  1. Just finished it about 10 minutes ago, same here didn't get the points.
  2. Well, honestly, this is very good, but as far as quality of life goes, you should give us the option to remove the planet/stronghold ownership message, it's too long, too big, and for those who don't care who owns what it gets old very fast. Thank you in advance. And for those who would want to say that they farmed it so they earned it, yeah you earned the ownership of the zone, i am not denying that, what you will never earn however is my screen and what should/should not appear on it.
A bon entendeur.
  4. How and why i am still here even though i am a founder ? Simple, from the very beginning i never believed Swtor was an MMo, for me it's Just an RPG with a multiplayer feature, that i play with maximum 3 or 4 IRL friends and that is all. I play Swotor as if it was kotor 3, Just for the Story, the same way i still play Kotor 1 and 2, the same Way that i play Skyrim (minus the mods). I don't play the game all Year long, no, i navigate between multiple games, but when i come on swotor to do a few playthrough and see the new story arcs, i pay my subs, and 3 month after i get bored and switch and go to Me3 multi or Skyrim or Endless space, and then i come back... I don't switch games because i don't like it, I actually like it very much, but since i am not treating it like an MMo, i am not staying inside full time.
  5. Yes, and there are laws inside of countries, but guess what, a Jury can pronounce a verdict in total contradiction of these law, purely based on their view of morality, it's called Jury nullification of law. This is their way of saying that the Law is Unfair. "because they are the rule" is not an argument, in fact it is the opposite of an argument, and posting in these forums is the only voice we have, so why should we stay silent ?
  6. if yo have read the thread a little, you know we were not talking about what the people who participate in this event does in game, they just play with the possibility they are given. What i, and others were talking about when we talked about bully mentality, was both the way it was developped, and the way some people here on the forum defends the Event. It's a blame on the victim : you didn't want to participate, you should have paid 2000 cr, what difference is there in mentallity than a bully who blames his victim for being at the wrong place and wrong time, there is none, the scale may be different, but the thought pattern remain the same.
  7. The consequences are not the same, it is true, but the bully mentality is the same, and that i know better than anyone.
  8. I was one of them for a time, so yes i have the audacity.
  9. Simply put, when the Bounty contract week comes, you can hunt or you can just disregard it, same for the Gree event. With the Rackghoul you can't, the event Forces you to take a part in it or Forces you to pay 2000cr every 6 hours for not playing a part in it. If i were to use a real life analogy like the people who like these event so much that they are ready to shove it down our throats, it is like an army conscription, you are either part of the military for a period of time, or you have enough money to pay yourself out of it. Expept this is a game, actually made for enjoyment, and when you don't find the event fun or attractive, paying 2000cr to not be a part of it is feels like a punishment. This event has the mechanism of a school bully : you didn't want me to throw your book on the ground ? you should have bought a bag then.
  10. Your analogy was a good one ? if you really think that you should probably send me a sample of what you are smoking right now, i don't know what it is but i really want some. Furian said it, you can't compare an enterainement with a neccesity. For the last 2 references, no i haven't seen them, but it really doesn't change anything.
  11. And i have modded them both to the extent that they have nothing more than their names telling what they were at the origin. Anyway your analogy with driving is irrelevant, this is a game, and a game is developped, it can be adapted and changed, real life can't
  12. All of my fun during this event is posting them.
  13. Your fun is ruinning the fun of others Our fun is based on the fact that we just want to be left alone It does not matter if your opinion is wider than ours, the opinion of a bully no matter how many they are is still a bad opinion. Actually you are wrong, for the next week, i don't feel like i want to play, so i have nothing better to do than "whine on these forums" Why ?, because a part of this event spoils my fun, and when it spoils my fun, i don't feel like to play, so, i come here whining, and hoping that our combined whining gets vocal enough so that at the very least the vaccine gets free. Principle of realism ? Really ? This is a game made by Electronic Arts you are talking about, a compagny that ****s with logic more often than you hear the B word per breaking bad episode, which in this case is rather an advantage. Get yourself together, dude, this is a game, you only take the realism you need and discard the rest, that is common sense. Encouraging people to play an event is not done by using the stick, it's done by using the carrot, use the stick for something they don't want and you make them flee (good thing the event is temporary), it's as simple as that, and the guy who thought otherwise and ordered this to be develloped has to be a really big *** moron. Being left along should not inconvenience you at all if this event was done right, istead it is us who are inconvenienced, and i return you why should we have to be inconvenienced because of you ? Because you are more numerous ? this is the argument of a bully. Instead of blaming the victims For once Do the Right thing : Blame the Bully
  14. you didn't read did you ?, so i'll have to autoquote myself : You shouldn't have to pay to opt out, hell you shouldn't even have to opt out, it should literally ask you if you want to participate. Having to opt out is a problem Having to PAY to opt out is an even greater problem. Like i said it's a question of principle Feel free to tell me again that paying 2000cr is supposed to solve the problem.
