  1. That shouldn't be news to anyone as they've said multiple times they aren't doing cross server queues because of "technical limitations". Here's a dev post from last year saying that: http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=6398419&postcount=6 and I'm sure there's been other instances but that was the first one that popped up on a search. Granted, it doesn't say "not now, not ever" but...you're going to be waiting a very long time would be my guess.
  2. Roll a tank/healer if you want to do flashpoints that badly instead of demanding that everyone else tank/heal for you. DPS have had this idea that they deserve to run flashpoints on demand since GF came out and I don't know why that is since there's 87 DPS for every tank who does flashpoints, and 83 of them suck balls. Flashpoints aren't worth it once you're in the end game. There's nothing in a flashpoint I want, I don't need the comms since I'm regularly pulling the NiM dreads with my guild, so why would I waste time queuing up for what will at best be a boring, clean run through ancient content and at worst be a trial full of idiots wiping everywhere? I'm sure a lot of the experienced tanks feel the same way. Which means you're left with mostly inexperienced tanks in the queue who then get *****ed at by the DPS and healers who then don't want to tank any more. Adding some incentive for tanks to queue for FPs would be nice (and no, Conquest does not count, most of the good tanks on my server couldn't care less about the Conquest rewards because they play this game to raid) but odds are all that will result in is a bunch of DPS queuing as tanks and doing a terrible job like they do already.
  3. Since HK came out people have been begging for a way to use "normal" armorings in him, myself included. Do want. An HK with 66 (what is that, 156 under the new system of numbering?) armors since those are fairly cheap to buy off the GTN and mods and enhancements from comm set gear shreds stuff pretty well but I'd like to get 180 armorings for him just for fun if doing so wouldn't cost me a fortune to get them crafted.
  4. Pffft, clearly everyone has failed to realize that stacking alacrity on tanks is the way to go. Got to get that taunt cooldown as low as it goes! (Sarcasm) My first character was a jug tank and gearing him was awful. I didn't realize how awful until I created my later healer and 2 DPS chars and found out that they can get all their stats from comm gear almost effortlessly. Yeah, the enhancements on comm gear are still terrible, but at least you can GET the stats, even if it's not in the ideal quantities. Meanwhile tanks can't get a useful earpiece or implant until they get to Dread Forged gear since the purple crafted Veracity ones are better than every piece of comm implant/ear in terms of mitigation stats (think maybe the Mk 2 Oriconion ears/implants might beat out the Veracities, but in terms of convenience Veracity is definitely the way to go). Also I don't know if it's just me but it feels like finding off piece operations drops (like the Oriconion mk2 or Dread Touched stuff, not the token gear) with anything other than crit/surge in them is impossible. I can remember getting 1 pow/surge off piece in the past month of HM and NiM raids; every single other piece was crit/surge or crit/alacrity. Gearing certainly should reward min/maxing and buying/acquiring multiple pieces to really optimize, but tanks could definitely use a little help with their comm gear. If they just swapped out all the useless alacrity/absorb enhancements from the tank comm sets and put in the high endurance/low mitigation enhancements that would make gearing tanks much less painful while still leaving plenty of room for min/maxing with the enhancements that don't suck and that can only be found in operations.
  5. There's 2 measures of accuracy: Melee (or ranged) accuracy which starts at 90% and goes to 100% (well it can go over 100% but that would be too much accuracy) and then Tech/Force accuracy which starts at 100% and should be brought to 110% with enhancements and the crew affection bonus. When people say accuracy to 100% they are referring to the first tab. When they say 110% they mean the second. Both of them move the same amount per enhancement so at 100% accuracy you will be at 110% tech/Force accuracy.
  6. Roommate just picked it up yesterday for his PS4. Thus far it is a non-cell shaded Borderlands. I'm sure it gets a little more interesting once you level up a bit more and get more skills and whatnot (he's only played about an hour) but it really didn't look all that amazing for such a hyped product. It's certainly playable, but it's definitely not the jaw-dropping, amazing, next gen gem it was hyped to be, which should surprise no one given how these things usually go.
  7. That. The expertise system is beyond stupid. Yes, it gives the PVPers something to work towards with their gear, which is fine, but it also means that players new to PVP/Warzones just get wrecked without much of a way to fight back unless they saved their comms during low level PVP to spend at 55 for PVP gear. Sure bolster helps a little bit but you're still going to get rocked by anyone with real PVP gear and losing 87 million times until you have enough comms to get the gear yourself so you can be the one clubbing seals just seems like incredibly poor design and is why I only PVP when Bioware does something incredibly stupid, like make PVP relics that are objectively better in every way to the PVE ones (I'm still pissed off at the War Hero relics being BiS BY FAR whichever patch that was) but that's neither here nor there. At least with warzones you are choosing to be there, being ganked while running around trying to do dailies or whatever when you are not on a PVP server is incredibly frustrating (if you are on a PVP server, tough luck, you signed up for that). It should be that you have to manually flag yourself to even target another flagged player/for your AOEs to hit another flagged player when you're outside of a PVP area. That way the only people flagging are those consciously doing it and not getting autoflagged for whatever reason on accident.
