear? And they don't just fight and go on, they stick around, kill you over and over and over, at the resurrection point, and dance on your corpse because they feel like they accomplished something, killing someone 20 levels below. Man these guys must have small d***s... I think the original design for the worlds really backfired. Bioware separated imps and reps on the planets, so when you level, you hardly ever see someone (of your same level) for some healthy world pvp. They did this to prevent ganking. Now in my opinion there is a huge problem. I have no intention of playing on a PVE server, because I love world pvp (on the rare occasion it happens.. sometimes on Tatooine) but I won't resub, because I'm not able to log in and play when I have the time for it. F2P is enough for that, which makes me not hate the game Anyhow, I was just ganked a few times, decided to vent here a little. And a question: Someone in raiding gear vs. someone in PVP gear: fair fight? Is it balanced, or if you want to feel "safe", you HAVE TO play warzones and gear up and wear that gear outside of raids?
  5. Oh god no. That's a shame. But LOL on the video with Michael Scott's voice
  6. How about opening the Support forums only? I think that is very important. Your Preferred players are also paying customers, and the support forums are the only viable option anyone has to get some support, sadly.
  7. I would actually increase the bubbles effectiveness a bit, but would make it so that the sorc can only use it on himself. Sorcerers need that tool, without it they would go down way easier. But if they can only use it on themselves, the bubble-stun fest ends.
  8. There are issues. Like datacrons silent, until you alt +ta out then back in. Same with waterfalls etc
  9. LOL this crcked me up But this might not be such a bad idea
  10. People would still get frustrated. They quit out of frustration. If tere is a debuff, or wz ban for an hour, they would just camp, on be in the wz but not fight. This is not the solution. Maybe an ingame warzone tutorial, that you HAVE TO complete, before actually playing a warzone? Explaining basic tactics and what not. That might help.
  11. I just rage quit my last 3 warzones. In alderaan, 6 people run to snow, and cant cap because of 1 enemy. And I had really horrible groups for days. It is not bearable. A debuff for this? No way. I don't mind losing when my enemies are good. But losing because my team is made up of frickin morons, over and over again? Of course people quit on you.
  12. I can think of some visual bugs that are in since beta, I didn't level up any character too high back then. Like: Stuff on your ship is blue - holocomm is blue when you cant click it, normal when you can Characters look like they are mounted, but they are not, and seem to be floating Characters and companions after a knockdown keep laying on the ground and teleport around like that Companions lightsabers are not put away (not thats even worse) There is a distance issue with vendors and clickables, at a certain distance, the cursor changes to show you that you can click, but you get the error: you are too far away.. these are the ones i can think of right now, but i didnt play fps, ops, warzones in beta at all
  13. Well it depends on when you abandoned it. Do you remember who gave you the last mission in that quest line? Your best bet is that person, because you can not redo any of the quests already turned it. So you need to try and remember when the last time was that you received a quest reward from someone in that quest line, and go there. If you don't remember, you can google Tatooine quests and see what comes up.

    PVP Since 1.5

So, in my last post I was utterly frustrated with the Lvl50 PVP. I got some real nice responses and tips, that helped me become a way better player then I once was. However, there are still issues I have, on is the LAG. I mentioned that sometimes I am not ever aware of the fact that I'm stunned, and I didn't explain why. I still have this issue, but now I know why. Lag. My quickbars should darken when I'm stunned, and there is some animation most of the time. Because of (I guess) Lag, that doesn't happen often. I even get the GCD animation sometimes, but the abilities dont go off because Im already stunned. And my pug groups still go up against premades. If we win, we know from the first minute, same if we lose. One of the teams just has no chance usually. One of the advices I got was to play the other classes too, become familiar with their abilities and what not. I did that, in the 10-49 bracket, because I didn't have other Lvl50 characters. I enjoyed it for a while, and it did make me a better PVP-er on my main. On ToFN, this bracket is now worse then the 50 one though. Since 1.5, most teams I get (I play empire side) are made up of really really REALLY bad players. The experience is just way more frustrating then the 50 bracket. And I see the same old names in the enemy - mainly rep - teams. This was not the case the first couple of days after F2P, but since it is horrible. Why is that? Most new players tried republic, and decided to play empire? New reps don't PVP? Is this only on ToFN, or on other servers too? I can't wait to see if 1.6 brings forth any good changes, and I really can't wait for open world PVP.
