Thanks for answering for both of you. it's indeed good news to know that some changes are made and healing as merc is back.. i kinda fear that i will need to roll my spec into dpsing - not that it isnt good or fun , it is just not me .

Hi all, as the Title meaning i wasnt played SWTOR for long time (close to one year). i used to play Bodyguard healer Merc. even when the nerf hit us i still played that on the PVE content and on the PVP. even when players prefer to get sorc/agent for healing ops.i leveled from 1-50 as healer. my question is (as i havent played long and wasnt here for the 2.0) is there any improvment to play merc healer? players across the general chat say that now even the dps merc can heal ,is that so ? it take time to for me to get back where i stood, i fell old,rusty even the movement is to get used to again.

While i agree with you Elyx allmost completly... there some thing i need to add. i use allmost all keybinds exept the mouse moving ..i turn with mouse so the BT HM last boss isnt issue .on her i use the mouse moving since there is nothing else to do and also throw on the floor aoe heal to assist if needed. i heal also Denova/EV/Palace .. and i see everything . am i still count as clicker? i dont know. i dont click with mouse on abilites only the moving is with WASD. plus after 1.2 made my UI more clearly put everything on the middle in form of Razer naga UI .even minimap is in the middle so all my sides are open to view more. on pvp ...that totallty diffrent story.. yes if the enemy didnt spot me i can heal in one spot for ever..-or until i heat up. but if im focus down i have to move..and if i only move with mouse it seem like i miss some heals. i find it for me (as you said it personal) better to turn with mouse move with WAD and heal with keybinding. that is for me at least .. if i still be stargling i will try do all Mouse movment ..but as i mention it before..i try did it hard for me esp' after playing like this in "other" game for 4-5 years.

Tab pvp is crazy...if the player went in with pets you can target pet too..very annoying. i prefer mouse select. i find it easier for me to select allies from the ops bar easy to heal for me like this. i use Merc Stealth keyboard so wasd are in the other left side (allmost seprate from rest of the keys) i macro's the 1-11 in the merc stleasth to do other things for me and use them on abilities and such.

Thanks you all for answering. ok i got the big picture. just where i can find in SWTOR what are the soft cap for each ability so i can know what to aim for? experstise got DR as well then i suppose? p.s i pvp alot ,as well pve .

the one i find very diffuclty on the only mouse moving is the targeting issue..on pvp or (and i play healer) heal on pvp you need keep press them with mouse on the ops bar names...so if i only moving with mouse how i can choose them from the bar ? i wll have to stop..this why ikinda stay with wasd.. and yea was thinking as well remove the s key.

well i did wrote email to Bio support few days ago and got reply back yesterday about that. they said they know lots of ppl have some issue with their legacy name -some just dont like it or type with an error and now its shared with all their chr on that server.. they going to make it happen but didnt give me any date when it will be..or perhaps it will cost some $$ to do so. but they aware on it and say they will add it in the coming paches. hope they stand with their word.

Hmm i use keybinds moving with wasd and use the mouse for turning. im doing a lot of pvping (melee) and find this ok. i know i should start only moving with mouse and quit the wasd as well -they can be used to other keybininds for O**** abilities...but im to use to it by now. so hard change old habbits.

Well probably a noob question but.. will ask anyhow. what is the diminishing returns everyone talk about? how it effect crits? i hear if you got about 35% crit on Marauder you are deep into the DR ..true? what it acaullty do? Does DR effect other abilities otherwise?

well we did duel just for the fun of it. i just wanted to say it seem the Sorc got more easy time healing and dpsing then the Bounty hunter. just thought if anyone had better result dueling healer

not quite..sometimes you want to prevent them the run back and you can easily top healed them when they get the revive before you got hammered. so yes you can . wherever when to use it is hard to spot.

I play a bodyguard spec for pvp . valor 63 full BM gear .still farm my warhero gear. (dont have even 1 item yet). i dont ask you how to play vs dpsers or tank since i never tried kill them only heal through them when they hit me..but few days ago i did duel with my friend who play Sorc healer with valor 40 he have cent/champ gear and about 4k hp under me..but i cant seem to won duel vs him.. i get out heat very fast and seem like his force never end. if i attack him he easily out heal it and i got myself up on the heat so basicly i just healing me but we all know that by far, if you only heal and no dmg you will die in the end. sure it took loooooooooong time but still i couldnt hit him and only heal myself he could dps and heal himself without any problem. anyone who played healer before got some tips?

Well yea we did got nerfed . i myself playing a healer spec bodyguard on pvp and arsenal as pve . But..im on full BM gear without any piece yet of the warhero and i can tell you that we still very good. yes we cant spam any more rapid/healing scan like there is no tomarrow and yet if a smart dps use interupts on us we are doomed.. but that not say you cant do change in the field.. i still top healing every single match or 2nd on it with 350-400k healing on huttball. your not suppose tobe able to heal every single one and yourself when you get beaten up with with 3 players on you like it was pre 1.2 ,yes it was fun and all but that how i like to be..i prefer skill on just being a OP class. so if you only smash 2 keys and want to be TOP OP that just wrong. they need to change some nerfed they did to us both in dpsing and healing but. i dont agree that we are totaly useless now..if you say so then you just one of the out of skill merc out there. learn your ablities move with mouse and control your heat.

can you crit? (augmented) the Rakata of the armortech ? anyone tried it after 1.2?

1) So i got my BH to level 50 and crafted my Rakata wrist&belt. i still have about 6 alloy left to try crit this crafting to get augmented, should i do it? or orange gear is better then to crit Rakata? 2) one more question i have..is there a schematic to make gear augmented or you just have to crit it? 3) Someone told me if i send my crew to mission (underworld trading) of grade 6 i can get the scematic of the augmented.. any true in that? thanks for any answering . While this is true and i myslef in the same sitation as BH healer , i cant denay or see the outcome of this change --> while me still like to be healer why groups around should take you to heal their ops when they know you cant do the job well like other healer can. so its not question if i play healer or not..its just i dont find a job as healer to go with.. im still trying to heal my pvp wz and to go ops as well but it is painfull you have to be top geared to be taken to ops when other healers can go with thier Cent/Champ pre 1.2 gear

Like all above i have to share our nerf . i leveled as Bodyguard healer all the way up to 50 been doing ops/pvp as well as healer ,pre 1.2 i usually got 300k healing every single wz and about 100k dmg,i could easy maintance 2-3 guy that hit me and even if i die i was at least knowing i did some diffrence. now on 1.2 my healing are much harder every time i got overhitted i need to use lots more rapid shots and i cant use it on myself..so if in pvp i focus down i killed much faster even with my shield up. on pve i got it a bit easier but still lots of heat managment to do needed to reset my tree (dont know why they didnt reset it for us like they did for others) and take off the haste and put in adv vent to vent more heat when needed. honstlly..im a good healer esp in pvp ,i now get to 280k~ healing and my dmg is about 25k. i can easily burst down with single dps .. while we did needed a nerf ..not like the one we got. so No i not going to subb that just foolish to do ,instead i going Arsnal/pyro and chaning this 280K healing to 500k DPSing.. good job Bio.. thanks for destroying enjoing class and make sure no one take BH healers into ops..Operative are MUCH better now.

Hmm i might be mistaken but i think in 1.2 the cap is 2000 wz.
