  1. Oh bla, thats what im saying. The meters arent as bad as everyone is saying bh is. Some of you cry so much. Remember to factor in the overhealing by sorc and its not 50% output even when overhealing is included. Some of you just need to calm down. Maybe realize the game was too easy,,,hell i think most of you were complaining about that too. Bh healer will still have its benifits just like before. A good bh will still burst heal better than a sorc or op.
  2. OP is a little misguided. If a game loses the hardcore players they lose more than just subscriptions. Hardcore players not playing leads to all kinds of negative press,,,from reviews, blogs, and videos. This impacts many more people because people wont decide to play the game in the first place.
  3. So this is a problem i see. If you do alot of raiding in operations, you get nothing from flashpoints. There is zero that you get. Colum/tionese commendations mean nothing since you already have that gear or better. I really see this as an issue as people are getting bored. Guilds are falling apart fast simply because people are losing interest. Making flashpoints important even for raiders would make a gigantic difference in keeping people interested. Something needs to be added that you get when completing flashpoints or maybe just the daily or weekly. It needs to be something thats as good as the best gear for raiding. Even if its just a couple pieces (belt/implant ect), it would be a big difference. Im not saying make a whole lvl of gear as high or higher than rakata,,,,,im saying there needs to be a couple items that you cant get in Raids and are important. Right now raiders have zero reason to complete flashpoints. Compare this to WOW, where even the top geared raiders can still Accumulate Valor through 5mans, that is good for a couple items not available in raids. This is important as it keeps people playing and gives raiders a reason to do flashpoints.
  4. really? Not on my server. I havent seen a single one and im logged in alot. Also i know what i say is true just from talking to my guild and others. Guilds dont want to pug, ever if possible. Raiding is all staying within guild and its caused by no combat logs. If guilds could trust that pugs wouldnt waste everyones time,,this would change. Other comments about being able to complete content without logs totally misses the point of what im saying. Im saying bioware's intention is good, but it backfires because it causes more judging, more elitism. With combat logs, good players would be obvious from the stats. Guilds wouldnt waste time on pugs and it would encourage more groups for ops also people pointing out flashpoints is also missing the point. Im not talking about flashpoints in anyway.

I know the argument against combat logs for group viewing is that it will promote elitism but my argument is that NOT having combat logs is what is leading to Elitism and the mistrust of other players/ There might be differences between servers, but my server you never ever see pug operations, ever. Main reason that i can see is that Guilds simply do not trust that an outside member will do the job. With combat logs Guilds could trust that a person could do the job because that person can prove it, real fast. It would be obvious in the logs that they know what they are doing. Right now the atmosphere is, pugs are bad. This is sad and it comes solely because there is no combat log. Plenty of players could join an operation as a pug and would do fine. A combat log would show this and guilds could trust those numbers. Right now guilds wont allow any pugs because they have no idea. I know bioware's big objection is they dont want people to JUDGE others. Im positive that JUDGING is going to happen no matter what. It is impossible to prevent this. Pretty amazing that a modern MMO would think its possible to have a game without such judging. Without combat logs, guilds simply dont bother with pugs because they are JUDGING That pugs are bad. At least with combat logs, players could easily prove themselves.

