  1. going to repeat what I posted before/elsewhere. Give us a "sub appreciation token" once per month. One token counts towards a bronze item, two to silver, and three to a gold. The appreciation part comes in that we can choose to buy any item which is either sold directly or available by random chance without a risk. So if you have your heart set on a specific gold item you can get it in three months
  2. well my sub runs out next week and I going to preferred for the time being. The new cartel market packs are not benefiting subscribers. I am still of the opinion we need a sub token, which one buys any bronze item, two buy a silver, and three buy a gold. The key is that they buy any item possible from a random pack and don't have to take a chance on obtaining what they want. btw, how many characters will I have active after going preferred? Is it two or six?
  3. an abysmal sale which only compounds the issue that the swtor team knows little if nothing about incentivizing gambling based purchases. There is no logic behind the pricing of armor packs other than greed and preying on stupid customers. When you can buy an armor set direct for the same price this removes the incentive to buy a random chance at it. I know, but what about sets that aren't currently directly available. Just wait, wait for them to become market items or wait for someone else to not make the mental connection and sell it on GTN. To incentivize gambling, and this is real money gambling, they costs of gold armor packs must be low enough so that the purchaser always feels they have a chance to win. This means they have to be significantly cheaper than direct sales. The only built in defeat mechanism is that many items declared gold and silver quality obviously do not have that appeal to players
  4. Probably repeating another response however my opinion is such. All Armor, Weapon, Vehicle, and Pet, packs are vastly overpriced because there are just too many possible outcomes. The weapon and pet packs should be no more than 50cc. As for the bronze, silver, and gold, packs the could use a twenty five percent reduction. Mount packs need to be half of what they are. What I would pay 1000cc for is a Platinum pack, whose contents is determine by market pricing. Meaning it will contain an armor or vehicle from the top 25 most expensive GTN sales.
  5. Honestly I am getting real tired real fast of the slog that leveling has become. I like my class story but damn if I want to do whatever planetary quest line outside of that that is now required. There is already a silly amount of travel as it is without having to spend time going back and forth and back and forth as many of these require. So what exactly is the benefit over preferred now?
  6. frankly the new system just sucks. I don't like half the listed flashpoints but if I deselect even one I cannot get rewards. Worse, I enjoyed certain ones and now getting into them apparently isn't an option unless I get it by chance or possibly get three others, not even sure that would work. Plus I did like the entry level flashpoints and some of their gear for xmog but apparently I cannot do that now? Solo doesn't have drops and I have tried tactical versions yet but honestly, over all its the worst change I have found in the expansion. As for dragging groups down, threatened kick in more than one simply because I admitted I was new to the FP... really great community we got going - NOT
  7. they can only do that as they open new markets, what is really important is retention of those who bought it. Churn is the important value, not total subs
  8. I am gone after what they have done to the game. No restrictions on colors of crystals, force powers for anyone (I don't give a **** its only ever twenty minutes), no race and class restriction to include faction cross over. This isn't Star Wars anymore. Lore Whore, call me what you will, but they just jumped the shark. To think I though Blizzard was being silly with Pandas.... Bioware had to just take lore and shove it out the nearest airlock
  9. People have already automated space missions, I see no reason to not have macros in this game, especially with the obnoxious number of abilities we have stuck with cool downs. Macros could seriously mitigate the number of icon I need on my bars like it did for RIFT
  10. Someone get the Fonz! Bioware has jumped the shark!
  11. More like a huge middle finger to the Lore Whores
  12. Yeah, the textures on the LOTRO guy's armor are night and day better. LOTRO - land of walking dead, the npcs walk as if they have a load in their pants and have no expressions and use a restrictive animation engine. However character models are good and their armor textures stomp SWTOR into the ground.
  13. They also didn't suffer from as many dead servers two months in, in fact they were constantly GAINING people unlike this game. SWTOR : Yet another pretender, now with light sabers
  14. LOL. total opposite for me as well. From a polished interface, player friendly environment, to great environments. Did I mention the customizable interface? Did I mention the player friendly environment? The lack of punitive travel? The lack of having to compensate for the worlds worst AI by stock EVERY SINGLE quest with strong or elite mobs? So obviously you didn't play much, I will admit the werewolf section is a bit rough on those used to crap like this game
  15. What did you expect, fanbois have uber rigs and drive ferraris when not playing the game.
  16. Its like ever other quest in this tiresome game. They have no skill., they resort to ******** elite mobs with bogus abilities. For those of us who game for a great story we are just ****ed.
  17. I always got a chuckle from the "handguns" the bridge officers of the Black Talon had on their hips.
  18. and most likely having a resurgence of players after they had seen this game and wondered, what would Star Wars be like if the world was truly free. Instead we are stuck with a "Choose your own Adventure" style game where there is zero freedom. Hell, the time I am most impressed with my characters are during cut scenes. Then I get depressed remembering when I am allowed to play my character they are never that awesome, not even close.
  19. Reading that was like, DUH This is a filler game, no more. I spent hours on one planet and I was the only person to chat!!!! Here is a hint, if you do not want to disappoint yourself with the lack of community DO NOT have chat timestamps turned on. Combat still sucks, probably because companion AI is so bad. So bad its laughable.
  20. Maybe it just is a problem with melee companions, but far too many times they don't fight. Oh they want to but they just get stuck on something and nothing short of putting them on passive will even move them till combat is over. It is so not fun watching the pathing of your companion and realize, damn - that was a waste of ten seconds. I have had instances where I had to dismiss one to fix them. Then there is that irratating ability of them to stand where you don't want them, why aren't companions invisible to right click?
  21. I thought it was a travel driven MMO. As in the developers proving how big of dick heads they can be with more and more punitive travel.
  22. Oh goodie, same stupid excuse. Really dude try better. I don't care if a thousand people jump off a bridge, it still doesn't make it good. I don't care how other game's launched, it still does not excuse the tripe we put up from this development team; well calling them that is being generous to say the least - mroe like hacks.
