  1. Hello all, Decided to play swtor again, haven't played since initial release. I played first 5-6 months of the game being out and ended up being distracted by other stuff. Been back about a week now. Anywho, I have a 50 Jugg, 60 Operative and a 65 Pyrotech so far. Oh and a 60 Marauder. Looking for PvP/PvE guild, casual/social based. I'm on when I have time, so I can't commit to any guilds specific schedules for ops/whatnot. I'm quite laidback, and friendly. I'll help out when I can, and I can be quite competitive so I fit in PvP guilds well. any questions, fire away Message me in-game (Syscho/Pytheb or Bamfbear)
  2. Yea I've been really itchin to try Jedi Knight storyline, since I have a juggernaut and don't feel like lvling another one (guardian) I might just lvl a sentinel. hell, they have way cooler looking armors than marauders do..
  3. Sith Warrior is very "epic feeling" in the way its your rise to power. When you say Jedi Knight is "epic feeling", is that so in the same way or epic feeling like what?
  4. So which class on republic side has the best story? I know it comes down to preference so I'm asking which ones you guys like the most! I wanna lvl a republic toon after playing lots on empire side. I LOVED the Sith Warrior storyline. I do have a commando I kinda like, curious about the Trooper storyline as well. Anywho! Opinions on best storylines, go!
  5. Rage is meh for pvp. You generate rage slow and you're biggest burst is from Smash, at 44 I'm able to get smash up to 4k which is cool and all but I prefer Vengeance pvp. Getting the talent that gives you a stacking buff whenever you're slowed is awesome. 50% extra dmg on Impale? yes please.
  6. Most MMORPG games that have warrior classes, the class scales with gear immensely. That's why I said it, maybe not as much in SWTOR but regardless, the Juggernaut class needs tweaking and I'm hoping BW will heed our calls.
  7. Balancing a warrior class is extremely hard. We scale with gear extremely well. Just look at WoW warriors, every content patch blizzard nerfs them a bit because new gear = a lot more dps.
  8. Juggernauts arent gimped. We are in need of some buffs though, as our end-game dps is mediocre at best and if you roll Jugg, prepare to only tank. Rage spec is horrid dmg, yea nice big crits with smash every so often but you'll get much more damage output with Vengeance, and better rage generation/consistency. As far as PvP goes, as Vengeance jugg I do pretty well. If you know who to go for/and you choose your battles. For example, don't go after the geared out tank if you're alone. You'll lose because you won't hit him for anything. Use your gap closers wisely and don't let yourself be kited. DON'T HESITATE TO USE FORCE PUSH/FORCE CHOKE!! I cannot stress this enough. These abilities will save you in pvp. (Force Push someone off cliff/into fire/into trap = win)
  9. I like the idea of bleeds from Force Scream/Impale stacking onto Shatter.. the only problem is the cooldowns and durations interweave enough that the bleed would never end. This would cause major issues of people QQ'ing and probably make the dps too strong. If you used your rotation properly, the dot from Shatter would be infinite and would just destroy dps meters. Vengeance tree dps is ALMOST there, it just needs tweaking. A nice thing to add to it would be some sort of raid buff. But all in all, the Rage tree needs the most tuning. The damage is mediocre and your biggest nuke is Smash, and that's only every 20ish seconds.. =/ Pommel Strike and Savage Kick also need to be tweaked a lot. I love those abilities and I can see how they are useful in lvling, but PvP/End-game you may as well just remove them from your bars. I have my Chilling Scream bound and I use it A LOT, as in Shien Form it costs me 1 rage. Savage Kick should be usable but it never is. And I nearly forgot to mention the talent in Rage tree, that reduces rage cost of movement impairing abilities by 1. It's a one point talent, for just that. Seems very underwhelming, that talent should be reworked or buffed in some way.
  10. This class has high potential. I can see it. We should FEEL like a Juggernaut. Not some pesky fly people just swat away. People should try to keep us off them in pvp. How do you stop a caster in pvp? You swarm him to overwhelm him and burst him down due to squishiness. How do you counter a juggernaut? Keep him off you and kite him. As far as PvE goes, the potential for competitive dps is there. The talent that gives Impale/Shatter a 30% chance to refresh the cd on ravage is amazing. yea, you gotta pray to RNG gods for it but it's still a great talent, coupled with some improvements, jugg dps could be a valuable asset. Just thought, if our bleeds put up a debuff that increased damage taken, we would be a valuable raid buff. Why not make it a debuff that increases dmg the enemy takes from us by a base %, and dmg taken from others by a lower %. Rough number crunch, 10% extra dmg from the Jugg, 4% for the rest of the people?
