  1. Bioware, MAKE IT! You know you want to. Since I would react like this: **** AND TAKE MY MONEY!
  2. Jung Ma doesn't seem to have this issue. And I play solely Pub-lican. Its around 40% to 60% back and forth.
  3. There is two threads basically about these two same topics. The simple answer to this issue is: Make the DoT's do more frontloaded damage and have less tick's.
  4. I've played Guardian Def/Vigi since Launch as more of a Off-Tank since launch, so I can say that there are two things I would remove (Because of my own playstyle) is Eviscerate and Draining Scream. Since their very low-power DoT's even with them being free off your normal rotation. I know, free damage is free damage is free damage. But at the cost of 4 points I could put into something else. (Trying somehow to get Sonic Barrier. Since I would run Soresu with either build, and having a free shield for a certain amount of my health helps me be tankier.) Just my opinion.
  5. That is kind of sad. Use to be where it was more of a hazard to derpsweep, since it had quite a bit of skill lag and was very niche'y. In PUG's I can see this as a huge problem (Which is what I have encountered as well in some of the 10-49 bracket, usually see between 3-4 on either team) and less a issue in Premades. (Though still a issue.) I doubt BW will address it though very quickly.
  6. Pain felt, Agreed +1. (Even though I am in some of those premades, I sincerely wish soloQ and PremadeQ were seperate or something.)
  7. I'm looking forward to people not mistaking me for a Focus Guardian when I am a Def/Vig. >_>
  8. I don't think any nerf is on the table for now. And I do not see the main issue, since this has been going on for longer then 10 months to be honest. "lolsmash"ing has been one of the Focus Guardian's...well...focus since day 1 really. "SweepBombing" has been around for awhile, just find a way to deal with it until something is done. And if something is not done, you should really figure out a way to counter it. Goodluck.
  9. Boomarang Saber-Throw +1 Force Leap doesn't really need the AoE. Overall though, I think they need to fix how we get our skills, as it seems to take ages to get any of your abilities that are useful as a Guardian.
  10. Thats fine. Lol. I have had the same issue. But it usually double posts for me.
  11. Thank you Rydel. Now I understand what your saying. And thinking about how you explained it, makes a lot of sense.
  12. You could say it is specialized, for the fact it is not a true tank or a true DPS. Since it sit's right between those two a bit. It doesn't have the full utility of a Tank. Doesn't have the full damage capacity of a DPS. But does have more Survivability then a pure DPS. And has more damage then a full Tank. Or am I wrong?
  13. ^^^^This. The thrill of a fight should be more then enough a reward.
  14. I try to take each loss with a thought of "What could I have done better?" and look to fix that mistake. And wear my lucky hat...
  15. Yes there are a lot of whiner's. Especially on the PvP forums, but not all of them are on here complaining because they got beat/frustrated/pissed off, there are some real concerns about classes. Actual problems need to be addressed, other then complaint's being made. Most come on here just to vent, when it would be better to make a Solution or bounce ideas around to help alleviate the problem until it's fixed (If it is a problem.) One of the main reasons why I want to play a Jedi Guardian was the general consensus that were weak (in comparison to other AC's), and were useless/complicated/frustrating/too complex/too hard. For me, I see it as a personal challenge to try and do good with a class that so many look down upon and call "Lackluster" or the "Underdog.". It's more fun that way! (atleast for me.) PvE players also come on here to complain as well, most are dissatisfied with the fact you can't beat a normal Mob (1 silver + 2 norm's) without losing half your health without running Doc as your pocket healer. That is what the PvE'rs are complaining about.
  16. Thank you Mystry, Tityn and Mongoose. Your answers are really helpful to the questions I posed. And yes, so far I have been really enjoying my Guardian! I love the feel of the "Traditional" Knight feel to the storyline and playstyle. Really looking forward to gaining more levels, questing and PvPing with this AC! Thanks again! @Tityn, yeah, I am use to having a giant bar of buttons to hotkey. (Never used macros) So its a fetish for me to have lots of complicated ways of mashing buttons on my keyboard to do things. I really dislike the 1-button-for-every-situation type of characters, it just goes against how I have been playing for years. Lol. @Mongoose. That build looks really good to me! The Pro's/Con's you put out really help a lot too. It gives both sides as to what its purpose is. Seems like it would be a great PvP build with it's ability to Guard, Retain a Panic Button, Mitigation from Leap and Immune to Snare's/Knockbacks after it, some steady DPS. But it's not a specialized setup, so it is less skilled in any one department. It's like a jack-of-all-trades rather then a pure DPS or Tank build.
  17. Hey Team Awesome of the Light-Stick-Brigade of Kickass. *Cough* Yeah. Less silly. I just wanted to jump on here and make a thread asking a few questions. Since I have spent the last 2 weeks haunting the threads being posted here and trying to get a good grasp on the Jedi Guardian and it's playstyle. So far I have noticed the huge rift between Vigilance and Focus believers, and the fact Guardians are "late bloomers". 1st Question: Are there any established Vigilance/Focus builds? Are there any hybrid builds that have gotten recognition? 2nd Question: Are Sentinels really that much better then Guardians? (Damn you, General Chat.) 3rd Question: Guardians, are they the "Underdog" still? (Even after the buff's/changes to their skills?) 4th Question: After the Surge nerf, is the "Sweep Bombing" style as effective? 5th Question: What tree would have the most complex rotations for the Guardian at the moment? Thanks ahead of time for any answers. Right now REALLY enjoying my Guardian, which has made me have to split a lot of my time between my Vanguard.
  18. Just to me it appears that you get more out of the tree with the added Proc's from Unremitting whenever you Leap. Sooooo, what your saying is the fact that Vigilance uses less GCD's and abilities in order to maximize their potentional then a Focus user? (What I meant by Complexity.) Everybody should be paying attention to a fight mind you. Including what's going on around them. Since, even a Vigilance user should be trying to position themselves as well with Guardian Leap, or reposition enemies with their throw. Where the Focus talented players can try to drop the heaviest Sweep they can on multiple target's, you don't think a Vigilance player would do that too? Albeit they don't get the amazing high crit's. But if I were in the position of fighting a 1v1 or jumping into a crowd of enemies who are attacking/defending a point or one of my allies. I would jump into the crowd and Sweep, then AoE Taunt. (Just like a Focus would do.) So that goes both way's. Just instead of using one ability to maximize our major damage potential, we have to use multiple skills to setup damage. (Plasma Brand, even though everybody thinks it's UP. Its still useful.) Are any of these points invalid? I'm just trying to get a good grasp on what is going down here. And I hope your patient with me. I'm not trying to say Focus is bad or doesn't require skill, it seems though to be far too focused into only one ability for my tastes. That is all.
  19. The only ones I don't like are the Dodge, Mortar and FA issues. But you know about those.
