I know how you feel. I lost my original name (That I'd had since early access) to server merges a few years ago. I never saw the character that had the name online, not even once. I kept them added hoping I could bribe them for the name, but they never logged in or replied to any mail. So since then I'd been using two obscure names that I barely had any attachment to. Sadly, I lost both of those names tonight. I'd love to keep playing, but I don't think any kind of immersion is possible for me at this point..

(I've been gone a while, so I'm just now noticing this) Seriously. It seems like most of our attacks are either lightning or melee-based now.. Vanguard LOOKS like a Trooper, but Commando FEELS like a Trooper.

I'm super disappointed by this to be honest. Just bought a level 60 and now I feel like I should just delete it since it didn't even include all the titles you get from your class story line. What a rip off.

I wish they'd just add this already. I've lost count of how many times I've re-rolled the different Jedi classes because I wanted a different play style, but wanted to keep the same name.

Thats a good choice! Too bad its taken though. I've really had luck with either made-up names or really obscure names.. Hence why these two sound so strange.

I'm currently working on leveling up a Powertech. Only problem is I'm still torn between two fiery names that I like and just can't decide which to use. Ignito or Incendo. Been using Ignito, but wondering whether or not Incendo sounds more like it could be an actual Star Wars name. (First world problems, I know. But this is kind of bugging me~) Any suggestions?

Trooper is the class. Vanguard and Commando are just offshoots from the actual class itself. If they were different classes, they'd have a different story line, starship, etc. I really don't see the issue with a paid AC switch from one of those sub-classes to the other. The only problem really would be gear. Like if someone switched from a Heavy Armor wearer to a Medium Armor wearing AC (Guardian/Juggernaut to Sentinel/Marauder). Comparing the Advanced Classes of a single class to completely different classes (Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight) makes no sense. If it helps, think of this whole concept like one big re-spec.

Being against Advanced Class switching is stupid. Honestly, if you're not going to use it, what do you care? Also who even has the time and/or patience to re-do every single thing they did all over again just for a slightly different play style? It's ridiculous. I'd rather just buy some Cartel Coins and use it for an AC switch or something.

I seriously hope they add this sooner than later to the Cartel Market or wherever.. I get tired of my character's looks SO fast. XD

I'm kind of in the same boat here.. Some jerk snatched up the name "Jax" on just about every server just after launch so I'm pretty much screwed if I take their free server transfer. ..Which shouldn't have even had to happen in the first place if they'd have just launched normally instead of that whole.. stupid thing where they didn't let everyone start the game at the same time so people lost out on names.

I've been looking to make a Jedi character to use as a new main, but mostly for PvP once he hit 50. Which is more FUN to play when it comes to war zones and open PvP? Jedi Sentinel or Jedi Sage? Role/Combat style doesn't matter to me, I'm just after the fun factor here.

Well. I suppose I could give JK another attempt. The last time I got all the way to 40 and most of the way through Hoth before burning out. Always did enjoy all that single-bladed lightsaber combat, that's one thing I missed when I played a Consular. Something about the Consular's voice (Yes, I'm one of the few that actually likes it.. lol), their whole.. monastic demeanor and their diplomatic approach to issues just appeals to me and kind of pulls me away from the idea of playing a JK though.. It's as if Bioware took exactly what I wanted to play and split it into two different classes. You know those Jedi on Tython (where you first encounter the Flesh Raiders) that wear the Jedi Knight robes, yet can use Consular abilities? THAT'S what I'd want to be. Maybe I'm just too picky.. XD

I've played both classes and all their advanced classes. Yet I'm still unable to decide on one to make as my main. I'm looking for an extremely lore-friendly/canon style character. So that leaves me with choosing between either: Jedi Guardian OR Jedi Sage Problem is I can't decide between the two at all, I love different aspects of both.

I'm in the same boat as yourself. It's one of those little features I was really looking forward to at launch or even perhaps the first major patch after launch.. But FIVE months later and barely anything has changed aside from the Legacy system.. Which costs an arm and a leg to even begin to use.. But I digress, I'm probably not going to stay subscribed much longer if this doesn't change soon.

Wouldn't mind the ability to pay the NPC that allows you to pick your AC to change it again at any point in the game. I re-rolled Jedi Knight maybe.. six times because I've gotten bored and wanted to play a new playstyle for a while while still being a Jedi.
