  1. This is still broken on my Inquisitor. I can't start Fallen Empire until it's fixed, so this is a game stopping bug.
  2. I've been a tanking Shadow since day one, but I've finally just given up on tanking with my Shadow in its current state. Incoming damage is just way too spikey. And since Shadow DPS is largely lackluster, I guess it's time to switch to my Gunslinger or finish leveling my Guardian. Or just taking another break from the game...
  3. She's relatively new on the server and under a different name. Why would he know?
  4. That's because you bumped a thread from before 2.0 and all the trees changed.
  5. The ability to save multiple pre-set specs and hotbar ability layouts.
  6. Datacrons and social level are the two things I don't understand why they aren't legacy wide.
  7. Yes, there are games out there that you can forfeit your name if you've been unsubbed for a long time. World of Warcraft is one, heard of it? City of Heroes had the best policy when it came to name precedence. If you were not a paying customer and hadn't logged in for X amount of time AND the character was under a certain level, another player could use that name. Everyone knew how long and what level so people who really wanted to save that name could level that character over the threshold if they knew they wouldn't be able to play for a long time but wanted to come back.
  8. Take a good look at the new long hair and compare it to the Togruta already in the game. They're more closely related than you may thing. Only difference is the head-tails come down a bit more in the front. Not an insurmountable thing to fix, if you ask me.
  9. Because it was 'overpowered as hell' when WoW Rogues got shadowstep, when they also have stealth and sprint? That's silly, especially with a much longer cooldown on the teleport than a standard leap. But I really only suggested it because it keeps the teleport theme, not because I think it's especially needed. You'll note I also made an alternate suggestion of adding some kind of ranged attack with a moderate cooldown instead. Hell, you know that would be awesome? Make Force in Balance a baseline skill and replace the talent with something to really improve Balance. Of course, that'll never happen. As for 'getting creative' with the garbage we got, the 2 minute limit before the field disappears kills the skill completely. It requires not only precognition in knowing where to put it (not *too* bad) but also when to put it, which is stupid. Triggering the 45 second cooldown when the field disappears even when you don't use the teleport makes it beyond stupid. There's a reason why the exact same skill is on Warlocks in WoW, a ranged class, instead of a melee class. And that version is also far superior, with a separate skill for placing the circle (with *no* cooldown) and using the teleport (this has the cooldown, as it should be). Oh, and the circle lasts 6 minutes. Phase Walk is just a joke, and a poor one.
  10. It wasn't so much a 'this is what we need' suggestion as a 'this would be much more useful' suggestion while keeping the same teleport theme.
  11. No, as long as it has a 1.5 second cast to lay down the field and the cooldown triggers even if you're out of range when you try to use it or if it expires without use (including if you die before triggering the teleport) then it's just a toy with very marginal use, with most of that use due to the extra healing with the tank talent. Heck, remove the teleport aspect entirely and just make it an instant cast heal field and it would be much more useful than it currently is.
  12. Every other class got a useful skill while Shadows/Assassins got a mostly useless toy. Sure, it might come in handy about 1% of the time but if it mysteriously disappeared in some patch I can't say I'd really care much. Can anyone say that about the other new skills? What would have been far more handy would have been a 30m range teleport *TO* a target or some kind of 30m ranged attack on say a 30 second cooldown. Either of those would be used far more. I won't hold my breath on any kind of improvement to Phase Walk though, so off it stays with the rarely used abilities.
  13. Phase Walk is terrible. It's nigh useless. What would have been useful to all specs would have been a 30m range Shadow Step, which teleports you directly behind the target. Give it a 45 second cooldown. The Shadow Shelter buff can just apply for 10 or 15 seconds to any ally within 5m of the teleport.
  14. Now I didn't like the game in general, but one of the things that Guild Wars 2 did right was there's no such thing as kill stealing. Everyone who attacks a mob gets credit for killing it, so there was no reason to not help people kill stuff. It made open world much more cooperative rather than competitive.
  15. When you destroy an objective, your lightsaber is put into a state where it looks like it's drawn but it's not actually drawn. That's why it stays 'on' when you mount and why you have to press Z twice to sheath it (once to draw it for real, the second to sheath it again).
  16. Force Potency, the ability that buffs Telekinetic Throw to 30m range, has a cooldown of 90 seconds. My Shadow is Kinetic specced; it is still 90 seconds. From what I can see, the PvE tanking armor set bonuses are still a buff to Shield and a buff to DR and doesn't affect the recharge time of Force Potency either way. Are you sure you're thinking about the same ability?
  17. First time I've seen this thread. Why do these not exist in the game?
  18. Because Force Potency has a 90 second cooldown. If you count that then you might as well count Saber Throw since it recharges 3 times faster.
  19. All I know is there was this one hot dude I grouped with but when I started hitting on him, he totally turned out to be a GIRL! I was outraged and it made me question my femininity! Now everyone will think I'm a lesbian!
  20. PvP: - Way less CC. - Way less spike damage. - A replacement for Ilum open world PvP that's actually fun. PvE: - Continue the class stories. It's by far the #1 reason people play. - Same sex [Flrits]/romances - Dual specs
  21. This is nothing new. Resolve works exactly as designed. The problem is it's very poorly designed.
  22. I'm well aware that now expertise damage and DR 'negate' each other. I'm saying I preferred when DR increased more than damage since it lead to longer fights. As a matter of fact, I *really* prefer how WoW did it with the PvP stat only adding to DR and not adding to damage at all. I prefer longer, more strategic fights to this dead in 5 seconds BS. I don't recall anyone complaining about fights lasting too long back then, but there sure are a lot of complaints about fights being too short right now. I play a tank in full war hero gear, so this isn't a 'get gear' situation. But with all the armor penetration and elemental/internal damage being thrown around it's almost pointless being a tank right now. Guarding someone is almost suicide right now so taunt is the only the only thing that's really helpful, and you don't actually have to be a tank to use that.
  23. PvP in this game could be decent, but ever since 1.2 when they adjusted expertise damage at level 50 has been out of control, especially when coupled with ridiculous things like 90% armor piercing on an incredibly easy to use ability. Since damage is so far beyond what it should be, it exasperates the impact CC has (since it's so easy to die in the span of being chain CCed) and abilities like Undying Rage (since damage is so high in general a Marauder can mangle someone in the span that they themselves are immune to damage. Until damage is brought under control, PvP will be dominated by absurd spike damage which does nothing but piss most people off and leads to terrible, zergy gameplay where you spend half the time trapped behind a forcefield hoping to get back into a fight where you'll just die again in 5 seconds. There's no strategy and it's not fun.
  24. Which is complete BS imo.
  25. I say SWTOR has 3 subscribers left. Anything more than that is clearly EA lying. You should also believe me, a random internet person with an axe to grind who's totally not pulling numbers directly out of my rear end, over official financial reports.
