  1. Thank you for the reply. Makes sense as to why I couldn't do it. I had noticed that even on heroic 2's dailies I had more trouble than I had, even with a lvl 50 companion, but chalked it up to L2P the new changes issues and moved on. Evidently it wasn't (completely) that. To the Devs: Since you've nerfed the players/companions to the point that most of the content outside of the story mode is either unplayable, or unenjoyable, why not just pull it out? I enjoy a challenge, but when I go into older content, with upgraded gear and a level 50 companion, getting my....lightsaber....handed to me over and over by a lower lvl random BS mob(s) is not enjoyable. In fact it pisses me off to the point I just don't want to play at all. Thank you for reading my rant. /rant off
  2. I tried taking my Sorc through veterans' mode in Eternal Throne today just for grins & giggles & got smoked by the first mob off the shuttle. My gear lvl is 275. Since they stuck me with Acina for a companion, I did lvl her up to 22 and set her on heals and still couldn't past the first mob. I've run through vet mode before 6.0 and never had these issues. Are we no longer meant to do veterans or masters on the KotET or KotFE?
  3. I don't care if it is 2020 or 2021 before they release 6.0 as long as it's an actual full expansion. This non-sense of releasing 15-20 minutes of content every 6 to 8 weeks is tedious at best. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the KoT... story line, and enjoyed playing through it, but I would've preferred that it been released in one expansion rather than being dripped out. They've already said that there was a lot of things that had originally been planned, but that didn't make it into Chapters due to various reasons. So we missed out on a lot of story line, companions returning stories, etc...that were originally planned. KoT... would've made an excellent expansion (imho), but as a release done as it was, it was an incomplete, frustrating, and lacking that left most disappointed. Again, just my humble opinion. But Musco & crew seem to be spending more time on the forums reading opinions, complaints, concerns, etc... (and props & THANK YOU guys for that!!). So maybe if there is a consensus among the players that the full expansion is the preference instead of the chapter/smaller updates, that will be taken into consideration. If not for 6.0 then hopefully after. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4. Merry Christmas to Keith, Eric, the rest of the Devs, forum mods, & the rest of the SWTOR team. I know most of the year you guys have to put up with alot of abuse from the players that come to whine on the forums. They question your intelligence, integrity, ancestry, & future employment. I hope you know there are many many players who are too busy playing the game to come and complain about every minor bug/annoyance in the game. Thank you for your time, efforts, communication, and vision for the game. May you and your families have a safe and Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. I look forward to what's in store for us in the SWTOR universe next year.
  5. Fantastic. The team is addressing multiple issues that the community has been voicing for a long time now, the biggest being the low population servers. This, hopefully, will quell that. There are some great changes listed, and I look forward to seeing them implemented. I wish more companions were slated to return, and I do hope that there is going to be more to some of the story content other than just flashpoints. I would love to have a reason to use my ship again. There are times I'll board my, now empty, ship and fly to a planet just because it's such a novelty now, and remember when I had companions that populated the ship, with an annoying protocol droid that I, on occasion, wanted to blast out an airlock. New planets/missions/quests/dailies, etc...something that isn't a flashpoint, but that has purpose or adds to the story would be a nice bonus. But I'll just have to wait and see what they deliver. "A" rating overall, and here hoping for a smooth rollout of the features. Thanks to Eric & the team for the communique and keep the information coming!
  6. I'm glad to see someone else that thinks this way. I've by no means agreed or liked everything that's been done over the last 5 yrs. That being said, I absolutely agree that the level of vitriol expressed on the forums towards the devs is excessive to say the very least. I very rarely post, however, I do 'haunt' the forums frequently. 90% of the posts are people whining because they feel like they've been slighted in some way. I see people crying on the forums that x class is op'd, y class is up'd, etc...then when the adjustments come out you have people whining because it was too much/not enough/not right. It's insane. The games not perfect, personally, I miss my companions. I want them and their relevance back. However, me getting on the forums everyday and crying/whining/threatening to unsub or calling the devs/ea/bw names and questioning their integrity/devotion/intelligence isn't going to change anything. Eric has done a far better job in communications than some we've had in the past. Just because he doesn't answer in someone's specified timeline or to someone's specified question doesn't mean he's incompetent, hates the community or is sitting in his office getting drunk and doing nothing. As with all businesses, he's doing what he can in the time frame he can. There are always real life issues that crop up, combined with the restrictions/limitations/changes that inevitably crop up due to programming, company directions, or unforeseen circumstances means that there will always be changes/delays or alterations in what's delivered. It's been like that since the beginning of programming. The devs can't program to suit one persons or class of people. They have to work with what they have to the best of their abilities. This means that there will always be things you like and don't like. If you don't like it enough, unsub, go FTP, or just don't log on. Don't get on the forums and whine, no one cares. The devs have created venues where they can get the feedback on things they want feedback on. Use them. But don't expect them to take everything you say as gospel and implement it just because you say so. Considering the resources, problems, restrictions, and limitations the SWTOR team has to work with and under, they're doing a great job. They're are giving new content, fixing bugs, and getting feedback from the community. It may not be what we want or as quick as we want all the time. But the next time something is released that you love, remember there are 20 others who absolutely hate it. It's never going to be perfect, but if it were most wouldn't play it because there'd be nothing to complain about. If you're making everyone happy all the time, you're lying to someone.
  7. I've lost 4v4 matches, getting only 5 ot 6 medals & gained 1100 CP. But, regardless, the PvP matches I was in this evening, I gained between 9 & 15 medals in all of them. Based on past experience, I should've earned a min. of 1800 CP.
  8. I knew there were going to be some changes to the command points when 5.2 came out. But 5.2 isn't suppose to be released until Tues. I was in PVP all morning and most of the afternoon, getting anywhere from 1800-2100 CP depending on win/loss/CP boost/etc... However, I've noticed this evening, I was just in the Odessen one and the Nov Coast and both gave me less than 800 or 900 CP. Is this working as intended or what? Update: I just finished the arena with the Pylons...and I received 2483 CP. So is this just an issue where some of the arenas give reduced CP and others give the buffed?
  9. I had very few issues with the earlier fights (whoever mentioned Dulfy earlier was right...excellent resource!), but the 6th fight is just stupid hard. I'm relatively well geared, have a working knowledge of mechanics of fights, I've watched different videos on the fight showing what/how it needs to be done, and I'm not even getting close to beating brawler. I've been beating my head against this fight for a week and am no closer to beating him now than I was on day 1. As a sniper, this fight is just beyond difficult. I've completed every quest/companion/etc for the alliance to date, but this is one I am going to have to stop doing. I refuse to get pissed off trying to win a no win fight.
  10. I wanted to register my intense displeasure with the players scaling back to the planets level. I've already had to fight all this stuff at level once, I have no desire or interest in fighting through it again. If I'm forced to go to a lower level planet to complete a quest, at least I should be able to bypass all the misc. mobs between my quest objective & myself w/o having to fight every mob in between. At least give us the option to toggle this inane scaling off.
