  1. I think you are using a bit of hyperboles in your post, no, you are to the extreme. And the Dev tracker would suffice. I also think your taking my main question in regards to server pop out of context. It's not like I'm asking for information regarding my character, or some side item. It was dealing with server population. And no, I disagree, the information isn't easy to find, especially the Ilum info, watching a youtube video of an interview from a conference? Really? And if there are 74238905 post on the issue as you say, then maybe its time the devs address it here, because clearly a number of other people are having the same issues as me. Either your being WAYYYYYYYY DRAMATIC in your post, or the issue is much, much bigger then I even made it out to be.
  2. A much better link/response. Thank you. Still not really addressing Ilum though, but I think server pops should be priority.
  3. Can you please link this? Seriously, that's what I'm asking. The one link I was given to a third party website did not say "Yes they are, and there being worked on."
  4. Wow, don't post very often, very, very hostile community. Thought my questions were reasonable...guess not.
  5. Yes, that is clearly the case. My server has 4 people, therefore I am special and request special treatment.
  6. Hey, why don't you go look through the community blog and link the server population issue response...oh wait. There isn't one..
  7. Well, no, they haven't fully. I was given a link to a random gaming website in which the answer was essentially "there are options on the table" I see whats happening here is what happens with most post regarding the game in any negative light. The fanboys start attacking the poster/question, and then high-jacking the post.
  8. Again, I think what I'm asking is fairly reasonable: Information regarding some of the bigger issues be addressed...notably low server populations.
  9. And that is understandable, but again, they should address this with their community. I don't have time, or the will, to dig through gaming websites and youtube videos to get the answers to fairly big issues. In today's world of stream lined information and considering they have a twitter and facebook page dedicated to the game they should be able to address these issues directly with their community.
  10. Also, in regards to the dev tracker. ..While from time to time I see a good response or info it seems mostly full of junk. I keep seeing them answer questions related to the vanity pets, that's all in good but while many of us sit on servers with 2 hour que times for WZ's it seems like a rather small issue. Would be nice to see them prioritize and address the bigger issues via the dev tracker.
  11. I'm not going to go through the guild summit videos. I appreciate the information, I wish they would make it a little more clear here rather then through videos on youtube and an interview from a random gaming website. It's pretty understandable that I didn't know either existed. I wish they would clearly discuss at the very least the population issue on the forms with their direct community. Maybe your on a good server, but for those of us on empty servers it's really a big issue. The population problems isn't some small issue, it's fairly big and should be addressed directly with the community. Their information, at least from the article you linked seems pretty wishy washy. I would think the population issues would be more of a priority then say...adding the rakghoul plague to the game..Just my opinion, guess their priorities are different.
  12. Ahh, can you link any/either of these articles? I would love to read them...have seen nothing about it. It seems though that the population issues really should have and should be an absolute priority. Again my server is very, very empty. Oh, and can you do it without the sarcasm, I was not trying to insult your family in my OP, just asking some fairly reasonable questions.
  13. Hello, I've been with ToR since beta. There are two fairly big issues that ToR devs have really refused to comment on in any form at all and I'm curious why. 1: Server population decline: Are there any plans in the works for those of us on servers that have very small populations? On my server right now there is currently 4 people on republic fleet. This is NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS. As we have seen players are flocking to Fatman and Jedi Covenant and fleeing their old, empty servers. Telling us just to re-roll is NOT an acceptable answer. I have two level 50's I've been working on their WZ rank and gear set for awhile now, I'm not going to re-roll but my server is so dead there is only a few hours per week day in which warzones pop. 2: Ilum - Ilum was a complete disaster. I assume you have recognized this by removing the daily/weekly quest surrounding this place. That said, you have made NO mention of any plans to fix or change things on Ilum. This place would provide a solid, end game break from the lack of end game content that currently exist. why not fix it? Or at least tell us what your plans are for it? I would love to hear from the devs on one or both of these issues...I know, unfortunately, its unlikely though as they have shown a reluctance to address either issue.
  14. No...Rerolling really isn't a good response. Some of us worked hard on our characters, some of us want to continue working on our characters. Telling us just to re-roll because "not being 50 is ok" really isn't acceptable. I have 2 lvl 50's and I want to continue working on both of them. Not to mention I don't trust re-rolling because what if the next server I jump to goes empty? re-roll again? I can relate to the OP I'm very casual these days with work, I don't have time nor do I want to re-roll and I should not have to. No thanks. I think there are more reasonable ways to handle this that nearly every single other game in the history of MMOs have had to deal with (server transfer..paid or unpaid, server mergers, cross server ques)
  15. I'm in the same boat as you. I started on my server at release and it had a que time. When I logged in 2 days ago there was a grand total of 4 players on Republic Fleet. I think server populations should take priority as it really, really ruins the gaming experience for high lvl characters when the population is dead, that means NO Wz's, No Ops or Flashpoints, No selling crafted stuff. Re-rolling is not really a logical answer, they should start to combine some of the empty servers and/or offer server transfers.