  15. It drops in Hard Mode only. I'm on the same server, and it's pretty weird group finder isn't popping, whenever I que for a random hard mode, it's always false emperor.
  16. Man.. do you know what these are --> . , ? !
  17. I only saw whispers. But to be honest, I have a guild chat tab for group, ops, guild and whispers, usually I use that one to avoid all the trolling around on general.
  18. Well there you go!! SGR is already in the game! You can role play pretty much anything you want, if you have fantasy. I cheesy line implemented can not be all that important. Those are just cartoon figures on a video game.
  19. Every hour I get at lease one whisper, all from different named characters. All spamming the same text. I reported the first few, but I'm not sure thats even worth it. Not to mention complicated, if you are doing something in game. Would be nice to be able to one click report credit sellers. But what else can be done? What do other games do? I know making F2p player not able to use chat would be bad.... But would in not be possible to require credit card information on character creation? Even if you are a free player. Just so bans are worth something, and the same person can not create 200 accounts with different emails after he was banned?
  20. ToFN also lags. But how is this possible? How come the Bastion has no lag? All the lag is server side, and prevented my guild from raiding twice already. I can be in an empty instance with nobody in sight and still have huge lag spikes. While my connection is usually 43ms.
  21. Well, it was like this at around launch. Then they said they are addressing it as it is a high priority, and it slowly got better. The thing is, it seems they did not address anything. The populations declined on the servers very quickly. Now that we have healthy populations again, The game lags and stutters like crazy. Would be really nice to know that they have a (big) team in place, very actively working on the engine. Because as it is, 1 year after launch, we have to choose between a healthy population, or less people and less bad performance. (because it is not good even if there are no peeps online)
  22. There are three bits of information about the Super Secret Space Project. - The oldest one (I couldn't find the source) was that they never intended to create a JTL (SWG: Jump To Lightspeed) type of space game. - The second one was that this project exists, but they will not tell us anything about it. - The third one was in the 1.6 Livestream, the space game can be played together. Because of the time it takes for the team to develop it, at this point most of us are hoping for a JTL type expansion. Why? Because that is what would make the most sense. If you do something, do it right. Right? I'm afraid we are going to be disappointed. Before the game launched, we knew very little about it, because Bioware was (and still is) really secretive. We filled the empty holes with hopes of great features. Then when the game came out, almost everybody felt bad about it at some level, after a week or two of game time. We all know what happened the following months. The problem was the secrecy + hype. We are in a very similar situation about the SSSP. We are getting hyped, getting our hopes up, and we are not getting enough info. This is a problem for both the players and Bioware. For Bioware, because early feedback is super important. The whole direction of development might be a wrong one, and they need the playerbase to tell them that, while changes can still be made. At some point in development it will be too late. For the players, this is bad because of what I said about launch. I had to take more then 8 months off from the game to be able to appreciate it. Now I can, because I came back with expectations that the game can actually meet, and enjoy my game time more then before. And the speculation part: At this point I think BW will not scrap the current space game. They would need to get rid of the missions more or less, revise how starship parts work, disconnect space levels from players ground levels (thats bad right now), more ship types might be needed (as with ground leveling, imagine going from LVL1-50 in the same set of armor) and implement their new system. I think this will not happen. I think what we will get is a space arena. Space warzone. You will still be able to play the current missions, but there will be a few 3D maps, with maybe PVP and PVE objectives. They already ace similar game systems in place (not is space of course) and this is the easiest way for them to go. Remember, they don't want a full space sim. It would be very-very beneficial for both the players and Bioware if we would have information about -not just- this project. This whole secrecy is so nonsense. I mean.. we don't want you to share information about how your servers are set up and how they run, we don't want the recipe for a bio-weapon, we don't want information that might take down EA/Bioware would it fall into the wrong hands. We just want to know what to expect is all.
  23. I'm so disappointed. The lvl 50 group finder only takes me to False Emperor. I did that so many times, and none of the other Flashpoints once. I thought, now that there are so many people leveling, I'll level an alt, so I can try at least lowbie flashpoints. But the group finder never pops, and I mean never. I can not experience Flashpoints at all, unless I take my Lv50 and run Hammer Station and such. But that is not fun at all.
