  1. shock is on a 6 second CD, wither is on a 10 sec CD, each contribute stacks to produce this end result up to 3 alongside the talent energize is the potential for numerous shocks in a row, also contributing to the stacks.
  2. This occurs every 10 seconds or so. i'd say it's perfectly balanced.

  4. Agreed, I also feel that the lower skilled pve heroes with low valor rank at 50 gett geared up far quicker than level 50 champions. OBviously bioware has a bias to the roleplaying\grandpa crowd which is unfortunate b ecausei believe this disparity in luck is not merely coincidence
  5. i've seen the best jugs on my server give the best sorcs a run for their money in 1v1, the amount of damage slam can do is insane, especially now that force charge is reset after push, jugs can do just fine. idk about marauders though

  7. Not sure, but I know there were times when 3 of my cores were parked at a time while I was playing, leading to GREATLY reduced performance, I tracked it in the task manager.
  8. just google CPU parking and you can find stuff on it. worked for me.
  9. it doesn't take a genius to realize that they are being toned down considerably. just wait till the patch hits. going to be like sentinel/marauder in beta. LOL
  10. the only justifiable scoundrel nerf that I can reason within the new patch notes was the reduction in hidden strike/KO's knockdown to 1.5 seconds. the reason being, although one hidden strike knockdown will fill your resolve bar, if your resolve bar was 3/4 and you got knockdown after being stunned, you could still be knockdown for the whole 4 SECONDs (3 seconds + 1 second delay). this resulted in far too much control on the operative/scoundrel part and is one of the only issues of unbalance i could find with the class, myself being a deception assassin, i can pull operative numbers easily, especially with surge adrenals or expertise buffs. the 1.5 knockdown is justified, the HUGE damage nerf however, isn't.

Hey guys, if you have a capable laptop and are wondering why you might get reduced performance spikes, chances are, especially if you have a multiple CPU processor in your laptop and are using windows 7, one or even two of your CPU's might be "parked", that is, they aren't active. this was my problem, as often I would have great fps, in warzones on my decent laptop, and then stoop down to single digits randomly. it was the CPU's parking. if this is happening to you, here is a simple fix that I used to enable all the cores continuously Go to Regedit click on edit, and find. - Find this key:- " 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 " - Within this key, there is a value called: " ValueMax " - This value represents the % number of cores the system will park - the default 100% ie: all Cores are potentially park-able - Change the value from 64 to 0 so the " ValueMin " and " ValueMax " are both zero - You will have to find the key a few times and repeat the process for each time it is found - the number of instances will depend on the number of power profiles in your system [ in my DAW it was only found twice ] - Do a full shutdown and power-off and cold-re-start hope this helps some people with their terrible warzone fps, or fps in general. cheers.
  12. i can run most settings on high, and be at a decent 30-40 FPS in warzones for a good deal of time. Randomly however, I will dip into the SINGLE DIGITS, i can't pinpoint what is causing this, but once it happens, it stays that way for a while and only occasionally will revert to smooth gameplay. could this be overheating on my laptop's part? if so, is there any way to check it?
  13. I've done around 296k in a voidstar match at level 42 as a deception specced assassin, i'd imagine with proper gear and level 50 talents, i could have gone well beyond that.
  14. I'm seriously at a loss of what to do right now, i've done everything in the book to try and figure out the issue, but I really can't understand the problem AT ALL. I run shogun 2 total war medium-high with 30+ fps, yet I drop to single digits with all low settings in a warzone. the funny thing is, I've been able to PLAY warzones with high settings for 30+ fps settings at a time, but it will just drop randomly to single and I revert all my settings back to low to no avail. does anybody have a thread they can direct me to help me with this issue? I have a 1 gig geforce gt540m 4 gigs of ram and an excellent processor. it doesn't make any sense.

  16. powertechs/assassin tanks and sorcerors is the key to any victory in TOR PVP, any other combo would be a gimped team.
  17. this is true, from everything i've researched, players with lower valor rank that start pvping at 50 get items up the arse, while valor ranks of 50+ go 20 bags with 0 gear.
  18. if you aren't good, you aren't good. if you want instant satisfaction as a bad, play a sorcerer or an operative. Assassins aren't a keyboard-faceroll class.
  19. the damage isn't mitigated, the tanks are still taking heavy damage even while you are draining away the healers. the burst end-game is ridiculous for DPS, in fact, I think healers have the uphill battle, guard is fine.
  20. any stealth class in the higher tiers of PVP content will wreck you if they get an opener, operative or assassin. both can have you down to half in around 3 or 4 globals.
  21. i'm fairly certain shadows/sins can pull that off with the right procs as well, but I'm happy people don't go around posting it on the forums crying out for nerfs. I was in a match where a full battlemaster geared jug was critting for 5k+ slams regularly. scoundrels/ops aren't unbalanced, there is just a very noticeable disparity between how some classes respond to consumables, scoundrels benefit the most because of the high base damage of their burst. but nerf em I say, I wouldn't really care. I can roll up any scoundrel so long as I get the opening as a sin.
