  1. My main is an operative since pre launch, and I'm done with concealment til they get it fixed. Yes, there's people saying "oh the burst is still there" but against who lvl 30s who don't have resilience in regs? It's survivability is also really laughable. You have to be able to roll to get the 1.5 second immunity to pop. If you can't roll thanks to all the roots, stuns, nets etc, that are currently in wz's (both reg and ranked) then you're stuck with...shield probe. It helps a little even with the talents, but with the damage output from the other classes right now, the probe pops and you still take 6-8k after the hit. Concealment has always been the "hit and run spec" but everyone can do that now. PTs are hitting for 15k+ and have more mobility and survivability than us, Sorcs and assassins are hitting for 14-16k and have our maneuverability AND better heals... I'm only going to mention look at madness assassins and their dot mechanics and damage.. For now, I am sticking with lethality til bioware pulls their head out of their bums and takes a hard look at class balancing.. or do we need to put up the screen shots of pts pulling over 2 mil damage with a 15k hit, or assassins pulling 2k dps with a huge hit before they realize that either the pvp system needs changing(which I think it needs to) or that classes need to go back to the drawing board and told what niche they are suppose to fill..
  2. I just think Carbine burst needs either a wider cone, or just do the full 360 for everything within 10m. Reason being: It's not very clear WHERE the cone is hitting, or how far it's going. On both my op and my scoundrel the cone just looks... stupid and lazy. I tested out a few positions with the cone and it doesn't even go the full distance on the cone, nor does it spread the dots really well.. We lost Orbital, why not just give us back that capacity in carbine burst. this way we are still a melee, but have a better flow when it comes to spreading dots to multiple targets... The debate on whether we should get a third dot (outside of concealment which is complete and utter Horse SH.... right now is for another day.
  3. The entire ranking system needs to be reset before the rewards come out. In the past week I have seen nothing but Exploiters and win traders. It's like they do not care about pvp because not only have they not fixed the chair exploit when it's been around for 2-3 months, but they are just now looking at bolster exploiting after putting up the rewards, yet will screw everyone of us who are NOT exploiting the system. Also, whats the logic of losing ~30 rating for a loss, but only gaining ~15-20 for a win? The system should be when you break even IE equal wins and losses that your rating should equal 1200.. not -100 rating when you started.
  4. How about they first: FIX RESOLVE/Stunlocking from all the classes.. Being Perma stunned is not my idea of a good time. FiX 10-15k Smashes/Mauls/Heatseekers/Ambushes FIX Bolster (honestly, people are bypassing Oberon because crafted blues give more stats) FIX Exploits! -The devs have known about things like the med table healing you up while in combat for a while yet they do not ban people who use it, nor does it even seem like they care that people are using this blatant exploit in pvp. Then they can fix what they already buffed in terms of operatives. If they do not at least acknowledge or even seem like they are even caring about this type of stuff in pvp, then I know quite a bunch of people who are going to take their monthly subscriptions to another company in april..
  5. You have to gang up on the op healer.. It's stupid how easy they are in pvp to just heal and laugh about it. as an operative main I want them nerfed for the good of the state of pvp
  6. What they need to do is nerf their AOE mez.. It's stupid that they have a 45-minute cooldown on it, has a 15m range on it, and doesn't need a target.. It should either only be a 3 second stun like the BH ones, or frontal cone only.

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but when using a maneuver that is supposed to de-lock a missile on you (barrel roll, updated evasion, etc) will not remove the missile lock if the opponent has a way to shoot two of the same missiles instantaneous(IE updated cluster missiles). It's very annoying when fighting in pvp seeing them lock on only to have neither of the missiles evaded even tho you used your evade in plenty of time. *suggestion: Please extend the amount of time it takes for a ship to re-establish a lock on you after you use such a move. It's very annoying while you're in the middle of a barrel roll to have your opponent have a full lock before you come out of it.