  11. I told you what was wrong,,,but you dont listen. I never called u anything you are quoting either which is pretty misleading and low. You obv have a problem with people tell you your wrong,,,,EVEN WHEN YOU ARE WRONG!!! Thats whats amazing. You defending your crit/surg arguments the same exact way. So no matter what you are saying, you defend it to the death,,,troll posts in order to get the last word, even provide fake quotes if needed to discredit anything that might disprove what your saying. Id love to hear from one single person that gets anything from your new graphs. And the math side of things ive always been apart of in WOW. From the resto druid perspective. Thats why i spot someone thats full of it. When we have the ability to analyze overall healing/overhealing ect then there will be plenty of answers. Until then,,,pls dont listen to this guy. What drives me nuts is how many people listened to you about crit/surge. You should be banned. Even now your still wrong,,,alacrity is more important than crit/surge prior to the rakata lvl. Heat/cost just doesnt have the impact in practice that you assume it does

  13. lol. T-gear has alacrity but stacking everything else is a decision. I went with how it felt. More alacrity makes it easier to keep groups alive,,that simple. You spent alot of time guessing and justifying yourself, only to change your mind completely. How about this. Dont say you KNOW something when you dont! Or maybe hold off forming an opinion on something until there is more info? Even with what you did with the graphs. Its still all wrong. Maybe just keep throwing stuff at a wall and hope it sticks someday. Your graphs arent practical, because in practice its not all chain-healing, so heat cost isnt the factor you think it is. If a BH uses rapid shots to top people off and alot of kolto missle heat isnt this giant limiting factor even on the longer bosses. Then i Alacrity has a bigger impact even at the tion and colum lvl than what you are thinking. If you play bh correctly, even with all alacrity gear, by the time heat is an issue, the boss is dead. You may have some good points if bosses were 40min long. But they arent.
  14. yep thats it. Personally i think it doesnt need a buff unless its to the amount of healing or maybe making it a smart heal (hitting 3 with least hp). From the comments and all the crying about the sorc aoe, it looks like they will make kolto missle hit 4 or 5 players. The people that are crying simply dont execute it correctly and often enough. Generally i spam it on melee during raids. Maybe a 4th person would help sometimes but totally depends on the construction of the group. Like i said above even the 8person heal in pve rarely will hit 8 people. If it hits 5 on a regular basis you are lucky as a sorc. Because kolto missle is instant with no activation time, hitting only 3 has been way overdramatized. You can use it more often and faster. Most dont and they are just wrong. If we get logs someday they will know.
  15. Um ya i mentioned it in my post. The change will just close the gap between sorc and bh aoe and make kolto missle even more important to use whenever it is up.
  16. Ive always stacked alacrity. IF there were logs i think people would be shocked. Some of us just ignored this guy who obv thinks he is a know it all, even though he cant know it all. NO LOGS!!!!!!. You speculate and have already completely changed your mind thats it. Personally i think your wrong about the lower lvls for alacrity. A reduced activation time to rapid scan is a big deal. You reallly just look at it from a chain healing perspective which is wrong. In practice im always toping people off with rapid shots. Even if your eating some heat with the higher alacrity, its still manageable if the bh knows what they are doing.
  17. Use kolto missle more, you will see a difference. Remember no activation time, its instant. If its taking alot of time to use, then you are doing it wrong. It makes a huge difference especially in nightmare modes. The sorc aoe is great yaya,,but between the CD and the activation time Its not as great as alot are making it out to be. Especially in 8mans,,,generally you will not be hitting all 8 people all the time. You have some melee, some ranged, hopefully they are standing close but it doesnt work like that alot. You end up using it on melee. This is what i do with kolto missle. All the time, everytime its up. With the crits you would be surprised how much it can impact healing.
