  1. You know what...I decided to bite. No force in the universe can allow you prove that he's wrong when he says that: ---> HE <--- can't solo Heroics... Just saying... (and yes, it's called a hyperbole... an emotion... cool eh?)
  2. IGNORE that guy? You're nicer than me, Minty_Freshness. I'd certainly want to do something other than IGNORE a person messing with my food and water...
  3. Agreed, Avalyssia. I've ended friendships IRL with people like that. This is the pattern of most conversation with this kind of person: Step-1 = Prove to me what you are saying is true. I find the article / quote / video / news report. Step-2 = This is why it doesn't count...
  4. Lost of false modesty here. Apparently, some people think that because they can do content easily, and post videos, ergo, everyone can do it... ...they'd be wrong...
  5. I wouldn't suggest engaging. That person basically called KrazieFox a liar. So, it's obvious this isn't a conversation with that person. Totally keep posting, CombatLord. I tend to agree with you btw. I just suggest to not respond to posters like that. It's not a real discussion. Your call though.
  6. That sounds GREAT! Should be put in the suggestion box. I'm in...
  7. Well, there's tons of movies, for a while now, that are all about young adults and their adventures (Twilight, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Divergent, etc...). When I complained about it to my teenage daughter, she hugged me, gave me a kiss, and said "Papa, I'm sorry, but you are no longer the target market." I'm guessing with SWTOR 4.0 and some... (many?)... other MMOs out there, that challenge seekers are no longer the target market. And, if people's complaints are real that most games are being "dumbed down", then that's spreading in the industry because suits think faceroller money > challenge seeker money (whether it's true or not)... Fortunately for me, what I lost in movies, I gained in games. I LOVE easy faceroll (insert new kid word) games... i.e. Yay me re: 4.0... EDIT = Oh, and I've played Mass Effect / Baldur's Gate / The Force Unleashed / etc... on easiest settings. It didn't affect my experience of the story at all...
  8. I'll stop about level synch when people stop asking to nerf companions. I like things faceroll easy. Level synch is away from that. Companion power increase is towards that. If both sides accepted things as they are, I'd suck up the level synch more. But there's almost as many threads asking to nerf companions as there are to remove level synch (with opposition in both threads, of course). If others don't accept the new companion state, I won't accept the new level state...
  9. I 100% agree, but as soon as that person put "outweigh", it became a value judgment and, you can't get a person to budge from a value judgment. Ex: You could do math showing that instead of finishing the "kill 5,000 mobs" legacies in 2 hours, say, it now takes you 6 hours under level synch... the response will be "Still doesn't outweigh the bonuses". I do believe the problems outweighs the benefits, TX_Angel, but I don't think you will find enough to agree here...
  10. As much as I agree, I don't think asking will work. The following is a CONCEPT PIECE, but doesn't have practical parts because, well, facts people would tear it apart anyways. The only way level-synch would be removed is if it becomes cost-ineffective to maintain : 1-Take an Oprah Winfrey (yeah, I'm dating myself) popularity level player. S/he has a non-EA board i.e. EA board mods can't stop the posts. 2-S/he then puts strategies that are built on level synch that puts the Risk / Time vs Reward way out of whack, forcing EA to do bans + patch to rework Level Synch. 3-Then, redo a new strategy that fits the patch changes in step 2-. Often. Force EA/BW to whack a mole the problem every single week (say). The cost are lost subs / CC purchases (due to bans), and time / resources for devs. 4-If revenue loss + time / resource loss is significantly high, they can either undo level synch, or close the game. IF... As I said, no details. Will it happen? No. Not at all. Not ever. But in this imaginary world that exists only in my mind if level synch were to be removed, the above is how I'd see it happen. Asking will not work, sadly. NOTE = I have a higher chance of seeing weeping angels fly out of my (where the sun don't shine) before the above happens, but there you go.
  11. This. So much this. Thank you OathboundCoH for expressing the option I totally would want to have in that quest series...
  12. TLDR = I agree masterduragon. People suck, in game and IRL, mostly because they want to tell you how to talk and behave to their satisfaction. Their behaviour in game / on boards mimics their behaviour IRL. I think the responses just to your grammar pretty much tell you all you need to know.
  13. Hey, I'd love it if SWTOR fully rebranded itself as a single player game. Can't see it happening though. Sidenote = even though I emphasize the latter point in bold, underlined, and red, I find it amusing that, on a prior post with the same format, the very next post that quoted me was about... how it wouldn't happen... (not talking about you Mikahrone, just another poster... heh...)