  9. I approve of these changes , although it doesn't bring us back to the 1.2 glory, it is a step in the right direction, and actually will make concealment viable in raids. I do like it that they are looking into trying to give both specs more survivability without buffing medicine (because let's face it, we're hard as stone to kill in medicine) and I can't wait to actually re-learn (lethality since 2.0) concealment. It will be fun
  10. I can see it now. "Hey give me 10 seconds to get this buff and switch back" I think that those parses should be invalid because it's not viable in a real time raid setting,unless your leader is a blowhard and likes to talk and discuss strategy for 5 minutes without the use of a macro (which are illegal according to BW). I mean, I'm fast at respeccing because I've done it so much, but even I can't spec concealment to get acid blade, activate it, then switch back in less than a minute!(average span between a trash pull and a boss fight) Hopefully in 2.6 we wont have to go to those extreme measures.
  11. I really hope that's more than just "Hey we boosted overload shot even more!" guess we'll just have to wait and see what it is.
  12. The scout is just overall better. Better turning, Way Better burst and Way better survivability. I have my rycer almost maxed yet I'm having more fun on the sting leveling it up than my rycer. The common misconception is that strike fighters are tankier ships than scouts.. that's not the case when my sting have only 150 health less than my upgraded rycer! Shields don't mean jack these days when everyone can just bypass them, have innate 100% shield bypass etc. I would love to go back to my rycer (or to my missile boat) but right now they can't stand up to the power that is the sting
  13. Giving it the ability to grant a TA would help better.. You can WB-Cull instead of WB-Shiv-Cull with the same effect. What would be nice is if they consolidated a ton of useless talents into one and give us either more damage in the two specs, or more survivability.. Wouldn't hurt to have every op get 3 stacks of TA or longer duration baseline too.

  15. As an operative main.. We ARE NOT in any viable position on dps in pvp right now, and they have no plans it seems to fix us. They expect us to go healing for pvp, and never die because our healing spec is overpowered as all get out.
  16. The dev team has really dropped the ball on our class.. I mean, it's been a couple of months since they put up a thread on ideas how to improve our class and not a single peep has been heard from them other than ZOMG LOOK AT THIS SPACE BS! It would be nice if they actually, you know, COMMUNICATED With the community..
  17. I'll gladly sign this if this means our class would actually be good at something other than healing. Right now as it stands our class goes against all philosophies that BW is trying to do. Let's look at the facts, we only have one REAL dps spec for pve (lethality) and it's an AOE spec with a huge ramp up time (longer than Anni which they decided to buff) that we get F-ed over if the mob either stuns us, roots us outside of 4m, or runs away for any period of time as well as does not work in short add fights. Concealment (although "viable") is not good for anything at the moment. For long combats in pve, it's worthless due to not only the RNG of the energy gain, but also for the fact that it's very very low spike damage, also, half the damn talents affect a move that BW themselves have said is only supposed to be used ONCE a fight. I agree our whole class needs a complete redesign for both pve AND pvp. I know I have "raged" several times since 2.5 in wzs alone because I can't even get my damn dots off before I get *** locked or can't get away from a back to back 9k smash. I don't think I'll be satisfied with just a little post going "we're still looking at the class". I think at this point we deserve a full on communication about the state of our class and not just "hey look starfighters!"
  18. I'm sorry, and you are?? This thread actually has some good ideas in it. It's just sad to see that the devs have given up on communicating with us about our legitimate concerns. Maybe they want all operatives to heal and every other class do 35-40k damage in one rotation but us in pvp. I mean, I do not do ranked ques because I don't heal and dps operatives in ranked are not viable at all at this time with all these *** assins and smash monkeys running around. I mean, I was having fun pre 2.5 on my leth op because of the ability to be in cover and set up from ranged without having the retardmonkeys leap to me and smash me for 9-10k.. now, I get angry playing pvp causing me to just splurt out everything under the sun (which again bioware doesn't even care what you say anymore) It would be nice if the devs would care more about a twitch stream and actually say hey "we're taking these under advisment" and open up more communications.
  19. No problem in ops, standing around fleet with 10-16 people dancing naked to strobe lights, but the moment a warzone pops.. instant lag. Honestly, maybe if bioware cared more about the game than just a select few classes they would fix the pvp servers to not lag like they do..