  15. It depends on wether you are paying 2000 credit to participate in something (like repairing your stuff) Or Paying 2000 Credits to NOT participate on something that annoys you. Clearly it is not a question of credits, it's a question of principle. The simple fact that it is "opt out" instead of "opt in" is bad thinking from those who conceived it, but the fact that you have to pay to opt out makes it unquestionably unbearable. For me this mission where people interfere with your gameplay without you having a say about it, is the same as using an exploit to force you into PvP when you are questing peacefully, This quest that consist on infecting other players shoud not exist to begin with.
  16. Me too, but there is right and wrongs, in what you say, unfortunatelly, there are more wrongs, than rights. This one is right, i won't discuss it further. This one is right too, let's go to where you get something wrong. This one is extremely Wrong, UI was Highly customisable in SWG, you could choose the color theme, resize nearly All Windows to fit your needs. which is still not dooable in SWTOR Skill Tree in early SWG was Extremely Free, and you could basically dabble a Master Teras Kasis, with a Master Rifleman. After the NGE, the class were locked and there were only 2 specialization in the Expertise, most of wich served no purpose ( the Dark Exprertise on the Jedi was way inferior to the Light One with the 10k self Heal, which permited a Jedi to be a Tank, a self Healer, and a DPS at the Same time, it was the only Build that permitted to completely solo the HK 47 Instance on Mustafar.) Planets, sounds and World are not the Same In SWTOR there is no Naboo, there is no Rori, there is no Talus, there is no Kashyyk, there is no Mustafar, there is no Dantooine, There is no Lok. As much as In SWG there was no Voss, there was no Belsavis, There was no Korriban, There was no Thyton, there was Dromund Kaas, there was Coruscant, there was no Ilum, there was no Makeb and Hoth Was not a planet, Just an Heroic Instance. In SWG Worlds were way larger than any planet in Swtor, smaller ones were 12 square Kilometers, they Were Sandbox randomized hostile NPC and mobs in most non City zone, and you could build player made City on them, i Still Fail to see where that makes SWTOR and SWG the Same. Combat Wise, in all version of SWG There were Way less Skills than in swtor, First all skills had the Same cooldown, and Pré Cu yo even Had a combat queue which permited you to choose 4 skills and eat a sandwich at the same time. All the Skills needed to Fight in SWG could be stored in 12 slots, you used the rest mostly to swich equipement, or call your speeder. SWTOR is way more complicated combat wise, there are interupts, you can move your opponent from the place he is, combat Wise SWTOR is Way more Dynamic, and in term of Range combat, SWG was very Dull in comparison. Swtor is a lot longer to Lvl up to the Max level than SWG was, in Swtor, you have to Follow your main quest, the planetary quest, use Space combat, and for PvPers Warzones, even with all that playing like a Hardcore Gamer and you do nothing else than levelling it will still take you a good Week. In SWG Pré Cu and Pré NGE there were a lot of shortcuts usable and basically you could mount a Full master (Non Jedi, Jedi was an Unlockable Alpha Class, so it is a different story) a Day if you prepared it correctly. Pré Cu there was Sologroup, And AFK fight in zone where mobs repop fast (Canyon corsair on lok was where i made a Full Master a day). In the CU, there were the Area Group against dewback on Tatooine (We did that in a Player created City called Mos Veros on the Kauri server), and of course for the first 2 weeks of the CU there was 2 Xp (Triple For Chimera server) and the fact that you could respec Points of your build to take more advanced skills with the Xp of the lesser ones. In the NGE there were multiple Repeatable Quest you could Use to lv UP very fast, First the Arena champion on Kashyyk, then The Anteana in the PvP zone in Restuss in which there were a large flock of players leveling there. Levelling a Crafter was also far more faster in SWG than in SWtor, first, ressources were so abundant that they were cheap, and then ressources whose quality was unfit for craft could still be used to lv Crafting. In the NGE leveling Craft could be done un 4 to 5 hours if you made a Structure Trader and then respeced it to whatever trader you needed. Levelling in less than 3 Days was never a real problem in SWG even if you didn't played like a Hardcore Gamer. Stronghold decorating the same basically the same as SWG, this is a sad Joke. First, there is only 2 paintings in SWTOR, there were more than 60 in swg You could rotate Item in all of the 3 Axis, there were no Hooks, and Every Item in SWG had a 3D model that could be dropped in a house, you could drop items in a certain way that created Unique Decorations, a Fireplace Made with a City Brasier and concrete sub components used for created Houses, Or Aquarium Made with Glass subcomponents, Fish you could fish in actual lake, place every Armor and Weapon as Decoration. I stayed 8 years on SWG and Had 7 Toons over 3 accounts, i perfectly knows the difference between these 2 games, saying they are basically the same thing is like telling me you are a few screw lose of a Droid.
