  1. Just want to say that if you have an iPad, go on to the App Store and look for the datacron locator. It costs next to nothing and is really good. It's very well set out and is easy to understand with clear map locations and written directions. I know searching on the net is free, but it is so easy to sit with the iPad next to you without having to switch out of the game every time you are looking for info. They might have it for android as well but can't say for sure.
  2. Just don't delete this guy you have now. You never know, you might take a liking to him further Down the road again. Especially sine you have spent the cash on him through the CC and in-game. I liked playing my bounty hunter and body guard. But the class did not grab me at first. I played loads of other alts before settling with them. I think you will enjoy your bounty hunter when your in the right frame of mind for him.
  3. This has been happening on my Marauder for a couple of days now, although not constantly.Maybe once or twice every gaming session. I remember it happening in the past also. The only thing I can suggest is to back up on your self while fighting if it happens again. It seems to work for me, as if its reseting the distance between your target and your self. Also does it while force leaping. I seem to land a good distance from my target and have to move in order for the game to reset the distance to how it should be. It's no big deal while questing and was some thing that seemed to disapear over time the last time it happended.
  4. Watching the BBC news this morning and they say Disney will be releasing a Star Wars movie every 2-3 years starting from 2015. This should be good for the franchise I hope. Just have to sit tight and hope for good things to come.
  5. most people I have encountered in this game where age had come up in conversation, seem to be around 17-30 age group. The oldest person I have come accross is myself at 42 at this point. Although, as you say, there are much older folks playing for sure. When I played another MMO (WoW), we had a player in her 70's who was a raid healer and a very good one at that. the rest of the guild was mainly made up of mid 30's to mid 40's with a splash of 50's in for good measure. We also had younger peeps also but just a few. I guess old farts sort of accumilate over time
  6. I'm still here since beta, although I did take a month off in August. I'm still enjoying the game for the most part and would like to think I will be here still for some time yet. I was not overly excited about the anouncement to go FTP, but will have to wait and actually see how that turns out. I may have my very little dig at FTP on the odd occasion, but for me it's still the best theme park mmo out there. My main game has always been EVE Online and has been for a long time. My best efforts are not tied up in this game so the loss does not feel that bad. I feel sorry for those who have because I know what it would feel like for me if EVE were to disapear. I hope SWTOR goes on for a long time yet.
  7. Probably nerfing it now so you will buy the crafting packs from the shop come F2P with your nice cartel coins.
  8. Oops, sorry. Yeah I mean Luke. /sigh Hangover blues this morining:rolleyes:
  9. Anakin uses a green light saber while walking the plank on Jabba's pleasure barge in RoTJ because the blue one he usually uses would not show up on the bright blue sky of the desert that they were filming in. He returns to a blue saber once the fight scene is finnished. Not directly aimed at the Star Wars films....... but By all acounts if you watch one of the flight shots of the Spinner (police car) in Blade Runner (also Harrison Ford), there is supposed to be a Mellinium Falcon disguised as one of the buildings they are flying over.
  10. It would be interesting to see what percentages of those games listed are paying subs compared to actual free players. I get the understanding some times that monthly subbers are practicaly dead weight as all they provide is the flat monthly fee. Alot of f2p peeps spend more on the store and are more profitable in the long run. Don't expect to much other than what you already have and content updates. Nothing more. If you want something special I have a feeling that your going to have to dig deep into your pockets for it just like the f2p lot. Just a feeling is all
  11. I totally agree. Like you said in another part of the thread a few pages back. Why should you need them at all. nothing should change for you as a paying customer. You payed full price for the collectors edition game and continue to pay a monthly fee. You should get the fluff and all the trimings since nothing is going to be game breaking in any way ofcourse.
  12. Granted, I stand corrected on that matter. If you payed for it at the begining as part of the original deal then fair enough. But surely as far as gear goes other than vanity, It should not be needed. but not everyone got the collectors edition. to some that bit of fluff was not that much of a big deal. But some do and have already paid for it. But I think the cash shop will not be the same as vendor on fleet. Thats what you paid for.