  21. My ideas from an old operative.. (main since pre launch) This may seem a little cynical but I had unsubbed because A)the state of our class is and still is terrible when you compare it to every other class in the game, b) because dailies are not content bioware!, and C) Because up until now they have shown no interest in seriously looking at rebalancing the classes. *note: Only resubbed to get in on the space combat deal* As stated in this thread there are 2 major things that us DPS operatives lack. A) Survivability B) reliable sustained damage and burst. First off: Survivability In PVE, I think we are somewhat fine based on my experiences with HM/NiM Darvannis (i just came back so I haven't seen the two new raids) a 30% aoe reduction would be nice, but not necessary as we shouldn't really be taking damage to begin with. PVP is where I think our lack of survivability is noticeable. Just about 30 minutes ago I got kinda pissed off at how fragile we are while doing damage (honestly, Assassins healing to full with no healer around is rather BS Bioware, but that's another thread) Shield probe, Action Roll, Evasion, and our weak heals are not enough to save us in a fight. We also can be easily stun locked, and slowed to death with no way of cleansing most of the slows except via Evasion. Sustained DPS and "On Demand" Burst. In PVE this is where it's the most noticeable. Yes, I know leth can get up to 3k on dummies ( I had 2.9k before I quit for 2 months to play WOW(again)), but with most of the fight mechanics I've been seeing with guildies streams in the new raid, we can't reliably maintain the necessary buffs to maintain our dps. PVP our DPS Is pathetic. I'm not talking "fluff aoe damage" but I'm talking both Group and single target damage. As concealment you live and die by the crits, yet, unlike other classes there is nothing in the tree that can guarantee you a crit. Also, you "blow your cds" so to speak and only manage to get a person in equal gear down to 40-50% where as all the other classes manage to do 100-120% damage when they blow all of their cooldowns(assassins come to mind with them doing 40k in one rotation while you're sitting there stunned or knocked down) Lethality in pvp, the dots don't tick hard enough in my opinion and it's too hard to get a TA to cull in the swirling melee that is a warzone. I've had someone (with Sever tendon on them) Kite me and stay just outside shiv range guarenteeing that I never got to cull. In both specs there is no deterrent towards a healer. Any damage we do is instantly healed up before we can even do our big moves again. Heaven forbit we are going against an op healer! we'd never kill them. Suggestions: Note, There have already been several but I'm just going to touch on a few of them I think are good. Survivability: ~ Make it so that we can actually cast our heals in combat. Long cast timer on our only major heal and our secondary heal costing a TA is not an incentive for us to use it in the heat of battle. Every other DPS class with heals secondary has either an instant heal, or an ability to proc one on demand.. Why can't we? ~AOE Immunity/damage immunity during Cloaking Screen's debuff. With game lag and input lag, cloaking screen breaks before we have a chance to break free from combat to go hide and heal up or to 'retreat to a better position' ~Reduced damage while Stunned, rooted, Mezzed etc. more for PVP but it's rather annoying when you're sitting there taking 8-10k mauls, Rail shots etc with no way to fight back or to get away after you've used your 1.5m(2m as concealment) Break. stuns happen more than once every 2 minutes (some classes have more stuns/roots than we do on shorter cooldowns) Damage ~Longer TA's/Better ways to get them. It's been stated throughout this thread that TA's are either too short to last through a stun, too hard to get outside of 2 moves (one that you have even stated bioware that should only be used ONCE per fight) and a Cooldown, yet half of our high damage moves AND sustained DPS require us to keep them up. ~ For the love of all that is holy, a way to make sure that we know which dots are ours!. I play leth as my main spec and it's fracking hard in the swirling fracas of a melee to know which dart is mine, or the snipers. I've refreshed a lot of dots prematurely because I think that the dart that's about to fall off is mine. ~ On demand crit for HS. If you want us to only use this move once per combat, then let us make sure that it's worthy of being used. ~Aoe's Breaking Stealth/Positional requirements. In both PVE and PVP it's difficult with server/client lag to determine whether you are at a person's side, front, or back, also, with every AOE going around these days it's hard for us to sneak in for our "once per fight" move as well as our backstab. Other suggestions have already been discussed and I like them.
  22. Not a nerf. I'm hoping that they will actually listen and fix us to where we're viable in warzones OTHER THAN BEING OUR OP HEALING SELF.. yes, I even admit our healing is out of control. when I want to piss a group off in a warzone, i respec healing and just laugh when they can't kill me.
  23. Some form of 10m TA generator for lethality would be nice. I know in pvp I get really annoyed when I set up for a cull only to have the person stay 4.1m away so I can't shiv..
