  1. Just to interject a little G-Canon into the discussion, here's what Lucas had to say on the subject in the AotC commentary. Obviously "more powerful" doesn't always mean "better", since the dark side obviously has a number of drawbacks that aren't present on the light side. But in terms of power, there's a reason that people who pursue power turn to the dark side.
  2. As somebody with a 50 Operative and 50 Mercenary, both heal spec, I already considered BH/Trooper healers to be slightly worse off than Operatives and significantly worse off than Sorcs. This decision astounds me. The only people complaining about Trooper healers were people trying to 1v1 them. They're great 1v1, that doesn't make them good party healers.
  3. I wish all DPSers were as honest as you. I disagree with your opinion - I enjoy healing in PvP because I enjoy the support role and team-based dynamics in PVP, but at least you're honest about what you want. Most players who complain about healing will do so no matter how much the scales are tipped in favor of DPS. This is a far more DPS-friendly game than Warhammer or WoW, where there was no trauma debuff at all, yet people still complain, because they don't think that healthbars should ever go back up in PvP. It's not surprising. Most of the PvP community gravitates towards DPS classes, because the mindset of wanting to kill other players and wanting to DPS tend to go hand in hand.
  4. Wait, Surge doesn't affect heals anymore? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!
  5. There's also one more thing to consider - if the Emperor were truly dead, I doubt the surviving Sith would be "trying to cover it up". More likely, there'd be a race to fill the power vacuum. We've already seen Malgus, Baras, and Jadus try to make powerplays to control the Empire. For a Sith, the news that your superior is dead is the best news you could possibly receive.
  6. Scoundrel's Dodge doesn't remove all effects either...at least, it's bugged right now. It doesn't always work.
  7. Marauders already have Vanish, genius.
  8. Then what the hell do Assassins/Shadows need Force Speed and pull for?

    Healers in PVP...

I'm pretty sure the OP was being sarcastic/satirical...
  10. Yeah, I did. He's not a council member though, but I edited it into my post. I'll give you the Emperor though, that's a pretty substantial setback. There are a ton of Jedi that can die throughout the story on the Imperial side, though - Orgus Din (not part of the Imperial story), two Jedi Masters on Corellia (leader of the Green Jedi + a Zabrak Master who survived the siege on the Temple), Ashara's masters and Nomar Organa in the Inquisitor story, Jaesa's Master in the Sith Warrior story, Kai Sazen and Ardun Kothe in the Agent story. It's not like the Jedi Order didn't take heavy losses too, though I can't say how heavy without knowing exactly who's on their council.
  11. How do you figure, exactly? The JK and the JC had nothing to do with the loss of Imperial Intelligence. That was the Star Cabal. On the subject of "losing their insider" info...yeah, not so much. Nobody has more information than Cipher Nine - even if you accept the "Republic double agent" ending as canon, there's still the possibility of Cipher Nine being a triple agent and remaining loyal to the Empire, since we know that you never change factions. On the subject of the Dark Council - frankly, the Empire killed as many, if not more, Dark Council members than the Republic. Thanaton and Baras were defeated by the Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor. Jadus was defeated by the Imperial Agent. Sith Warrior - Vengean/Baras Imperial Agent - Jadus/Zhorrid (canon is iffy on this one - if you pick the "top choice" the Agent activates the Eradicators and defeats Jadus - regardless, in all but one of the four endings, Jadus is defeated, and if you pick that option you get to kill Darth Zhorrid anyway) Sith Inquisitor - Thanaton JK - Acharon/Hadra The Republic - Darth Decimus There are a bunch of non-council Darths that get taken out on both sides, sure. The Bounty Hunter has the chance to take out a couple, the Agent has the chance to take out a couple when he grabs the Codex, the Sith Warrior pretty much spends his entire story hunting down rogue Darths, the Inquisitor takes out Skotia and Palladius, off the top of my head. Certainly the Republic classes take out a few as well, like Lachris and Angral, but I think it's pretty even on both sides...and all the Imperial classes get the opportunity to kill at least a couple of Jedi, as well. --------- To answer the OP, I'd give the edge to the Sith Inquisitor (Lord Kallig) for raw power over the other three. In addition to being essentially immortal, due to the ghosts, the Inquisitor has done some things that I've just never seen any other Sith do. For example, on Nar Shaddaa, his force connection is severed. He recovers from this in a matter of seconds, and proceeds to completely thrash the guy who tried it.
  12. Out of curiosity, do you proofread what you post? You admit you can kill healers in a warzone as long as they don't have another healer healing them - aka, a 2v1 situation. So let me get this straight - not only should DPSers be able to solo healers, they should be able to solo two healers? The logic that healers should die just as easily as any other class only makes sense if they can kill just as easily as any other class. A good player will never die to a healer in a 1v1. You always have the option of just running away from the fight, and they won't have the DPS to stop you.
  13. Bright Wizards = Sorcs Sounds about right to me.
  14. First off: Sorcs/Sages are the alpha class right now, so I'm not sure what your complaint is there. Second of all: The classes are meant to be balanced in this game, you're not supposed to have an advantage just by being a force user. Third: The Non-Force Users of this era are ******. The Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent have the opportunity to take out more than their fair share of Sith and Jedi throughout their stories. You don't see this as much with the Trooper and Smuggler, but it's still there to a certain degree.
