  3. That's what I thought, assumptions stacked on assumptions. Worse than someone guessing at individual dps inside a group without a meter. You don't have data beyond counting on your fingers the number of players you personally know of, no one besides the devs does and they'll share player activity numbers when the game is closed down and they're in another job. Maybe. No one is hating on you for your fear of being bent over by mercs in pvp, no one ever asked to hear about that. I'm stating you have nothing of substance to claim a "large %" of players are in NiM.
  4. So this 7.1.1 update is planning to change that list to include Operatives as having an AOE DR again on a short CD like most other classes. Very frequently available with targeted perks to get faster Evasion and more Evasions. Sorc and Merc will join that list eventually? Everyone had their 30 or 60% AOE DR before 7.0 and the operations didn't lose high damage AOE phases. Some classes simply got stripped of AOE DR. Sorc has a mess of generic DR on various CD but no specific AOE DR. Maybe the generic DR options justifies no AOE DR? Maybe. Meanwhile Merc has exactly 1 DCD which reduces damage from AOE (or DoT) in the form of 25% generic DR on a 120s CD in Energy Shield. They lost 30% AOE DR (perk passive which also had 30% stunned DR) and also 30% DoT DR (after using cure perk) going into 7.0 and all of that was replaced with nothing.
  5. Gold mats are continuing to rise in price. This has had the effect of removing 77 augments from the GTN (DM) Why? There's a cap of 1 billion and the mat price is pushing the aug price out of the GTN cap. People are trading in person not just to avoid taxes but because they have to.
  6. I can't recall what gets counted towards healing. But Shield Probe is a temporary health type defensive which gives you X value of invisible health and you take 0 damage until the ability runs out or the temporary health absorbs it's own value in damage. Other identical mechanics are sorc bubbles, jug Endure Pain(except the fake health is visible on your healthbar which screws with healers since it vanishes after 20s if not consumed) and pt tanks using Emergency Power which gives 1.6mhp invisible health for 3s.
  7. So now this has happened and had even longer to settle... Prices of RPM/OEM have risen considerably (DM) and have NEVER been higher. 150-200m is common. 77 augments are back to the GTN credit cap of 1 billion. The only silver lining is that a player can, in a realistic timeframe and manner, obtain the mats themselves and do their own crafting.
  8. I didn't specify any parse. I linked an entire website. There's over 40 carnage/combat parses for 7.1: https://parsely.io/parser/leaderboard/all/carnage/6500000/all/live/1/ "dot" anything would need to be doing 40,000+dps on 6.5m dummies to be 10k ahead and it's not the case. There's nothing else I'm arguing, maybe it does play like **** but 10k worse is not the case.

    No. If you have a guard link with another player it prevents you and that other player from being part of another guard link. However you could have clicked off the guard from the jug and used your own.
  10. The most expensive real gear item is a gold augment. Took me about a month to collect 140 OEM / RPM after they had their costs reduced. That's more than needed for a whole set. Maybe enough for 2 if lucky. Or many sets if you only need to do a few new pieces to create a new set for a different class/spec. No need to be a billionaire, just need to throw some chars doing conquest grade content at it.
  11. NiM pugs are a mashup of people from various NiM raid teams who like extra raiding outside their main runs. To use the phrase "pick up group" to describe the competence level is flawed.

Using the raid buff is a DPS loss Innovative Ordinance 10 stacks of Supercharge can be converted to ~150,000 damage in the form of - Supercharged Burn ~100k value - DoT buff, autocrit on the next Mag Shot (implant bonus), 10 heat vented ~50k value Vs Supercharged Celerity = converting 10 stacks of Supercharge to 10% alacrity for your group for 10s. The group has to gain ~150,000 damage from that alacrity just to break even and gain substantially more than 150,000 damage to make it worthwhile. Meanwhile their IO mercenary starts at 0/10 stacks to use their #1 damage ability.

  17. It's quite slow to do it like that but it's entirely up to you. You have weekly upgrade boxes for: VM fp up to 330 green MM fp up to 330 blue PVP up to 328 purple GSF up to 328 purple Then you have every weekly operation mission granting an upgrade crate up to 330 green/blue/purple depending on sm/vm/mm Then you can transfer the same set of gear to an alt and do as many weekly upgrade boxes on that as you like. Then after running out of alts for weekly upgrade crates you can think about spending currency. The boxes are not RNG, they will upgrade your lowest piece. You can use this to guarantee that X item is upgraded to the colour you want.

Are you randomly choosing a number and saying you want it PVP got raised from 326 cap to 328 and now augments are allowed Turbo casual players got raised from 326 green (conq) to 330 green (conq) Casual players got raised from purple 326 (pvp) to 330 blue (mmfp) Slightly competent players got raised from purple 330 (nefra farm) to purple 331 (334 implants) Serious PVE teams got raised from purple 330 (still nefra ) to blue and purple 340 (r4 VM) If you can't be bothered to even pug the easiest NiM boss what's the logic of you getting that grade of reward.
  20. Such odds of getting the loot with just free rolls I will happily guess that trillions of credits will be destroyed by the casino in this event. You don't have to spend billions to win at space barbie but it helps enormously.
  21. So? An item which is legacy never needs to be bought again. Each cosmetic emperors item deletes millions from the game and to equip multiple you must obtain multiple which means someone even if it's not you has to burn credits from their pocket to obtain it.
  22. All cosmetics should be bind on equip. The economy is screwed because there's no credit sinking and the MAJOR money moving items are cosmetics.
