  1. I think last week was handled wrongly. If you come out with a rewards system, then you need to keep it that way for the week. Intended BT runs being repeatable or not, they should have left it in until the end of the week. Some guilds had days to farm that and others didn't get any time. On top of that they need to put in a lockout system for PvP (both ground and space) to avoid the self queue drops. Good luck to everyone in Week 3!
  2. I've tanked for a while so i know the mechanics etc. I jump in do my aggro rotation, taunt, rotation, aoe taunt, etc.... It just started recently (within the last couple weeks). My computer/connection has never had lag issues. Both juggernauts in our guild noticed it. Just checking to see if anyone else has.
  3. Have noticed for the past couple of weeks that taunts seem buggy. Having problems hold threat in general. Also, when i taunt sometimes about 2-3 seconds after i do it, i lose aggro. The taunts should be 6 seconds. Anyone else that plays Jugg tank in ops noticed anything recently?
  4. Cobramarauder - Marauder - Carnage - [uMBRA] guild - 5 minutes 2 seconds - 3292 parse
  5. I'm using this currently: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101RrGzuzrdfzZcMzZMM.1 But I think that the points in shield spec could be moved.. (could put more in dreadnaught and unleashed - if you do a lot of pvp could be useful)
  6. I play as Tank in PvE a bit, but also pvp a lot. I was worried about 1.2 coming out and needing to spec out of immortal a bit, but I was wrong. So far this build has been incredible in survivability and the dps is decent (+ all the utility of course). Anybody that plays both PvE and PvP as a jugg and wants to tank should give this a try. Of course in DPS gear for PvP.
  7. I agree fully. I thought my jugg was dead in pvp (since I use him as a MT for OPs). Decided to join a few games for fun. I don't know if it is the gear difference now (I'm full BM) with the upgrade on BM, upgrade to ravage, or what but I finally feel like a TANK in pvp and doing decent damage using an immortal spec.
  8. Well, War leader gear is pretty much worthless (except against a few specific classes). That is why you see most people going the DPS route. They are supposed to be fixing this in the future? The spec you want is up to you, personally I am running 34/5/2. As for gear, the vindicators is a better choice for us right now b/c of how the def stats on war leader seem to not help much. The only times I switch into War leader gear is for huttball at the beginning of the match (until we cap 1-2 times), or the initial rush into Civil War (I decoy mid usually), or on Void star when we are defending the doors. I do this mostly for the extra HP ~3k more in War leader. Survivability seems to be close no matter what set I'm in.
  9. Since most ppl seem to think the BM gear is crap, what is the alternative? Are people stripping the champion gear and putting it into the BM?
  10. 15k is fine for BT, but is kinda low in general. If you have a good healer, it doesn't really matter. Also, you can learn some tactics to not take all the dmg but still tank main bosses and keep your group alive (let things go after other players and taunt them back, etc..). Try and beef up your endurance, shield, absorption, defense through the GTN or by getting PvP gear while you are working on PvE gear. The biggest thing for Juggs tanking, is the player's skill in general. The bads will complain about no AOE taunts, the good juggs know how to use "all" of their CC and rage skills to maximize the class. Don't be afraid to get in there and do it. A good healer can make up for a new tank. And you will learn tricks as you keep doing the HMs. P.S. Don't get discouraged if people get frustrated with you tanking. It takes a LOT of practice with a Jugg to learn the situations and what to use when in them.
  11. Depends on the makeup of the group (ops). A tank that knows how to attack right w/ healers that know what that person is doing can be deadly and completely change a battle. Many times I have told my healers that I would be the one initiating and to try and watch me. Also, I tell the DPS to step forward while I am pushing and try and AOE on their group. If I die, fine.. as long as our group does their job we will still win the battle.
  12. Just be glad you are getting champ commedations. Battlemaster is the same luck for some people without getting any chance at BM gear. They should have made it so that each bag opened gave BM commedations + champ commedations, and then gear cost the same as champion works now
  13. If they change it, I hope they dont change it much. I tank HMs and have almost no problem holding aggro. Occasionally, I have to tell DPS to wait about 3 seconds before hammering on a boss, but that's it. You have all of the following abilities to control enemies... Charge, Smash, Choke, Push, Backhand, AoE taunt, Single Target Taunt, AoE stun They are mostly on short cooldowns if you are Tank spec. Use them wisely and you can hold aggro through almost anything (excluding occasionally on multiple bosses if DPS starts early)
  14. probably rage spec (or w/e the JK equivalent is). They open up with a flurry. But after that they are pretty much spent. Survive initial burst heal and then the fight shifts in your favor.
  15. As was stated before, in an ideal world you would see what the opposing team did and work off of that. However, I've found most PvP players are not capable of thinking and reacting rationally on their own. Most people just want to hit closest player as much as possible. As imperial I try and make it as easy as possible for my team (3 left - east, 4 right - west, I go mid as a decoy). Usually I can last about 30-45 seconds on mid against 4 other players which gives my team enough time to cap sides. If we lose one of the sides for some reason I tell my team to switch to mid (as its the easiest one to take from the opposing team)