  11. So I've looked through the talent trees and played around with them looking to see what's good and what isn't. Now these are just suggestions, and I'm sure my fellow juggernauts will like this. First off, I love this class, otherwise I wouldn't take the time to think up these suggestions. Start off with the Vengeance tree. It's a pretty well made tree but there's talents in there that shouldn't be and it's missing some small fixes. Draining Scream and Eviscerate - The bleeds these provide, are HORRID. 300 damage over 6 seconds? If anything, this is a dps loss. Please, either revamp the talent, or up the bleed damage considerably. Maybe 600. Nothing huge but make it worthwhile. Huddle - 4% extra endurance and Intercede applies to us as well.. It's deep in the vengeance tree too. This talent is a tank ability, please put it in immortal tree and make lots of end-game Juggs very happy. Replace Huddle with a talent that increases dmg dealt by Impale/Shatter by a set %. Or even better, a talent that when you place a bleed on the target, they get a debuff that makes them take extra damage from your attacks. This would make the bleeds from Draining Scream/Eviscerate worth our skill points. Now for the Rage tree. Force Crush. - Low damage tick every second for 5 seconds with a mediocre final tick for 700 dmg, (Probably 1k at max lvl/full gear?) Ramp up the final tick. Make this the main nuke for Rage tree. It's a slow, so it keeps them within our grasp, and with a 18s cooldown, make me want to use it. Obliterate damage is very small compared to Vengeance tree. At lvl 43 my Impale crits for upwards of 1700-1800, while Obliterate pales in comparison. Yes, it is a gap closer but as far as main damaging abilities go, this is one of them. Ramp up the damage just a bit. Saber Throw talent - Make it so Saber Throw applies a slow for a few seconds when used. Saber Throw's damage sucks. So why not make it something we can use to cripple someone who is about to get away? Immortal Personally, I like this tree and the only thing I'd really change is putting Huddle from Vengeance into this tree. Also, Crash talent. That deep into the Immortal tree? Bring it lower or remove it. Bosses are immune to stun, and a lot of trash mobs I've seen can be too. This is almost useless as the stun really only helps in lvling (Kinda) but is best for pvp, bring it lower in the tree and make it more accessible. All in all, the class just needs tweaking on damage. before people QQ, there are classes that crit upwards of 6-7k while We crit for 2-3k. Our damage is quite mediocre when compared to other classes so we need a slight buff. Especially the vengeance tree dps, needs tweaking. Why give a class the option to be a non-viable dps? If we have a dps tree, make it competitive with other classes. I've been turned down from Flashpoints as a jugg dps cuz they can easily get a marauder who are much stronger dps. The biggest argument people have with hybrid classes competitively dpsing against pure dps is that "They can tank/heal too, pure dps can only dps". While that may be true, pure dps classes have 2 trees unique to their class with the 3rd sharing with the other AC. Mara have Anni/Carnage to choose from and mix n match with Rage if they choose. Juggs have Vengeance only. What do you guys think? These are just rough suggestions so opinions are welcome, just don't start saying "You're bad" or "QQ more" cuz that doesn't help at all. Constructive criticism welcome. EDIT: An ability I know almost all Juggs want is a self-heal victory rush type ability. Something as small as 15% heal would amazing. Make it cost rage for balance reasons and available after a killing blow that yields experience.
  12. Juggernauts aren't built to 2 shot people, we have sustained dmg and survivability.. My jugg felt gimped 30-40 but now at 42 it's easy. PvP is a joke, I top dmg as a jugg a lot of the time and medals too. Then again, it's fun to force push people into traps in Huttball :3
  13. There are plenty of cloaks but very few like in the actual progression video. I have yet to see any armor resembling the black cloak/hood up armor the marauder has.
  14. Unfortunately marauder armor doesn't resemble the progression video till I believe late lvl 40+
  15. I want to make a republic side toon, and was wondering which server is even remotely balanced as far as Republic/Empire ratio? Must be pvp server with a higher population. (Standard/Heavy and up.)
  16. Didn't expect this much response! Thanks guys! Probably will be stopping my Jugg and just switching to Mara for the time being. Then deciding from there which I like more. Who knows, maybe BW might buff SW classes soon? XD From what I hear the only downside to SW classes is the survivability and lack of "open choice" of companions. Playing my Jugg I can use other companions but I have to heal a lot more, with Quinn I can keep going and going. Maybe BW will buff our survivability?
  17. I've played warrior classes in every MMO. I love the warrior type classes, but I know some mmo's they start out severely underpowered since they scale with gear so much. I was just wondering what the general consensus is because tbh I'm not liking Juggernaut too much, I love the SW storyline and I wanna use Jaesa but Juggernauts seem to be slower to lvl and if I get more than 2 strong mobs I have to pop cooldowns which seems stupid.. I see other classes clear 2+ strong mobs like its nothing
  18. I have one question for you guys: Is it worth it? I hear different opinions non-stop and never seem to find a definite answer. Is lvling a marauder fun/easy? Or is it difficult/tedious? All in all, I have a juggernaut and I really want to make a marauder but idk if it's worth it to lvl another SW if the class is "broken" like lots of people state.
  19. When I got the robes from Black Talon, they were just robes, hood down. Did I get the wrong ones or is the hood up only available for females?
  20. Well I've been using Jaesa lately, and I find it's easier when you stick her on one mob and you take another, splitting damage taken. I do plan to go Immortal spec when I hit 40, but I'm really interested in trying marauder too, how effective is marauder lvling with jaesa? I hear they are way squishier and a lot of people said it's way harder without Quinn. Thoughts?
  21. That's what I hate is not really having the freedom to choose which companion you want to use.. As a marauder or juggernaut, you're practically forced to use Quinn so leveling doesn't become a tedious slow task.. =/ I really like using Jaesa cuz she is way easier to please or just as easy as Quinn, but I like the storyline with her. More than Quinns XD
  22. Is it even viable? Personality wise, I like Jaesa as a companion way more than Malavai Quinn, but it seems if I take more than 1 strong enemy it becomes way harder without the heals. At the moment I'm vengeance spec, if I wanna lvl with Jaesa, should I go tank spec and sit in Soresu form to minimize damage? =/
