  1. Space Missions - The graphics are now beautiful. You shoot things and huge clouds of smoke fill your screen, obscuring any targets or obstacles in your path. Blaster fire is loud and continuous, obscuring all the nice audio cues by anything else. How about introducing toggles to lower smoke effects and dampen the blaster fire noise to reasonable levels? Spam - So some goofball went and hit me with about 10 group invites in a row. Not even on the same planet as me. This person was apparently spam-inviting a large number of high level players that were online. There is currently no easy way to ignore or report that person except by manually typing their name. How about making their name in the invite system message right-clickable so we can bring up the menu to ignore them? Silence - Getting into a live chat session with a CSR is like pulling teeth. A two minute wait between responses from the CSR, with NO indication that he's typing or looking something up or eating lunch, is way too long. Several times I thought the CSR had gotten disconnected. How about telling them to say "hang on, I'm going to look up some info on your problem" so that the customer at least knows that the CSR is still alive?
  2. the good - moving the ui around! the bad - would like option to 'align' and/or 'snap-to' ui elements, rather than trying to eyeball stuff. still cannot set a chat window to be noninteractive, or lock it. would like option to hide the little ui buttons on the ends of actionbar 1 (the lock button, the up/down, and the open-the-editor button). toggle-able skills on side bars have their toggle indicator showing up on the bottom of the icon instead of the side (pre-1.2) space missions -- Blaster sounds seem to have gotten very very noisy. I can't hear anything other than that on high level msns. It's drowning out all the other audio cues. Loading seems to be taking longer for space missions. Five tries and I still cannot load the asteroid belt msn in time to see and shoot the heavy fighters before they fly off. Hotkey icons are showing up offset higher than their ui frame. other If sprint is automatically a level 1 skill, why even bother having it? It's now a waste of space. Just make it passive and be done with it. Jedi Sentinel skill tree (combat) refers to a Sith skill name in one of the tooltips. (forgot which)
  3. bugs that are still happening: 1. Cooldown count does NOT update after zoning. Gets stuck on whatever number it happened to be on last. Never updates. Tooltip and the graphic are correct, though. Cannot use #s at the moment because they are inaccurate. Would if they worked properly, tho. 2. If you are messing with preferences and a companion returns from a crew mission, (dropping the preferences window) the ui suddenly thinks you're in mouse scroll mode, and will merrily scroll any further window you bring up if it has a scroll bar, until you log out. 3. Companions getting stuck on the roof of caverns. Um... suggestions: 1. Need another action bar. The number of abilities is way too big. 2. Would like option for a third action bar in the middle of the screen (under the other two). Side action bars are hard to monitor during combat. 3. Visible keybindings -- ABBREVIATE 'mouse button', please. I have three buttons labeled 'mouse bu...' which is very unhelpful. Now if they said 'M4' or 'M5', that would be useful. 4. Allow option to import settings from another character, and/or notate which ones are 'global' settings and which are 'character specific'. 5. Would like UI scaling. 6. Would like ability to create a chat window that is NON-interactable. I just need to see certain text, but can't stand having the window focus suddenly change and a huge rectangle suddenly show up if I mouse over it by accident. Kinda goes along with UI scaling. At the moment, there's really no place to put another chat window without it getting in the way of everything else. For that matter, you can't even resize the main text window, since if you do, it overlaps the left hand action bar and grabs focus from it, making it impossible/very hard to mouse click the buttons. other suggestions: 1. would like server shutdown messages to be a bit more descriptive than 'go see the forums'. 2. would like ability to preview what weapons look like in the dressing room. 3. would like a 'reset' button in the dressing room. 4. would like some indication of where unlocked missions are in crew missions rather than having to scroll down on every single tab to find them. minor suggestion: might be nice if vocalizations during space missions actually applied to the situation. hearing corso scream "shoot something, anything!" when all that's in front of me is the shuttle i'm escorting, is a bit disconcerting. =)
  4. Happened on two trooper characters myself now. On the bright side, my customer service ticket on this has now been 'escalated' twice. =D ...whatever that means! lol. You'd think they'd at least be able to say "it's a known Trooper issue, we're looking into it" instead of being randomly vague. Got gun, got mod, got tutorial entry popup, no quest. Went outside, put mod into gun, still nothing happened, no quest. Clicked on placard, clicked on mod station...nothing. Had friend who was able to get the quest, but it was his very first character created. Neither of my troopers were my first characters, which may or may not have made a difference?
  5. Additional things: 1. complete lack of reference to random emails from Customer support (IRL, not in-game). I have no idea what ticket they're responding to. How about quoting the original ticket? 2. woefully slow response by customer support (2 weeks now) to supposedly escalated tickets, using their wonderful keyword method, which is by itself a silly concept. 3. horrid grammar in canned customer support messages. (english) 4. still no search function in forums. 5. why are the Game Helptips / tooltips / tutorials NOT in the in-game knowledge base? 6. tickets vanishing from ticket history without a trace. in-game concern: large personal speeders are becoming common. they can easily be used to hide/cover NPCs that other people may need to interact with. is there some sort of 'interact with health bar/nameplate' feature like other MMOs have, in order to offset this potential griefing?
  6. Happened Jan 8, and Jan 4 (so, not fixed in patches to date) -- UI settings reset upon zoning into new flashpoint. Ones noticed were: 1. Chat font size (on all windows) 2. Chat timestamp 3. Show Light/Dark choices in conversation 4. Companion bar location (left side, vs default of center) 5. Subtitles in conversation May have been others but was trying to catch up with the group so...