  8. Because they've said multiple times that the game engine can't do cross server queues easily. I think you're going to be waiting a very long time to see those as well.
  9. Typically finding a guild that RPs and does progression is unlikely to happen as they tend to attract different players. Not to say there aren't progression raiders who also RP (I know of a very small handful), but they are very few and far between. You're probably better off figuring out which of those you want more (progression or RP) and joining a guild focusing on that aspect, then doing the other aspect on your own. It'll probably be easier to join a progression guild and RP on your own (assuming you are a good enough player to join a progression guild) than it will be to join an RP guild and try to do progression since all of the good progression guilds don't take randoms to progression runs.
  10. Positing in the server specific forum would be more helpful, especially the guild recruitment section
  11. You don't have to but the Obroans are a huge jump proc wise over the Arkanians, especially since there is no Underworld mainstat proc relic. The Arkanian main stat proc is like +95. The Orboan is +625. That's not a negligible difference for something fairly easy to get for free. I hate PVP with a passion, but the Obroan relics now that they only take 700 comms to get are easily worth suffering through a week of dealing with PVP to get. Just be prepared to be whined at by people who think everyone playing PVP, even unranked, should be in fully augmented Brutalizer gear from the get go (I had someone cry at me for showing up in raid gear to an unranked match on a character with 10 valor. It's almost like that character never PVPed before and didn't have the comms to buy PVP gear, imagine that!) Hopefully your ignore list has space in it.
  12. There's a few different end game tiers at 55. For starters, when you hit 55 and do the Oricon storyline, you'll get a set of rating 66 (believe under the new numbering system it's 158) gear. This gear is good enough to do SM ops with (especially now that it seems 95% of the people running ops are really overgeared for all the story mode stuff). From there there are 3 main tiers and a few sub ones (I'm talking about PVE gear only, PVP gear is separate). Basic (rating 69 under the old numbering system, think it's rating 162 now) that can be acquired with basic comms from flashpoints or drops in SM ops (there's 2 sub tiers, Arkanian which have set bonuses and usually better stat distributions and Black Market, which is the comm vendor ones). The next step up is 72 rating (168) acquired with Elite comms (from Operations or Hardmode 55 FPs) or from HM Terror from beyond and HM Scum and Villainy (also SM Dread Palace and Dread Fortress last 2 bosses can drop a random piece). The comm stuff is called Verpine, the operations drops are Underworld. Same as before, the Underworld stuff has set bonuses and usually better stat distributions than the comm versions. There's Kell Dragon after that, which is rating 75 (no idea what the new numbering for that is) which drops from Nightmare TFB and Nightmare SV. The final comm gear tier is bought with Ultimate comms. This is called Oricon gear (comm version) and Dread Forged gear (operations drop version). Ultimate comms come from level 55 operations, same as Elite comms. The difference between them is the set bonus and stats again like the other sets. Dread Forged is better statted. You get dread forged gear in Hard Mode Dread Fortress and Hard Mode Palace. Just added in the new patch is rating 186 (which I think would be like rating 82 under the old system) gear which drops from Nightmare Dread Fortress. It's like Kell Dragon, there's no comm version. Usually how most people gear is by buying gear pieces as they can with comms and then swapping out the mods inside the piece when they find better ones. The enhancements on most comm gear are really really awful, to the point where it's sometimes better to downgrade a higher tier enhancement to a 168 one from an operations drop because the stat distribution will be better. Tanks seem to have the worst time with this, as a lot of the tank comm gear pieces have useless stats on them like alacrity, so literally any other enhancement would be better. Hopefully that answers your question. You don't need to be fully kitted out in Oricon+ gear to do most of the ops, it's only really when you do HMs and Nightmare that you really need to min-max.
  13. There's a crew gift item called a "Signet Ring of Ancient Tion" if memory serves just in case you can't find this specific trash item. Might be easier to find, though it's not quite what you're looking for.
  14. That. What are your computer specs OP? Everyone loves to whine about lag but I've found most of the time it's people trying to play the game maxed out on a 10 year old machine complaining they are lagging when their computer doesn't have the horsepower to run the game.
  15. It's not, tactical flashpoints are designed to cater to the lowest common denominator.
