Well if you can't raid, or get mail like I've heard talked about in this thread....then it will be pay to win. Free players won't be able to get the mats needed to augment gear, etc.

So shouldn't the subscription cost drop by 50%? I really think they shouldn't do F2P and charge everyone $5 or even $7.50 a month. But in the end $15 will feel like too much when in the back of your mind you know all these idiots running around aren't paying a dime.

OK so this goes into effect in the fall, let's say October. That's 10 months of subs for me $150. I'll get 1,500 cartel coins. Will this allow me to play high end content and PvP for free using my amassed coins? I'm not willing to pay $15 for half my current content either. I'm going to feel like I'm paying for the F2P people to play. I'll switch to F2P day one. I keep my coins right? PS. Tuesday night sucked BW.....reboot your servers more often! Entire server was complaining about lag. Did you fire the guy that's in charge of reboots each week?

At launch I choose a server and started getting long queue times to log in....so I rerolled on another.....man was I stupid. Things were fine for the first few months. I even had a short queue one night. Now I wait 40+ minutes for a WZ Ah well, there are other fish in the sea.

EA already reported a 25% drop in subs. The free month was simply a ploy to keep that number from being more like 35% or 40%. Not only are subs down, but play time from the remaining subs is down. These things add up to a crap MMO experience for most of us. If they won't merge servers they will have to drop the sub cost or go F2P to bring in new players.

The Ops hate and exaggeration is funny and sad. When these magical Ops kill you in a matter seconds.....one of two things is happening; either they popped every consumable and CD they have and got lucky with nothing but crits.....or you are getting hit by more than just the OPS!!!!! Snipers do wicked DPS and I don't think many people even realize they are there. I've seen a sniper in Huttball set up on the bridge and pull 600K damage with zero deaths! To me that says no one on the other team realized what was happening. All this is assuming you aren't simply out geared.

My cousins friends neighbor said that BW has a secret under-the-table deal with Blizzard where they get money for every person that leaves SWTOR for Diablo. They gonna be rich Tuesday!

Wishful thinking IMO. I really don't see a huge flood of new players unless BW drops the sub or something.

D3 until GW2. <----a foresee a lot of fun there for $120. $15 a month for a SWTOR sub is just too much with so much more out there. Hell I haven't even picked up Mass Effect 3 yet.

To level, have fun and learn the class. Plus on my server it's the only way to get a match without standing around for 40 minutes. Low level is much more active.

Just wait until Tuesday. I predict single digit numbers in the fleet. We hover around 30 now.

The only problem with SWTOR for me is how few people are left on my server, and it's getting worse every week. In two hours I can't even get the PvP daily done most of the time because queue times are so long. Guild recruiting is difficult because there aren't many people out there to recruit.

The hardcore "fans" if you can call them that, left months ago because there wasn't enough to do. They leveled, cleared every operation and got bored.

So do WE get to claim responsibility for the 25% drop in subs? Because that's kind of cool and empowering. Take that EA!

You want BW to somehow punish people for being good and organized? Should BW make it so you can't form groups for FPs as well? Do you even understand what you are saying?

I would love to see these numbers! I play Imperial and I haven't seen anything over 70 since early January....when I should have bailed. We hover in the 40s most evenings.

I agree with OP. Class balance and the new zerg style PvP isn't that bad and gets much better when you have gear. BUT there is a huge hole in SWTOR that is "ruining pvp". Long as balls queue times!

Server specific forums and cross-server PvP are huge holes missing in SWTOR. It's crazy how BW is wasting its resources on the stupid legacy stuff and ignoring core things the game really needs. The legacy things just look like a huge was of credits to me....which I have little of because I get crap credits in PvP now.

100% agree. Give me my laugh back BW! Aside from the cool sound our melee attacks make, it was my favorite part of being an Agent. Just make it so I can hear it, I don't care if others can or not. It really helped me keep my eyes on the fight instead of looking at my bars. We rely on constantly renewing our energy regen buff....why take away one of our tools to do so?

Snipers do good damage, but there are only like 9 of them per server it seems.

500K healing and 170K damage? What a beast! Must have been a long Voidstar and the other team ignored him the entire time. I have seen OPs do 500K healing, but I've also seen a Sorc do 800K in Novar Coast this week....long battle won with 2% left on our shields. That ground AoE heal is OP when everyone is fighting in a little group around the console. Your claim, if true is rare. The Ops healing "buff" was quality of life changes. Our healing output maybe went up a little, but really it's just not as annoying to keep TA up and now our AoE heal actually works.

Who wants to throw little pebbles at people all day or play to earn the grasshopper suit? No body. BW really dropped the ball on this one. I have two ideas: Give you like a $3 credit if you play more minutes on the republic side. That way they won't need to change anything in game. Keep the current crap gear designers and have them design only the empire gear....you know so it's ugly and no body wants it. Then hire new GOOD artist to design gear for the republic....so that everyone will want it. But the entire imperial side in grasshopper suits and maybe some will switch.

I agree with you. BW dropped the ball on end game gear. Watch the movies again and put us back in that universe! Not some crazy place where Jedi Knights dress up like robotic grasshoppers and my agent looks like he got his gear at a second hand store in Ohio.