  7. Feedback: 1. Would like patch notes to show up in the launcher. Gives you something to read while waiting for patch progress bars without having to bring up a browser, which for some reason slows down the patching process... 2. Would be nice if the patching would occur BEFORE you had to enter your user name and password. Minor quibble. 3. Would like "report spammer" to also put them on ignore. One less button to have to push. 4. Would like option to leave backpack open when closing the bank. 5. Would like option to open backpack automatically when composing mail. 6. Hoping for fix in the near future for a) crew skills bug showing the skills of alts b) mouse scroll getting stuck if you're messing in the ui preferences and a companion returns from a mission, which closes the preferences window abruptly, but when you go back, mouse scroll is stuck on... c) random loss of the 'reverse engineering' option (reloading UI didn't help, had to open the bank, go figure) d) those HUGE invalid Customer Support ticket numbers that I have stuck in my customer support history. e) faster response by customer support to their supposed 'expedited' support which is taking a while... f) better english in the customer support automated responses. The Good: Rapid patching to patches. Haven't got stuck in the landscape once this week! The Weird: Companions deciding they're going to do a Death From Above manoeuvre (in underground areas), or just hover overhead and attack (sometimes causing mobs to go into Evade mode)...
  8. UI suggestions: 1. Allow changing colors of 'party mission objectives' on the world/mini map. That purple is very difficult to see as a chat text (which you CAN change), let alone little icons. (well, at least for me) 2. Allow rescaling of UI elements. I'm getting really tired of having quest complete buttons being buried underneath that huge tooltip popup in the lower right. At the least, allow rescaling of that darn tooltip. 3. Put the 'help tips' into the knowledge base. Please. There is good info that shows up, but no way to recover it later. Searching in the knowledge base usually turns up very little. (for example, "respec". ) 4. Would like ability to make top toolbar / minimenu invisible unless I mouse over that area. Trying to minimize screen clutter is hard in this game. 5. Would like hidden chat tabs to blink if there's fresh activity there. (yes, wow does this). Handy for noticing new whispers that may have scrolled off the General screen. That audio alert is useless. 6. Would like to see notices of upcoming maintenance more prominently featured; like oh, in the LAUNCHER. Would prefer launcher default to showing system alerts rather than advertising.
  9. More UI Feedback - Can't use the elevator in Flashpoints if your group is in combat! Annoying if you're trying to get to them. - Can't harvest gathering nodes if your Flashpoint group is in combat. Seems silly. - Can't stay in self-heal mode if your Flashpoint group starts a combat. Also seems silly. Should only matter if you yourself is in combat. - Group quest tracking is very cumbersome. Yes it shows that there are other party members on a given quest, but you have to actually select the quest instead of just mousing over it. It also doesn't show party names, which would make things a lot easier too figure out. I don't want to see a list of every party member's quests individually, I would like to see them sorted by QUEST, not by player. I want to know at a glance which quests everyone has in common so we can go do those, not have to scroll down through each player playing 'Memory' and try to recognize matching quests. - Auto attack nearest enemy toggle. Would like subset for melee vs ranged. It's handy for my melee, but dangerous for my ranged characters (end up pulling another group). - Party/whisper incoming chat noise is too unobtrusive. Would like a better noise, or would like the ability to create non-interactable chat windows (so, just for display purposes), so I can have an indication somewhere on my screen that party/whispers are incoming without having to weed them out of all the general/trade chat channel texts. Yes, you can create new chat windows and put it there, but then you mouse over it and the darn borders and everything pop up and cover half the screen. I'd like it noninteractable, so I can mouseover and nothing changes at all. - world map. Clicking on doorways brings up the next section of map, nice. Clicking on elevators does nothing. Would be nice if they were consistent. - operation (raid) unit frames - would like option to toggle seeing energy bars. OTHER - forums - would be nice if you said that forum posting ability was disabled during maintenance, somewhere... - forums - bring back the search function!
  10. UI Feedback and Impressions. - Mouse camera movement seems a bit spastic every once in a while. Would be nice to have a ''mouse sensitivity'' control somewhere. Yes, the mouse camera speed helps a bit, but it still seems a bit loose. - Would like to be able to scale the UI elements. (action bars, size of text for the mission tracker, scaling the top minimenu, scaling the size of the tooltip that pops up above the minimap...) I tried setting up an extra chat window but had no good place to put it thanks to all the other huge UI elements. =/ - Chat windows - would like to be able to lock them. (stop resizing!) - Would like to be able to scale/move ui windows. For example, if you resize the chat window longer, it gets lost behind any other ui window that pops up in front (ie, missions, crafting) - Would like option to import all UI settings from one character to another. Would like clear indications on which UI settings are global and which are not. Having to go through all the settings and find those few options that are not global and set those up again and again is annoying. - Hotkey text on buttons -- If you set mouse keys, the text is ''MOUSE BU...'' and you can''t tell what the # is at all. It''d be nice if you could just shorten it to ''M'' or ''B'' + #. If you set numpad keys, there is no indication that it''s different from the normal keys. Again, it''d be nice if you added ''N'' in front so you could tell the difference. - Would like option to see group companions (pets) in the operation (raid) frames. - Would like option to disable showing titles on player''s nameplates. Some of them get a bit long... The good: Thank you for all the options for which nameplates to display, lots of keybindings, lots of action bars, and lots of graphic settings.
