  1. You can just skip incendiary missile and use flame burst or auto attack to proc your cgc. I hardly ever use im in pvp. Td in good rotation is excellent damage.
  2. I think it would be helpful to make RB same damage over 12 seconds instead of 15. Also make serrated blades increase initial damage by say, 15% and dot by 20%. That seems reasonable for 3 talent points.
  3. It's just a very shallow game in the first place. I play an AP PT even though I don't get the damage of Pyrotech whose only point is to use Flame Burst or Rocket Punch to proc Rail Shot. My job is to spam Flame Burst to stack Prototype Flamethrower 5 times for 50% damage increase. There's bascically only 4 classes in the game with a handful of cookie cutter shapes. And you gotta love the fact that everyone is loaded with CC. Bioware made this game using their rep as story crafters. Who the hell sees leveling as the most important thing in an mmo anyway? Having story makes it more palatable, but the dialogue is the same crap a thousand time over.
  4. What's this **** about moving flamethrower? The PT has Flame Burst which is instant and shoots once. Flamethrower is a different ability all together and must be channeled. No talents change that fact.
  5. Pyrotech is huge burst damage but it's about one of the shallowest classes in any MMO ever. Boring as hell, one trick pony. All you do is work for that Rail Shot proc. Maybe I'm just nuts that I'd rather have fun with AP instead of being whatever is best. I specced this once and got the same damage as AP or better, but spent at least 30% less time on the playing field.
  6. My friend plays Jug and he's pretty pissed with his class. He's pretty ****** at mmo's. He has a full Battlemaster Jug in tank spec and said he lost a one on one fight to a Trooper who had nowhere near as good of gear and just stood still the enitre fight. He considers them to be the best single target pve tank, but worthless at anything else including damage in dps spec. He's giving the game until March to see what they do with the big patch and then he's done if it doesn't agree with him. Hate to see him go cuz he's the GM and was waiting for this game for years.
  7. I specced AP from the beginning cuz I played Rogue, Mage, and Warrior in WOW and the close range abilities, mobility, and relative survivability added up to a play style I thought I would enjoy. I'm level 42 right now with pyrotech pvp gear and basically decked tfo for my level. I've had a couple games with 300k+ damage plus 15-30k prot using neural dart and I get highest medals 75% of the time. The 30% crit increase applies to flame burst, immolate, and rocket punch, btw. Spamming flame burst feels kinda dumb, but it's basically like improved scorch for mages in WOW. One thing I've been having fun with is my Relic which I pop for 150 alacrity and burn all my channeled abilities on clusters of players. I haven't tried out the Pyrotech spec yet, but it does lack the close range aspect of AP which I love.
