  1. If you mean that after the 4th generator goes down, immediately the sandstorm is back on, then yes that would be a bug. BUT, if you mean that after the 4th generator goes down, the fight continues until ANOTHER sandstorm hits, then your problem is simply waaaaaay too low dps.
  2. I'm hoping one day the devs will actually read these posts with constructive suggestions. To answer this thread, I'll simply direct to this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=827666&highlight=mechanics
  3. Yes, they did give us a new warzone (which I actually like quite a bit) and a new arena (which is universally despised as being terribly designed considering the camera system in this game). But no, they did NOT give us a new FP. Star Fortresses have been soloable since day 1 on the group version. They are about the same difficulty as a heroic quest, if that. Just look at how narrow the hallways are and how low the ceiling is in that entire instance. It was not designed with the intention of groups of 4 being in there. Also, the Brawler's Guild has 28 bosses which generally takes players weeks, if not months to clear. Many players just hit a wall and don't finish. Conversely, the Eternal Championship has 10 bosses that are horribly undertuned to the point where they are little more than elite mobs. Additionally, it takes LESS THAN 15 MINUTES to finish. I'm not a big WoW fan, but consider this: Swtor announces a new expansion...They say they are working on group content, but not what in any specifics. They don't say anything about raids, flashpoints, abilities, classes, levels, questing zones. There's no in-game trailer, no CGI trailer. Meanwhile, Wow announces a new expansion. We get an in-game trailer, a CGI trailer, a web comic, and a book. They explain the new raids, new flashpoints, new abilities, new levels, new questing areas. They release a brand new class. They have a pre-launch patch, with an entire story-driven invasion happening all over the game world. Now, they have another trailer for a post-expansion content patch containing yet another flashpoint with nine bosses in it. When people talk on these forums about more group content, THIS is what they are talking about. Not an instanced mission that is soloable the second the expansion is released. Just my 2 credits.
  4. I just died a little inside. My friend did the same thing to me when they announced the new "amazing" features they added to enhance our "cartel pack opening experience." I got a text from him saying the Devs just announced a new operation. I hate him as much as I hate you. But I hate myself waaaaay more for expecting new content
  5. Sorry to hear about that. I don't know how you feel about special letters in your name, but if you really want to make "Hollie" again, you could try these: ô = alt 147 ø = alt 0248 í = alt 161 ì = alt 141 ï = alt 651 It won't be exactly the same, but it'll be pretty close. Hope that helps.
  6. To a degree. Certain classes will sometimes have abilities in their kits that help them during certain boss mechanics. However, Sorc/Sage and Jugg/Guardians do still have cooldowns on their abilities that would help them with the parkour idea. For instance, on Soa, leapers can avoid fall damage a few times during the platforming phases, but they can't avoid the damage completely. Cooldown timers prevent that innately.
  7. I love this idea. I always felt that, with so many characters in your legacy, it is a shame that they never meet in game.
  8. With the announcement of the new expansion, this seems like a good time to bump this old thread. Please Devs, we've done some of the brainstorming for you. Just take the baton and run with it!
  9. With the new expansion approaching, I would like to suggest something that has seemingly been forgotten about over the past few years. This game is a vertical-scaling, progression-based model. What I mean by this is that a player's character progresses through the game by leveling up(vertical). Once the character is level capped, there is a gear progression(vertical) to go through. However, these are not the only two vertical models in the game. When SWTOR launched, there was a Legacy grind to 50. There was a Social grind to 10. There was a Valor grind to 70 (this was raised in the first expansion, I believe, to 100). Unfortunately, none of these vertically scaling progression systems have been addressed in years. So, here's my proposal/plea. With this expansion(and the assumed level increase), please also increase the Social cap to 20, the Legacy cap to 60, and the Valor cap to 150. Along with this increase, provide superficial rewards for reaching these new benchmarks. New special titles like (these are just examples off the top of my head): Social 20 = "Life of the party," Legacy 60 = "of House xxxx," and Valor 110, 120, 130, 140, 150 = Visigoth, Elite Visigoth, Harbinger, Elite Harbinger, Leviathan. Also. add in some unique armor sets for rewards. They can be reskins of existing armors. Maybe throw in a unique dye or two. And finally, for Social rank 20, I propose that the player should be able to buy an EXCLUSIVE two person mount. I mean, what's more social than driving with someone in the passenger seat. Just take the existing droid-chauffeur vehicles and take out the droid. BOOM, 2 seater mount! (the reason I say exclusive is because, if you are a solo player here for story, then what the heck you need a 2 seater for? I would love to hear feedback on these ideas, so if anyone else has suggestions to add to the systems I've mentioned, please do.
  10. One suggestion I would make has to do with the part I put in bold: You can't roll to resist an ability in sawbones. The ability to roll to resist an attack is in the scrapper tree (Slippery Devil, passive at level 52). AP Powertechs were recently nerfed, but they can still truck you if played by a decent pvper. Our healing output is based on HoT heals, so the longer you can run/roll/los your attackers, the more survivability you'll have. Our direct/casted heals will not stand up to the burst of an AP Powertech. It's important to give your HoTs as much time as possible to work their magic. Judging by what you wrote, you seem to be playing your class well. Just remember our biggest advantage is not being found in the first place. Work on LoSing before they find you. Heal from behind a ramp, behind a box, behind a pillar. Always just poking yer head out to heal then dash back behind. If you get spotted, vanish and roll to the other side of the fight, then continue to peak out and heal from that side. Lastly, seismic grenades are a healer's best friend!
  11. What times/days are best for queueing ranked?
  12. I don't know if I will be participating, but this seems like a cool idea.
  13. Pretty much. If you're tanking Nefra, you want to literally be standing on top of the other tank. If both tanks are in front of Nefra but are too far apart, Nefra's gonna bonk you hard
  14. They have said that the binding is a known bug. I just really hope they fix this soon. I've been sitting on over 70 decorations for over a month now. C'mon BioWare, my guild's ship needs its new droid factory!
