  1. 99% of the time when people are referring to "toxicity" in Flashpoints, it's "Timewasters" complaining that other players got salty when they wasted those player's time. If you have no idea what you're doing, take 3 literal seconds and google a video or guide, or at the absolute minimum, just /p "I've never been here, please give me pointers" If you want to watch every cut scene run story mode. If it's a FP with no story mode, then get a friend to run you through, or at the minimum, just say something at the beginning so players who don't want to do that will have an opportunity to leave before it even gets started and you can backfill from queue. If you are polite and courteous in SWTOR, 99% of other players will return the courtesy...except in fleet chat....it's a hive of scum and villainy.
  2. LoL, NiM raider wants content that's not even relevant to himself to be nerfed so that average players will struggle with it, simply because he's salty that it's not harder..... I've raided at all levels in this game, got the timed NiM run titles back in the day. Mostly play casual now, and let me tell you: 90% of the playerbase cannot farm HM, and even struggle with SM occasionally true story. Yes, this may be laughable to anyone with a decent amount of raiding experience, but it's true. Remove VE and you will drive the casuals out of this game. We can't afford to do that because the game is funded by the casuals and running them off would literally kill the game. So no thanks.
  3. Just to put an end to "all companions are the same" bs...here are actual numbers proving that they are very different in performance: https://www.thesecondsithempire.com/mobile/forum/viewthread/m/11918976/id/32726486-guide-to-swtor-companions
  4. NO You are not the center of the universe, nor the emperor of the galaxy OP. What we do in a closed instance with other players, having a good time WITH a community is non of your concern. Solo grinding CQ on an army of alts makes this game feel dead and pointless. Getting CQ on an alt army with a COMMUNITY of other players, having fun while doing it makes the game.....FUN! If you want to be an old man screaming at ppl to get off your lawn, feel free to do that in RL, let players in a *game* have their fun without your harassment k thx.
  5. So sorry the game isn't catering to your playstyle. /s This change is overwhelmingly positive for *every* player in this game whether some of them like OP realize it or not. More options = better experience. If you want to get CQ as a group you can very easily running heroics *with a group*, running FPs *with a group*. The main difference is NOW the huge majority of vet players with tons of alts have more options and less of a mindless grind.
  6. I love the new system. Yes, it's easy to make jokes about getting 5k from hailing a cab, but more player freedom in how we achieve our goals is a very good thing. This is why I'm playing SWTOR and not WoW where everyone is forced into the same dreary repetitive content and punished with a time-gate on top of it.
  7. Same exact thing here....and it's not "general internet" stuff, we get booted to the server select screen and it is completely empty, it's an internal issue.
  8. In my case, the system is completely stable aside from this one issue, and I'm not losing internet or wi-fi connectivity, as none of my other constantly connected apps/services are affected.
  9. Same issue here, but I don't use that xbox app, and am on Satele Shan.
  10. Increasing money sinks will make the "poor" players even poorer, while barely affecting the people who have tons of money already(which is actually a huge portion of the playerbase in a 4yr old game). In other words, prices will stay high, and the poorest players will have even less to spend and fall even farther behind. The solution is for players to go out and make some money to buy the things they want(It's really easy to do) instead of asking for knee-jerk changes that will result in the exact opposite of your intended outcome. p.s. The increase in supply brought about by chance cubes has already dropped prices further and faster than any credit sink ever would.
  11. You can make millions per day running grouped heroics(or just heroics on multiple toons solo) You can make millions per day running dailies You can make millions per day playing the market You can make millions per day buying stuff on the CM and selling it on the GTN You can make millions per day using any harvesting skill and selling the proceeds None of these methods are "broken". The fact that there are a lot of ways to make money is A GOOD THING, since the economy got screwed with the exploit last year when literally trillions of credits flooded the economy and caused prices to skyrocket. Relatively easy credits for legitimate players is helping to bring the balance back.
  12. There is probably already enough inherent value in slicing. It's the profession you can take to make straight credits when you don't want to mess with crafting. De-valuing multiple blue/purple crafting materials from multiple other harvesting professions(and in the process forcing people to depend on GTN or a 2nd crafting toon to make their own profession's best items) in order to "prop up" the value of Slicing even further just doesn't make any sense IMO.
  13. Bug has been happening for months now, but it's ok guys! They'll announce a future announcement that will acknowledge this bug and schedule an announcement of an announcement of a possible fix sometime in 2018!
  14. BioWare 101: Breaks 2 world events in December and won't fix them; Ends 2x EXP Bonus right on time.
  15. Before you go and blame the players like an irate fanboy, consider the following: EA takes the license for granted...ergo we have the massive problems in SWTOR and the dreck that is Battlefront. BioWare takes this title for granted, and takes it's playerbase for granted with their "Let them eat cake" style approach to the ongoing development and management of the game.
  16. In before "I called it" because I actually called it.
  17. 4-6hrs of story with no replay value. Weeks of grind for no discernible gameplay advantage. Seems legit.
  18. Guy, these companions are BROKEN. B-R-O-K-E-N. Broken things should be fixed. Whether you care or not is totally irrelevant. That is all.
  19. I see your SWG2 and raise you an HL3.
  20. Agree 100% with OP. It's stupid. Especially in light of the fact that many of the stack exploiters now have tons of 99stacks of Gree tokens(and tokens for all other events).
  21. Considering that Chapters I-IX only took about 6hrs to get through, this one chapter will probably be not much more than 1 HOUR of gameplay... ...
  22. When your skill and gear level greatly exceed the average, you must frequently TAKE THE INITIATIVE to create your own challenges through Meta gameplay(like re-doing One and Only post nerf-pre buff, like attempting to solo Tacs and HMFPs, and yes...like dismissing companion). Anyone who's legitimately "hardcore" knows this instinctively.
  23. This is pretty much true of all MMOs. If you have a technical issue 9/10 Google will solve it, and 9/10 CS will give you nothing but useless info(at best).
  24. Bug Report Ticket submitted as well What: Corpse Cleanup Script Not Working Where: All planets When: Not on every single corpse, but a large number of them. It seems(theory) that the server de-sync is causing the corpse cleanup script to not run properly in some cases randomly(possibly when a lootable corpse is looted, but the server de-syncs and doesn't think it's been looted yet, which sends it into some kind of limbo state?) Result: un-playable lag in areas with an extreme amount of permanent corpses piled up Secondary Result: The hamsters are getting VERY tired, and the lag is creeping into non-planetary areas Details: Corpse cleanup script is not executing properly in some cases, resulting in a massive amount of corpses remaining on the ground. This problem appears to be universal, and is affecting all zones on all servers from the looks of the multitude of forum/reddit/etc/ posts. The end result is game-breaking lag in some areas, and on most planets. The lag is getting so bad, it's starting to affect systems and processes in all parts of the game. Whether this is directly due to the corpse bug, or a broader server de-sync(which might even be the source of the corpse bug) is something that of course, I do not have within my power to determine. Just wanted to pass it along, since it's been happening for over 24hrs with no official response yet.
