Well this isnt true. There are people like me who pvp exclusively in the 10-49 bracket. Gear doesnt = Win in pre-50. And i dont bother to quest much other maybe knocking out some class quests. Nothing funner than taking a lowbie and beating people in there upper 40's. Nothing wrong with the 10-49 bracket. Dont change a thing. People who say otherwise just havent thought it out.

Everybody appreciates that dead servers made doing anything impossible. For transferees its terrific. The original pop already had a good thing going. Now whether its pvp or pve the groups are sucking. Yes there could be noobs from the original pop but the bad groups began happening right after transfers. whats done is done but from our point of view the game isnt as fun.

Due to bolster its possible for a lvl 10 to do the most dps in a WZ. Besides it drives people in there upper 40's nuts to see lvl 10's in WZs

I find it particularly rewarding. After the nerf to sages so many rerolled FoTM classes. I enjoy taking a sage into WZs and out dps'ing everything. I understand that will change at 50. But I prefer pre-50 anyways. Gear doesn't = Win in pre-50. And its great fun.

Pre-transfers pvp was very fun on our server. Post-transfer pvp is really bad. Its like WZs got put into the wayback machine to 5 months ago. Its easy to spot transferees.

I got my highest game so far at lvl 30 just shy of 300k and I've always been balance. There is nothing wrong with your rotation because I'm doing that same things. Its just my opinion but I think TK spam is higher dps than working in FIB and dots. But dots work great on snipers or if your pressured into kiting. Sometimes i get lucky and get brief periods of free casting. I think this comes from good positioning. Sometimes i never get to free cast and dont even break 100k. It took me awhile to improve at positioning and I still mess up. Pretty much just think like a sniper and it got better for me. Maybe that doesnt make much sense but with bolster i usually end up close to the top. The only other classes up there are snipers and high level maras/operatives.

I'm also noticing post-tranfers that the bottom of the skill base bucket fell out completely. People I grouped with pre-transfers seemed to at least somewhat know how to play there classes and they usually would respect a cc'd mob and focus fire down the right mob. This is the way to clear a FP quick and painlessly. Post-transfers the players dont know how to play there classes very well, the target cc'd mobs most of the time and they rarely if ever focus fire the main target. This leads to longer fights, damage spread across the entire group and much much slower FP runs. Maybe thats contributing somewhat to your force pool evaporating?

.... wall of text crits for 25k! I tried to read it but it sounded too much like so many other posts from other mmo's. Does SWTOR have its shortcomings? Well sure it does. Did WoW have its shortcomings? It did for 6-7 yrs. Some things WoW never overcame yet it seems to be the mmo that comparisons are made too. And SWTOR has been much better at trying to correct things than Blizzard ever was back in the early days of WoW. I think people just look at mmo's like vanilla WoW or DAOC with rose colored glasses. Sorry SWTOR wasn't your cup of tea. GL finding your holy grail.

Could be something as simple as playstyle and positioning. I was hitting 200-230'ish as a lvl 10 and I've see others with slightly more. Even if your the most effective caster as a sage you wont see those higher numbers unless you are alive and not dragging melee all over the WZ. Also maybe post your spec and describe your rotation a little.

Your right. Spamming Benevolence will run you OOF quickly. Its better to use Deliverance as much as possible. And when someone is taking too much damage I like to give them a bubble. I find Benevolence too poor of a heal until later when talents can boost the crit. If it crits then is not such a bad spell.

Things must change drastically at level 50. I'm sure gearing has much to do with it. But I've pretty much just pvp'd from lvl 10 to lvl 29 and there is no way I could honestly say "yup I need a dps boost!". Makes me glad I'm not lvl 50

To OP maybe its your gear. I've done many FP's with people who go in with abismal gear. I mean come on, proper level greens cost almost nothing and would give them a huge boost in every aspect. I'm not sure how your going OOF because I couldn't do it if I tried on one boss unless I spammed my insta dot over and over without letting it tick full duration. I'm lvl 29 but I did FP's from Hammer Station to Cademinu and can't recall going OOF but maybe a couple times

I'm no expert but from what I've read it seems telekinesis is slightly better than balance. I pve'd just a little as balance at mid levels and it seems strong compared to other classes at the same levels. In pvp balance is nice dps and most importantly mobile. But I'd like to hear some posts from other more seasoned pve'ers as well.

^^ This is why I'm in no hurry to get any toon to lvl 50. I've got a bunch of toons and I've pvp'd a lot. I just prefer the pre-50 bracket for a lot of reasons. But I do sympathize with the people who get to lvl 50 and the grass isn't as green as they thought. Not sure there is a answer. Other mmo's haven't figured it out either. I've never liked the "best gear wins" scenario which is why I dont pvp there.

Not every spec is going to be best for pvp. Some will favor PvE. The OP didn't specify what his spec was but my suggestion would be to adapt or reroll. There that wasn't so tough was it? p.s. I play a balance sage in pvp and its awesome. I can't believe all the FOTM'ers qq'ing so hard then rerolled but then I guess thats what they do?

I dont think the transfer's to Fatman would understand either. All works out in the end.
