  1. Yep I'm on board this game for the long run.

Loving it and many of the features:

    Companions

    Voice Over

    Story line quests

Crafting with Companions instead of sitting in front of a workbench yourself.

And of course it's...."que theme music'

    Star Wars

  2. Well, im still crossing my fingers that they will implement "something" more that WoW..

Be it player housing, villages or whatever.

More open areas, somekind of "discovery" system, hidden secret caves or whatever. I dunno.

    JUST SOMETHING =)

Hmm this got me thinking. If player housing in TOR is your ship, maybe villages could be a common landing pad where you can see other people and there ship and go in a visit. If they have an open door policy for access. Once they let us customize our interior it could be fun. Guilds could buy an entire landing pad for their group and hire vendors and guards, etc.

As far as exploring there are hidden holocrons and elites and areas that are hard to get to now. This will be expanded on in the future I'm sure. Discovery is what the Codex is right or am I missing your point. I would like to see a more open world at end game and more things to do, you just have to give it time.

  3. I have to admit this needs to be fixed first above all else.

It feels to me as if the NPC's actions have priority over mine.

I open fire on a group of NPC's, they react to my action then my action goes off. I noticed this back in beta playing a Bounty Hunter.

Now I'm playing my Jedi Guardian with Kira at my side I'll have an enemy almost killed and Kira will take the last blow because her actions seem to over right my own.

Hopefully BioWare can fix this before to long. Keep working on it please.

  4. I posted last night requesting advice on how to kill Lieutenant Marcovic in the quest New Intelligence. Since then I spend ~2 hours grinding to get to level 17. I took another shot to kill him, again, failing miserably. I guess this game isn't for me, because I can't figure out how to kill one godforsaken guy, a guy that is part of the main storyline and thus unskippable.

I'm not spending another 5-6 hours to get a whole level grinding.

What Class/AC are you? I did this guy last night as a level 17 Jedi Guardian with Kira. I'm not the best player by far but didn't think he was to tuff.

  5. hiya everyone :)

    really quick.

what is the afk timer out of cantina / inside cantina?

what is the max on points allowed for rest points (inside cantina)?

I heard someone was using heal droids. can these stack with heal stims? in other words, can we use a heal droid and still use health stims?

Also, what is the correct name for the heal droids, i may want to purchase some.

    thank you.

Let me see if I can answer these from my experiences in game so far.

AFK timer seems to be 15 afk 20 disconnect when server is not on full when full it is 5 afk 10 disconnect.

Don't think there is a max rest point, I know that I had rest points (green bar) and when I leveled I still had some left for the next level.

I would guess the healing droid is the ship droid that can heal but not fight for you. His heals aren't that strong. But yes you can use healing medpacks while he heals you. You can use any of your healing companions and still use medpacks. You get the "healing droid" when you get your ship around level 14-16.

If anyone can't help or if I'm wrong please correct me. Thanks.

  6. Not an option. If you look at the customer service forum, there are places where you can get stuck between doors that won't open. I'd rather not be unable to play for 17 hours if I chance upon one of those areas.

It's called EMERGENCY for a reason. And has a cooldown that makes it impractical to use every time you want to do a flashpoint. Still have to travel if you're doing one a second time for the day.

I've been in the middle of a cave in some back alley of Hoth and had groups wait 10-15 minutes at the flashpoint portal. What is so gamebreaking about a summon ability?

Ahem /stuck, you should try that instead of burning your Fleet Pass.

  7. Haha not to mention the fact that whenever you board your ship you automatically take off. Sometimes I go in there because its the closest storage and I immediately leave the planet...just to return to it a minute later...

It all convinces me that space as it is now is a placeholder as they stated before launch and more work or an expansion even will come in the future. I'm fine with that, having a blast on the ground game.

  8. This thread needs a "Desperately Needs Mail on your Ship" title.

It's the new slap in the face.

I do agree with the statement though and would add a dock/land feature in the cockpit. I can just hear my companions on the bridge now.

"Oh gawd he's trying to open the exit door in space again. Better land quick"

  9. I wanted to keep my ship robot out some to play differently and let Mako go on missions and she had better ratings for my crew skills (and at that point my only other member). But if he does anything at all to assist me he says "A pleasure to serve you master" or something. Not 1 time every 5 minutes, I mean every 5 seconds. Small but annoying bug. Anyone else experiencing this?

I feel ya, just got my ship last night and I'm ready to put a restraining bolt on my droids metal mouth. I had kind of a problem with Mako too, if she asked me if I was "OK" one more time...lol. I'm much happier with Kira as a Jedi, she only talks when we enter a new zone and then only sometimes.

  10. I agree with this post and with all the other posts about this I've seen. Mainly in the Crew Skills forums.

There is no difference between someone playing on a laptop with wifi and on a phone except the hardware involved. I really would expect EA to jump on this for the very reason many have stated already. "This is already possible but no one is getting paid for the app. " EA will want the money no doubt, they are a company about profits after all.

  11. I read the interview with Stephen Reid and even though he stated that they look at the forums and use that as a gage to adjust the game. They also use in game metrics and "gut feelings" I'm paraphrasing but he did say that part in quotes. That being said:

The reason many don't like this thread isn't because we want to see the other crafting classes languish in obscurity but in the past we have gotten use to developers that run with the motto, is it easier to nerf one thing than fix 9 other things. In this case crafting classes.

So yes I am a BioChem crafter on my Jedi Guardian and I am having fun with this combo. I don't want to stop having fun because BioChem is nerfed to uselessness. If BW takes anything from this thread let it be that the other crafting classes need to be retooled and made relevant.

  12. I'll believe they are reading suggestions when I get a playable Ewok Bounty Hunter.

I've been asking since beta and so far my cries for a collector of cuddle dodgers has gone unanswered.

One day you will cave in BioWare, and then i'll rampage across the galaxy as a little Ewok and cuddle EVERYTHING.

Of course, with Bounty Hunters being Empire they will be evil cuddles. I'll just have to cuddle attack people with a scowl on my face.

See this customer is obviously the majority of the player base. This is why we need polls.

  13. My idea is simple. BioWare has stated that they are reading and taking inventory of everyones suggestions. So why not create a poll that pops up at launch of the game that asks the questions that are being argued about on the forums.

After the poll is completed the number of Yes/No voted are posted in a sticky thread up at the top.

I would like to see this, but maybe I'm the minority. What say you?

  14. if you dont want the game changed by the "whiners" then get the people who dont want it changed on the forums against them. You say the complainers are the minority, well prove it.

I'll do one better. Why not petition BioWare to add a poll system at the launch of the game. Nothing to convoluted just a poll BW can use to get feedback from the silent group that never post but play the game.

I think that would show what the majority of the customer base would like to see.