  17. Do what i do with the conquest system ..... Sell Overpriced Grade 7 Material for all the people that craft their Dark Projects.
  18. 99 Item is usually enough for a game where gathering ressources and crafting is practically inexistant. But as soon as you start a game where crafting things become a part of the economy, then a stack of 99 of a ressource becomes an outdated game mechanics, if you look at it from an objective point of view, a lot of Swtor secondary game mechanics are either completely devoid of logic or prehistoric in their design. Here is screenshot of Star Wars Galaxies : http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_M34S-N-gT04/SnmS1pRQxWI/AAAAAAAAAZo/Vjb4NBPx7Hg/s400/hopper3.jpg In the inventory you can see the "k" that stand for thousand (the yellow number was the quality of the ressources), this one is a late screenshot, at the begining of the game you could have a stack of 100k ressources, we found it not enough, but it was mathematically 10 000 times better than what we have in swtor. These prehistorically or illogic secondary game designs does not mean the game is bad, the game is in fact enjoyable, it means that the game could be Way better than what it is now. A little more "sandbox" point of view in their over restrictive game mechanics would make the game a world with a mindset more free than what it is.
  19. They have earned the Right to own a planet, they will never earn the right to own my screen. They have earned the Right to use Mounts that only conquerors can use on said planet, they will never earn the right to polute my User Interface. And to be clear the message also appear when NO guild controls a planet, so the damn message is annoying wether a guild control the area or not, so this is not even a question of guild reward or not, it is just a question that Bioware ****ed with the UI too much .... again.
  20. Kaas and Coruscant are already Fully unlocked for me, they are what i wanted in housing, both of them looks luxurious and Polished, hi-tech in kaas, Marble in coruscant. Even though i got 3 free Rooms with nar shadaa, i won't be unlocking any room, i don't like the color theme (Dark Gold) and the "roundish" layout, it really looks too "underworld" for my taste. Not going to buy Tatooine at all, Visited a public one, and it is like every tatooine house, the floor and walls looks cheap and dirty, in a way they are "iconic" of tatooine, but that is clearly not the idea i have of a luxury house, it is a complete concentration of everything i don't like in the most expensive bundle, even if i was offered it completely i would not lay a foot there.
  21. /Agree We can fit as much Speeders and pets into our "Astral Multiplan Condensation Pockets" as we want but we can't have more than 4 keys of others people's house. That is not just limited, that is very retarded. But hey, that is Electronic Arts we are talking about, so F-Word Logic as always.
  22. I don't know for the Flagships, but for the personal stronghold of dromund kaas, coruscant and nar shadaa i am positive that you can see the whole planet chat.
  23. Let's face it, General chat in every planets are filled with people spamming for their Heroic Missions, their asking help, or just trolling. When you go in your ship to enjoy the same level of utility than in the fleet with the Quietness of a separated chat added, it truly is bliss to not see a general chat filled with people advertizing their guild, spamming to sell items or group research for operations. Then why do we have to suffer the planetary chat when we are in our stronghold ? A stronghold is also supposed to be a quiet place, where you should be able to avoid the spam of the planet itself. Not only that but when you are talking with other people who also are in their stronghold you generally talk about decorations, and you disrupt the planetary chat for the other player. I believe having a separated chat would be the better option for everyone.
  24. /signed. I want to see the companions in real even if i am not on the right character.
