  1. As an avid PvPer and healer in Warzones, I support this debuff. If this were not the case in PvP, I know healers would dominate. I already make my team hard to kill, so if I were to have my full healing force, they'd never die. Having this debuff allows healing to be more of a tool than an, "I Win" button (which it sometimes is already). OP, I think as you get higher in levels, you'll see that this debuff and the balance it creates in PvP are very much needed. EDIT: You are 50. Hmm... >.>
  2. In a group setting, hassling their healer will always have detrimental effects for the opposition. If a healer is focusing on him/herself, they're letting others die. If a healer is being interrupted, others will die. If a healer is CC'd, others will die. THEY might not die, but everything else will. Stick one decent DPS on a healer and that healer is not going to heal others effectively. One DPS on a healer and the rest focusing down the others and you're going to win the encounter.
  3. Lolnerfthread says: Are you serious? Doing that much damage with low-end kills proves NOTHING.
  4. Congrats! You spammed AoEs. EDIT: For clarity sake, what about this SS is proving Mercs need a nerf? You're not destroying in that SS. Your kills are on the low end. Really?
  5. 1. Commandos cannot use Concussion Charge "back to back." 2. We have two knock-backs, one is without a snare. 3. Nobody can knock-back someone with a WHITE resolve bar. You've proven that you're a troll by stating things that aren't true. Please do yourself a favor and do a little research before posting drivel. NOBODY listens to you.

    defection quest

Not really. Once the player completes the "defection or retention" storyline, it would take off from where their mirror or original story goes. How are they not mirrored? Enlighten me.

    defection quest

Make defection only an option at 50. There wouldn't be any issues. They'd still be a Bounty Hunter, Operative or what have you, but Republic. It would also be a great opportunity to continue a story past level 50 (For example, "You have defected! You must earn the trust of your new brethren by completing nigh-impossible tasks, proving your commitment" or "Your loyalty is unwavering, allowing you access to top-secret, hard missions!" if you decide to stay with your original faction).

    defection quest

How would it screw things up? Republic soldiers defect to the Empire and vice versa all the time. Anakin would like to have a word with you as well.

    defection quest

I... would defect from the Empire in a heartbeat.
  10. Think of it this way: Unless there's an "Underdog" buff added, those Imperials are going to make it impossible for the 'Pubs to do anything out there because they know they can do so, unchallenged. Do you want to go back to the point-swapping? Because that's not any better. PvP means killing other players. I'd rather have to kill Imps than play Red Rover with control points. If you're wanting it reverted so you may solo your way to Battlemaster gear, that's silly. They should force you to PvP, which is what this new system does. The only problem with it is that it amplified the concern of faction imbalance. Asking to do non-PvP tasks for PvP gear is silly. EDIT: Bioware cannot change the number of Imperial or Republic players on a server. They can merely close one side to new characters. This mess is here to stay for a while.
  11. Do you honestly think the hundreds of Imperials occupying Ilum will just evaporate if 1.1 were reversed? Okay.
  12. In most cases, a decent DPS will eventually wear you down if you don't get help. I know it sucks, it happens to me all the time as soon as I throw a heal around . Just stick with other people and hope they know you're keeping them alive, so that they might return the favor.
  13. Being a healer in this game doesn't mean you're invincible. Sure, you might be able to heal through one DPS just wailing on you, but any more and you'll have difficulties. Positioning is very important as well as knowing where the enemy is so you can try to LoS them. Chances are, if you're able to make them follow you while your team tears them apart, things will work out. There's not much you can do if three or so DPS focus you. You'll die :/ Your armor only really hinders warrior-type classes, as other classes have ways to avoid your armor (I.E., kinetic damage, armor penetration, ect). EDIT: Also, you might try to kill them before they can kill you by outlasting them and pecking away at their health. If they're getting healed, you're not DPS-y enough to damage through it.
  14. I believe Grav Round is not weapon damage, since armor only reduces the damage you take from skills that "deals ### weapon damage." This means it's great to weaken high-armor targets against your other rounds, and eventually, really helps your talented Full Auto. EDIT: Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  15. We're in the PvP Forums, right? I don't care about PvE. Also, saying there's "no chances" of content is extremely juvenile. I don't know about your old server, but mine's doing fine in regards to the economy.
  16. I think that it's mostly a game of preferences, which you need to realize. I have a level 50 Empire character and have since decided to reroll 'Pub. PvE-wise, sure. You're right. There's going to be more diversity among guilds and more individuals to actually do stuff with. The part that you're mistaken about is the "better PvP." If you like zerging, go Empire. If you like farming the lower-populated faction, go Empire. If you like playing one Warzone, go Empire. On the other hand, if you prefer challenging PvP, go Republic. If you enjoy having to use your brain for PvP, go Republic. You also get to play the other two Warzones!
  17. Have fun with 24/7 Huttball.
  18. It depends, really. PvP and PvE usually call for different prioritizations. For PvP, I'd take the +40 crit/alacrity over the aim piece. How I prioritize my stats for PvP are as follows: Endurance Crit Alacrity Aim Surge Power I do it this way because I try to squeeze as much survivability as I can out of a slot before I start focusing on what I can do to better keep others up. I know I'll be a priority target most of the time. From there, crit/alac help to counter burst and pushback. Aim compliments your healing power and other aspects better than just raw Power. Power benefits damage dealing more than healing. Surge is great, but as the poster above said, it caps out quickly, paired with the fact you naturally get "surge" through talents already anyway. I can agree with what other threads have said about stats in this game -- too much is never good. It pays to be well rounded, but you have the wiggle room to be more focused on certain stats. If you find a piece that has endurance, surge and crit on it but can't find one that has alacrity instead of surge, oh well. It's not a huge deal in the end. Hope this helps
  19. Good thing Lv. 50 brackets are coming!
  20. This is incorrect. Power and Tech power BOTH add to the amount of Bonus Healing you do. You -cannot- stack more Tech Power outside of what your main weapon and knife give.
  21. Yes, but it only bumps you up to the normal 100% runspeed while in stealth and in combat. Un-soecced stealth leaves you at 85% runspeed in combat.
  22. I speak from experience, I cannot stun-lock a target once I fill their resolve bar. Others might be able to stun/blind/CC you, I don't know.
  23. 1. Once we pop out of stealth and knock you down, you are immune to all of our CC (other than snares) for 6 or so seconds. Therefore, breaking the knockdown CC of our opener still leaves you immune to our other CC. 2. If you manage to run out of our 10m range, we have -NO- way of catching up. 3. All of our abilities have cooldowns/stipulations or high energy costs. You can outlast and whittle us down easily if you use your cooldowns just like we do.
  24. This is what I plan to use for PvP healing unless I find points work better elsewhere. 33/8/0
  25. Stephen Reid said in the EGA post for today, that they would be aiming to get all pre-orders up to the end of November in tomorrow, which logically means that Friday would be the rest of Nov. and finish with December.