  16. OP - You have some good points and I agree wholeheartedly. The problem is two fold - Bioware has refused to acknowledge how absolutely terrible Ilum is. It's been completely avoided in both patches and dev discussion for months now except for /stuck which was allowed to persist for months before being fixed. Either Bioware thinks Ilum is fine and great or they have decided at this point it would require a major revamp (not small tweaks as some have tried to argue) and its not worth their time/energy. Next is there is a small segment of the population that fully supports Ilum for reasons I can't comprehend. They are the vocal minority that will hijack your post, that will insult you personally, insult your ideas and praise bioware for Ilum's creation. I am a veteran gamer going back a long way and Ilum has been one of the worst open world pvp areas I've ever seen. From performance to mechanics the whole place is broken and terribly designed. Open world PvP is a lost cause in this game...I hate saying it but thats the way it is. In a game based on such a famous IP for its good vs evil, dark vs light, jedi vs sith storyline with such potential for epic pvp we instead are given huttball and Ilum.
  17. Look I'm not going to argue back and fourth with you because I know this will end with 5000 inquisitors drownding me out calling me names, attacking me on a personal level, etc. This is my last post (work WAHHHHHHHHHHH) I play a scoundrel and I took our nerf like a champ, it was deserved. Sorcs deserve a little tweaking as well (not in a good way) but I don't see that happening because they are really, really a popular class (why do you think that is?) and they are extremely vocal on the forums, more so then any other class.
  18. No - I mean like sorc/sages deflecting to other classes so as to avoid the nerf bat.
  19. lol, I love that the most vocal members of the forum community here are....inquisitors. Yes, most WZs at least half the imp team is inquisitors running around pewpewing lightning and thinking they are le3t for topping out the dmg charts. BIOWARE HAS ADMITTED THE POPULARITY OF INQUISITORS. So stop trying to deny that crap. but, things will never change because they are the most popular class which means they have the most vocal community which means they are able to drowned out the rest of us. It's that way in nearly every community where one segment enjoys an advantage over the others. They are always the most vocal to defend that advantage so they don't lose it.
  20. The people saying its your comp are completely clueless and likely just trolls. While my PC is certainly not "high end" it does run most games really, really well. I have terrible, awful, horrible lag on Ilum when the imp zerg grows large enough. I do however have guildies with top of the line machines that complain of serious lag also on Ilum. From my experience and those of my guildies I find it very hard to believe the people trying to say they have no performance issues on illum.
  21. Illum is crap for all sorts of reasons - zerg fest + awful performance issues + no real objectives + no defensible objectives. But as has been said many times Bioware is very, very proud of Ilum, they think they've created something special and see no real problems with it, which is why in the end the PvPers among us will be long gone when the next AAA is released. Their answer for Ilum is to simply ignore it and give us another WZ. Every time a player trys to discuss how bad Ilum is fanboys show up and make outrageous claims such as "Open world PvP is alive!!!"...
  22. Yes - I believe the OP has a fundamental misunderstanding of the OPness of the Sorc. and a Sorc should NEVER top dps charts...yet..they constantly do.. My favorite quote of all time is bioware say "we were surprised how many people play sorc, guess everyone enjoys shooting lightning." Lol...right, keep telling yourself that's why everyone plays a sorc bioware.
  23. BLASPHEMY! Take your science and math and get out! This is AMERICA and we rely on faith and gut feeling when interpreting things! Facts and numbers only exist to manipulate and confuse! I SHOOT FROM THE GUT and INSTINCT!
  24. OP: I totally agree: having read the reviews by the media I trust of last weekends media closed beta I too think their PvP (WvWvW) looks incredibly fun and refreshing and harkins back to the great frontiers of DAOC in their prime. Ilum and indeed the 3 warzones unfortunatly get stagnant pretty quick, especially when your end game armor revolves around you redundantly spendin gall your time doing them over and over. Ilum has been a complete disaster - I still cannot fathom the people trying to post that its fun or good pvp in any form. People around here should be wise not to underestimate GW2.
  25. You gotta be kidding me? You really think that they are punishing afkers? I'd like to smoke what you are smoking.