  18. OK, so this is my comparison. I have both lvl 50 bh and sorc. I raid with both. Both have no gear in the 120's (130's only or rakata). The bh does a little more rakata. I only pve. Fun Factor: Bh is more fun. If im bored I continually find myself logging the bh. You do more things as a bh, from topping people off with rapid shots to activating supercharge to keeping shell on the tank to saving people with healing/emergency combo. There is alot more going on. Sorc can still be fun but i see it as more of a chill type of fun. If i wanna relax a little more while i raid, then i would rather play a sorc. Healing: I honestly think people will be shocked if we ever got healing logs. My prediction of what those logs would show is that a bh and sorc heal for similier numbers of overall healing. If you factor in sorc overhealing, i think a good bh will heal more actual damage than a sorc. For me, there are less wipes and things are smoother when i play as BH. The only times that it is smoother when playing a sorc is when everyone in the group is in that zen state of mind and playing great. If people are avoiding everything, and the group is making very little mistakes a Sorc is pretty awesome i must say. /on the flipside, groups with mistakes, especially heavy damage mistakes id rather use a bh healer everytime. Sorc simply cannot recover from big mistakes like a BH can. The Healing scan/emergency scan is pretty powerful combo, 6-10k depending on crits and its fast. Add a supercharge in there and a bh can save even the biggest of mess ups. Utility: This obviously goes to the sorc,,there are numerous things here that make a sorc great but two of the biggest in my mind are the ability to shield others and the brez. Getting into nightmare especially or bosses like hardmode SOA, shielding is a big deal. I always have it up on someone. It really becomes part of your rotation. Comment on aoe: Sorc Aoe is great,,,hits 8 players, its also a hot. From looking at the numbers its around 4k-6k of healing per player, some of which is overhealing if there is no damage to heal. There is an activation time here and a long CD. Kolto missle on the other hand has no activation time but only hits 3 people (soon to be more in upcoming patches)/ The healing itself isnt the greatest,,average hits are 1000-1300,,,crits can go up to 2500. But if you factor in the buff it gives and the fact of no activation time, its really crucial to BH healing and more important than alot of people think. If you want a surefire test to see if your bh is any good? Watch how many kolto missles they use. Bosses are easier if your bh is always using this. Still not as great as the Aoe of a Sorc but its not as bad as people make it out to be. So thats about it, I think the utility of the sorc is great and they are also great in talented groups. If damage is really spread from adds/aoe whatever,,,sorc is also a great option. Bh on the other hand can be a healing machine, especially when kolto missle is utilized. Bh overall healing is much more than most people think. They can save raids and prevent wipes especially on new content or groups that will make more mistakes. Ill be playing both, for me i think ill be switching alot depending on the boss. Sometimes the utility or aoe (for spread out damage) is just too valuable, othertimes i will need the healing from bh to get through. have fun
  19. I agree with OP,,the DEVS seem like they have never raiding and dont get why having logs and threat meters are important. I doubt any of the really did serious raiding
  20. I really hate all the people that cry about repair costs. Everyone has way way too many credits. I do zero crafting, raid twice a week and do a flashpoint here and there and repairing is never an issue. Ever. Please dont pander to these people Bioware!

  22. Everyone seems to critcize the end-game but so far im enjoying it. We have done the normal and hard mode operations except SOA which we keep wiping. Yes there are some bugs but i dont remember the last truly original type boss that WOW has come up with, and ive killed them all. 3rd, 4th and 5th boss in EV are all pretty original. 3rd is the puzzle boss. you split up into groups of 4 and solve a puzzle at same time. Not a hard boss but even the haters must admit its a good idea and something that WOW has never tried. 4th boss, same thing, another great idea. Everyone in group has to kill one guy and you need to assign people to the right ones or its a fail. I dont think its the best boss in the world but again, its a new, different and unique idea.\\ 5th boss in EV,,,SOA. If you dont think this is an original boss your are nuts and you havent played MMO's. The platform drops and the way the group needs to work together in this boss is really creative and fun (except for the bugs of course)/ There are a couple boss's in karaaggs palace that are the same way. The 1st boss and the droid on the conveyor belt are both original bosses and pretty unique. For being creative and original i honestly give BW a very high grade,,maybe 9/10. Ive been raiding in WOW for years and years so this is my main comparision. So far i love this game. I dont get what everyone hates so much about the end-game. So people just hate these bosses? Whats your gripe about them? Other than that is it that you just want more content? I know some of the content is a little easy but thats what nightmare mode is for right? Even the haters must agree that alot of these bosses are great ideas and pretty original compared to WOW. Its not the same old tank boss/kill adds/avoid damage. I for one am optimistic b/c of this, they really are trying to do things differently.
  23. Both my toons have zero crew skills and i dont use GTN to sell anything. There is no point to it. I have plenty of credits if i need to buy something without crew skills or selling on GTN. Personally its a bummer, crafting could be fun. But its not. Not even close so i dont do it.
