  1. This guys is clueless. The bounty hunter class can dps, tank or heal as well, but not in the same AC, none of them can. You have to choose either heal/dps or tank/dps. Plus any AC that can heal has a battle res. My thoughts are that he only has a sorc, and maybe looked at a jugg and merc without any knowledge of them or any other class.
  2. I play Advanced Prototype and I find the rotation to be more fun than pyrotech. It might be performing better than pyrotech also.
  3. I guess I underestimated the pettiness of people then. I love the assassin class too much to just stop playing it because of an animation I don't like.
  4. I'm assuming this is a troll topic? It's very convincing that people are actually serious about this though.
  5. ^This. If you were in a flashpoint and got put in as healer, but not specced as a healer, you deserve to be kicked. Anyone who thinks otherwise has no business doing flashpoints. Whether you like the mechanic or not or think it is fair, doesn't matter. People aren't being mean by kicking you, you just literally cannot do a flashpoint if you don't have a tank and healer specced for their appropriate roles. If this is something you don't agree with, then just don't play, or at least do flashpoints, you are just ruining for others.
  6. The problem here is people not knowing mechanics. MMO's are not catered to hardcore professional gamers, if anything the opposite. Anyone that thinks this just has no business playing in the first place. There are many things that can be going wrong, but I'll say this since I've seen it brought a few times. The first boss in hammer station uses a beam and it NEEDS to be CLEANSED at around 4 or 5 stacks. If this doesn't happen you will almost always wipe. This stuff isn't hard, you just need to know what you are doing.
  7. This seems like a good use of your time. Posting about a game you don't play anymore. Anyway, I seriously doubt that after the ****** operatives got mercs will be improved anytime soon. So, if people are going to quit they should just do it now and please leave the forums. Unless there is anything constructive/helpful to be said.
  8. Lol? Is this a troll post? If it is not you must be delusional. It is the exact opposite for people with a life. Here's a thought, if you have no problem finding people to group with, then don't use the tool. If you play with friends and do content together, then keep doing that. This is completely illogical. Either you are just ignorant or stupid. The tool does not force you to group. If you find a group by yourself you still get the rewards by queuing with people you know. For anyone thinking like this and also believe it brings bad players that is not completely accurate. Yeah, some bad people may get into a group, but if you are an advocate for finding your own groups, you wouldn't be using the tool anyway amirite? Not everyone that queues up alone is a bad player. I myself have played wow and I do have a great guild I do things with, but we aren't always on at the same times because of LIFE. The lfg tool lets me still play and complete things at tiems I want to play but my friends/guild cannot. Are you saying I should only log on when everyone else can play? Your post is just one big contradiction. How can you talk about finding a group should be like choosing friends, then say the LFG tool is unplayable for people with a life? It's for that very reason the tool was implemented and why it succeeds. I also have been in many pug groups in wow and while I get in bad groups. I ALWAYS eventually find groups and complete everything. In swtor I sit in one spot praying to find someone and give up after awhile. that is not how an mmo should work.
  9. I think the main reason things aren't like in single player games is one thing. What you do in a single player game doesn't effect anyone but yourself. That doesn't really give you much more customization anyway and would only make it even more hell to balance.
  10. That's good for you and if it works for you, I have no problem with it. Maybe you have good luck, maybe I have bad luck, but since I started playing I have found it hard to find groups for flashpoints. Mix that with the fact that I have to sit on the fleet and spam chat till MAYBE I find another person that wants to do it and we spend 30 minutes looking for one person before giving up. I hate to see how this is like on low pop servers. When it all comes down to it, it doesn't hurt the game in anyway, it only helps. For one, all the flashpoints are on the fleet, so you can't give that excuse of taking away from the exploration of the game. If anything it helps because now I can spend my time traveling to other planets while I wait for my queue and don't have to sit on the fleet. I can spend my time enjoying the game, while at the same time, doing flashpoints. I see no problem here. LFD for this game does not make a bad community or lazy people. It makes doing flashpoints actually feasible for a lot of people. People are going to be lazy and rude whether or not they add a LFD tool or not. Sure you get people that don't care because they aren't on your server, but so what. My purpose is to get into flashpoints and complete them. This will improve my chances of that happening exponentially.
  11. While it may be fun to experiment on that, I'm sure this game doesn't need another reason for people to be OP. Sure your hp could be pretty low, but when the game becomes a game of making sure you don't get hit even once or twice, then there is a problem. Sure you can stack endurance but then what? You're just sitting there with a lot of HP and no attack power. You could probably kill the glass cannons because their health is so low, but I personally wouldn't find that enjoyable. The game is not completely balanced by any means, but I should be able to play my class based on the play style and not based on how I distribute my stat points. I understand that system may be "hardcore" or how people used to do it. But it is not needing in some games and not needing to have customization over your character. Is changing the way you put in stat points really going to make it better? I would feel more control over my character with different skill and talent point options, how my gear looks, and play style. Not whether or not I decide to stack a certain stat.
  12. Guys, don't feed trolls. It's obvious that the skills for each faction do the same damage, regardless of the way it looks. If this is all about what looks better, than I agree that it is sith most of the time, but the damage itself is completely identical.
  13. I'm new to the class so please don't flame. I just wanted to know why Imperial Brew was not taken. Is teh increase really not worth it?
  14. I just wanted to point out that even if dispatch wasn't that good for sentinels, taking it away would be dumb anyway because it isn't a sentinel skill, but a Jedi knight skill. Meaning my guardian would be very upset if all of a sudden my epic finishing move was gone because some sentinels complained. From what I've read I think that some people misunderstand guardians. Yes they can tank, but they can also dps and just because you are a guardian doesn't mean you tank. also, just because you have heavy armor doesn't mean you can play like a tank if you aren't specced as one. You'd be surprised at how fast a dps guardian can be killed if they don't play right.
  15. I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but after playing republic and empire I've decided to stick with Empire and I'm looking for an Rp-pvp server. I wanted to know if there was any idea of the most used class is on these servers. I'd like to play a pure dps class even though I know it will be hard for me to find groups and a guild to let me be apart of their progression teams. I'm willing to pick a class that can do more than one roll if needed. Basically, what I want to play the most is Mercenary or Sith Assassin. Sniper and Marauder are also options. Sorry again if this is not the place to post this.
