  1. Leaving a heroic space mission almost always (80% of the time) crashes my client to desktop. I'm assuming this isn't happening to everyone, since I couldn't find a related thread more recent than a year and a half ago. Possible causes: 1) I'm not very good at the heroic missions yet, so I tend to fail them five or six times in a row before leaving or succeeding. I never crash leaving the non-heroic space missions, so I suspect running these over and over without leaving is a factor. 2) I'm using Windows 7 and an older graphics card (Radeon 5700). (Drivers are up to date, but the 5700 series is pretty old at this point.)
  2. Probably Yahtzee's most positive MMORPG review. (That's not saying much, but hey, it's Yahtzee. The only completely positive reviews of his I've seen were for Portal and Psychonauts.)
  3. I'm mildly excited about it. It's a minigame I already play regularly for the in-game benefits - what's not to like about a bit more variety?
  4. I used to love the space missions. Now, well - they're more enjoyable than dailies, and less boring than Taris. Not that either of those is a high bar to clear.
  5. Haven't seen this, and I've been constantly logging out (and onto other characters) while crafting blue and purple Cybertech components in the last few days. Wonder if there's a particular set of circumstances that causes it, or if it just randomly hasn't happened to me yet?
  6. Despite the loss of the profit potential from playing the two markets against each other, I'm looking forward to this.
  7. I'll generally spend an hour (or three) on a name for a new character if the ones I usually use are taken, so I sympathize. Doubt most of mine will be taken, though. (And if so, I guess substituting characters will be a good enough solution.)
  8. Haven't had my characters copied over yet, so I haven't been able to test the legacy stuff. From what I've read here and in other threads, though, I can't see myself ever purchasing any of the new legacy perks. The few I'd be interested in seem pretty pointless if they only apply to one character.
  9. Fixing this problem needs to be the absolute #1 priority for Bioware right now. If they don't get on top of the need for server merges/transfers/cross-server instances in the next month, this game will die. Even people who really like the game (and I'm one of them) will not continue to play an MMO when server population is so low it feels like nobody else is playing.
  10. Heck, yes - I'd love more character slots per server.
  11. At a guess, they don't want to put it on the known issues list because then people will stop reporting it. If they're still trying to find bugs that are causing sound issues, they'll want to look at as many reports as possible.
  12. I'm amazed they haven't done something about this already. Having to reset the available mission list over and over to get even one tier 6 UT metals mission (and I need tons of them, since I have all the professions on one alt or another) has been one of my major crafting annoyances since about week two.
  13. I'd really like to see at least the racial unlocks (and preferably everything but legacy name) be account-wide. I don't want to have to delete characters to start a new set with the unlocked races. (It's possible I'm just an altaholic, but the legacy system seems designed to encourage that - except that it's restricted to eight characters per legacy.)
  14. I'm a bit worried about PvE group/ops viability if all those ammo cost changes go live, but I'll reserve judgement until I'm able to try it out.
  15. From the 1.2 patch notes on the public test server: For now, you can run tier 5 compounds missions to get Red Goo.