  13. TBH I have not made my mind up yet until it's had a good chance to settle in. Some things change..........BUT I say to EA/Bioware, put your money where your mouth is. If it will be possible for monthly subcribers to compete end game without needing Cartel Credits don't give them a monthly allowance. Not even for the months payed in the past. Zero, Zilch. We/they will already have full access to every thing just as it is now. Every thing in the shop will be fluff just like WoW and is not needed. If you need that cool looking mount that is so different, pay for it with real money. For the free to players carry on what you said you were going to do with the bank slots and certain content etc. Surely those who pay per month will not need them.
  14. Honestly, you'r not an idiot. If you don't know or have not been told how to do these things due to lack of information on the subject or unhelpful players, it's not your fault. The imortant thing is that someone asked rather than go blind for even longer. We are all still learning things Oh and just as a second thought there. If you get a new relic to replace one of the two you have equiped, remember to replace that relic on your action bar as it will not update the change otherwise.
  15. Equip it then drag the item to an empty slot on your quick action bar of your choice. Press/click the Relic...... Job done until cooldown comes off then repeat.
  16. Yeah, they are persistant. I will say though that since I stopped using MMORPG.com Web site all my phishing E-mails have stopped. Not had one since I stopped going there over 6 months ago. GIve it a try if you visit that site. Then just stop using it:)
  17. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I got a server merge very early. Maybe thats because I'm on an RP server and merging the three was not a big problem. But if you consider the amount of population amongst the PvP and PvE servers that is spread about. I would say thats still quite alot. Filling destination servers would have to be trickled in as people agree and move. Once they are happy that the server is stable or full, then move onto the next destination server. And so on. If they moved everyone at the same time, it would be chaos. Thoes unsubed at the moment, I would say have a time for a while before the mergers actually stop and the Dev Team move them to a server of thier choice of whats left I suppose. Servers are not closing down as the mergers go on, so I guess thats to give the unsubers a chance to make thier decision. Any way, I hope those who have not got thier destination server yet don't have to wait much longer. And I hope it improves things for you like it did for me. Good Luck
  18. Well he is rumored to play/have played EVE Online. I guess its other peoples tears he collects....... Purple ones preferably
  19. Just a point in thought. While starting my warrior there is a quest on Korriban where you have to pretend to help out a captured Jedi and let him escape. He says to you some thing along the lines of " I am sorry the Jedi did not find you first and give you a chance on the Republic before the Empire found you" (not exact). This was before the race unlocks in 1.2. So does that mean no matter what that the Jedi council would have taken in this sith and train him in the light side? Just an idea RP wise. I am on an RP server and wondered how much of an opposition I would get to this.
  20. Like people have already said before me, nice one Bioware/EA for splitting the community right down the middle. The 30 days are irrelevant now as those who are that pissed at this decision are leaving anyway. Which sort of countered the reason of you giving the 30 days in the first place to those who reached 50 with nothing to do and constant whining on the forums and in game of broken content and nothing to do. Can you blame some people not wanting to rush to 50 with all the negative hype in the first place. If you had not sent that email, no one would be the wiser /golfclap
  21. I started playing since early access and have just got my main to 48. My next highest character is 24. Like some already said here, work and married life is what takes up most of my time these days. My wife plays and although we play our separate ways, she is the same level as my main. I work 7 days a week 365 days a year basicaly (minus some holidays). Before the work I do now I used to be a raider in some games and heavily involved in fleets with an other. I am enjoying the pace and in no rush. The story is good and both Imperial and Republic story lines will keep me occupied for a long time yet.
  22. Here is a link to question 5 for you. Had it book marked for my agent also http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=273264
  23. No, be smart. I could not have said it better myself. All I am saying though is play Empire. They are not all evil as some make them out to be. Evil is on both sides.
  24. Can I just say that not all the empire is all that bad. I look at the empire like the Germans in the second world war. You had your Wermarkt (sp?), the everyday soldier. And then you had your SS, the true evil gits. The normal german soldier usualy did not like the SS but they had a job to do, just like the allied forces. There are plenty of instances that you come accross this on the empire side. I look at classes in this game lsuch as the IA like the normal german soldier who has a job to do and does not do things for the sake of being evil. You can see this plenty of times when you interact with the normal empire soldiers dotted around the worlds.
